One of my favorite songs in the series (not just because of the name BTW). If they ever bring Yuuka back. I hope they remix this for her theme. It's truly a beautiful theme.
I love this song. It really captures the "eleventh hour" vibes of the stage. Looking back on the adventures you had and getting ready for the big finale
I DON'T GET IT!! WHY IS IT CALLED "LOTUS LAND STORY" IF THE FINAL BOSS IS APPARENTLY OBSESSED WITH SUNFLOWERS?! Edit: Question was answered, thank you.
Its quite simple actually. Lotus can be described as anything but in this case it refers to a flower. Yuuka loves sunflowers hence the game being called lotus land story.
lotus land as in the land of the lotus, story as in the story of the land of the lotus guess where the lotus is regarded as a high symbol yes in asia guess what the game theme is eastern and western theme put it all together and it basicaly means "story from an eastern land"
Alex Renk Wow. I guess ZUN was a bit repetitive with the titles, since there's also "Story of Eastern Wonderland". Thank you for the clarification, though.
Missy Grinch Well if you want to get specific then SoeW is more about mythology (spirits, witches etc.) while LLS is more of a story about a far away land with lots and lots of flowers so the Wonderland in SoeW referes to myths while LLS is simply a story that happened so there's a difference between a myth and a story, even if both are very much alike
You are by now tired of the endless swarms of youkai at your shrine. That reason has now brought you here to Mugenkan. You have seen the girl before, but now naptime is over. and this was a real battle.
Well.. I can think of one reason, one being Yuyuko's needing to lecture youmu on the nature of the Hakurouken, though Eiki ends up giving it to youmu anyway.... I'd suppose it's simply the uncomfortability of always being spoken to in such a direct manner.
You could interpret it as not meant to be a fighting contest, but that is one interpretation. Do note that this is set during an incident, you know, when a Touhou's first reaction is shoot first, talk later. Also, Eiki would have little reason to lecture Yuyuko, since they have likely met several times and are in the same business.
well... Yukari running from Eiki seems to be something that isn't meant as in strength. It could possibly be that Yukari, for all her double-speak and secrecy, would be pointless to argue with Eiki, who always speaks correct truths.
I think you misunderstood what I said. Why would Eiki lecture Yuyuko? Yuyuko has likely met with Eiki more than once, since jurisdiction of the netherworld was given to her by a Yama. Also, according to Eiki, one of the good deeds Youmu can do is listen to Yuyuko. That and if Yuyuko sends a ghost back for judgement, that ghost will most definitely go to Hell. I can understand Yukari not wanting a lecture, but Yuyuko? That seems odd. In either case, if you have seen PoFV, lecturing is fighting.
Starxsword No, lecturing is actually just lecturing. In the game it's depicted as fighting. Why would you fight the one person that can send you to an eternity of suffering?
ZUN's comment about the track: "This is a very short song (^^; I think it came out very lonely-sounding, too (^^;;; Well, in any case, is it, I wonder? Kind of. Uja~"
True. It also makes me wonder what Aya meant in the final scene of StB. Did she imply that Suika is the most powerful youkai or that oni in general is the most powerful group?
>Yuukarin outranks you >Easiest final boss, even easier than most of the 4-stage bosses Like, for real, even Marisa called her easy after beating her up. Just try playing LLS, i'm pretty positive about that this is the easiest of 6-stage bosses and easiest game overall, except for fight with Reimu/Marisa, which is on whole different league from LLS. By the way, i wonder why almost everyone thinking that Yuuka is the strongest. Is there some kind of obviousness that i can't see? For me she looks like somebody, who like to crush weaklings, but who's not really strong.
1:official confirmation from print works 2:master spark 3:outright beating Shiki Eiki in an outright fight (which is something Yukari could do, she probably noped out of there in order to not have to deal with getting lectured)
Really? I thought Suika would fit the bill more if we are talking about youkai. Yuuka, at least, challenged Eiki for the strongest in Gensokyo title, unlike Yukari, who just ran.
+SN Reza *The background looks like Kansas back then and in it's promotional posters, but it looks nothing like how it looks now. I live in Kansas. I haven't seen a sunflower in sight.
well, Yuka does always have a relaxed demeanor~ you can expect her land to be the same.
yeah even if she is (not always) a very sadist in t=reality she is very relaxed and calm too like a nature youkai >:)
One of my favorite songs in the series (not just because of the name BTW). If they ever bring Yuuka back. I hope they remix this for her theme. It's truly a beautiful theme.
She already came back :p
True. I meant if she ever comes back in another Windows game besides Phantasmagoria of Flower View or Hopeless Masquerade.
Imagine someone hacking this into the Dream Land stage in one of the Super Smash Bros. games.
lol
someone actually put this into a kaizo hack lmao
Kirby + Touhou = Dreamland
Music = E T E R N A L
Its a little moment of peace before hell starts
I really love the final part starting on 01:05 for some reason. It's beautiful.
God I LOVE this song from the moment I first heard it for the first time of my life TvT
This actually sounds like a staff roll theme... :0
I love this song. It really captures the "eleventh hour" vibes of the stage. Looking back on the adventures you had and getting ready for the big finale
The theme is so light
The best stage 6 theme of ALL games, i even like it more than "A sky of small desires" which i like more than most themes already
So beautiful
S :)
B :)
1up :D
F :) -> NO BULLETS :)
Remiu's Return to Dreamland anyone?
Make it happen
Pikno, didn't Reimu return to the Dream Land/World (?) ?
No sorry
mima's return to the franchise
Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom... Reimu returned to Dream World for easy travel to the Lunar Kingdom.
I DON'T GET IT!! WHY IS IT CALLED "LOTUS LAND STORY" IF THE FINAL BOSS IS APPARENTLY OBSESSED WITH SUNFLOWERS?!

Its quite simple actually. Lotus can be described as anything but in this case it refers to a flower. Yuuka loves sunflowers hence the game being called lotus land story.
I still don't get why it can't be called "Flower Land Story", or why Yuuka couldn't be obsessed with lotuses instead.
lotus land as in the land of the lotus, story as in the story of the land of the lotus
guess where the lotus is regarded as a high symbol
yes in asia
guess what the game theme is
eastern and western theme
put it all together and it basicaly means
"story from an eastern land"

Something to add to my Warthunder A6M5 music playlist. As another commenter said, a good calm before the storm theme
You are by now tired of the endless swarms of youkai at your shrine. That reason has now brought you here to Mugenkan. You have seen the girl before, but now naptime is over. and this was a real battle.
This theme sounds like a nice dream is coming to an end. Back to reality for Reimu or Marisa
S u n f l o w e r
Listening to it you wouldn't really think it would fit a final stage, but somehow it manages to...
Meta knight tries to take over Dream Land but yuuka strangles him
Very good and EMOTIONAL theme ! yesssss !! Better than the previous 3 by a bit, and is on par with Alice Maestra and Maiden's Capriccio :)
Well.. I can think of one reason, one being Yuyuko's needing to lecture youmu on the nature of the Hakurouken, though Eiki ends up giving it to youmu anyway.... I'd suppose it's simply the uncomfortability of always being spoken to in such a direct manner.
Dream Land? Like, KIRBY Dream Land?
Emerald Kyurem YESSSS!!!
bouteille d'eau 1 I know that was an old comment...
+Emerald Kyurem Yes.
You could interpret it as not meant to be a fighting contest, but that is one interpretation. Do note that this is set during an incident, you know, when a Touhou's first reaction is shoot first, talk later.

Classic
Yukari:-sees description-...that's okay at least the wiki's support me being the strongest.
God I love PC98’s hi-hat
well... Yukari running from Eiki seems to be something that isn't meant as in strength. It could possibly be that Yukari, for all her double-speak and secrecy, would be pointless to argue with Eiki, who always speaks correct truths.
Yuuka FTW
This rip needs more Kirby
Really good
We have
Dream land Touhou
Dream land Kirby
Dream man
Dream speedrun
the true dream team
Mr. Dream
this theme is so relaxing and happy makes me wanna cry tbh (╥_╥)
Beginning IMMEDIATELY reminded me of Shikieiki theme

ZUN's comment about the track:

Well, in any case, is it, I wonder?
Kind of. Uja~"
something something kirby
Yukari is strongest, bar none! Fight me!!
kinda sounds like alice maestra to me somewhat i get vibes of it
jesse robertson well both themes have a very nostalgic feel.
True. It also makes me wonder what Aya meant in the final scene of StB. Did she imply that Suika is the most powerful youkai or that oni in general is the most powerful group?

beating up eiki and using 2 master spark at once lol
I can hear Bad Apple at 0:14 lol
Or maybe it's the reverse, since this theme is more "important"
I heared it too!
Really? I thought Suika would fit the bill more if we are talking about youkai. Yuuka, at least, challenged Eiki for the strongest in Gensokyo title, unlike Yukari, who just ran.
I prefer this as a song to Border Land, but I think Border Land would have fit better for the stage...
yuka is a kirby fan i see
Kirby: Cosmic Chaos anyone?
The background looks like Kansas
+SN Reza *The background looks like Kansas back then and in it's promotional posters, but it looks nothing like how it looks now.
I live in Kansas. I haven't seen a sunflower in sight.
+Bubble Kirby LXXVII Me either, maybe sunflowers don't grow in Kansas
Yuuka has two themes, yuyuko and okina too
Welp in this game actually Yuuka did has two themes, and now Yuuka hast three themes. That is PoFV one!
@@Syindomex She has 4. The 4th one is from Seihou
Doesn't Marisa have, like, 6 themes?
To be fair... it's not like LLS S6 is long.
The Gensokyo the Gods Loved anyone?
Me. But somehow also reminds me of Onbashira Grave being
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Hey
Kirby xd.
