I unironically moved to a different role because mid-late game macro on this role is soo hard to balance lol. Always questioning if it's my fault if my laner dies in the side while simultaneously trying to balance keeping up your CS in the right situations takes a toll and needs so much experience to shore up.
One of the things I really appreciate is you call your mistakes like it is - and don't blame the enemy team. Makes it a lot easier to learn from you the rest of the time when we know we can trust you. :3
This is one of the most helpful videos I’ve watched in a long time tbh. Thank you for explaining and demonstrating tempo. Especially in a high elo game
I haven't played lol since the vanguard bs, but I'm using your advices to climb on wild rift and I reached emerald as a jungler for the first time today. thank you very much =)
Your content is amazing! I'm so glad i found you before the rest of the world. People don't explain how to be good at this role like you do. Thanks a million!
His Raptors and Krugs were spawning, and he assumed the enemy jungler was there based on tempo. There were two possibilities: either he went top or continued farming his bot side. When he threw his Q, the jungle item effect didn’t trigger the jungle pet didn’t jump onto the camp, that means he finished the camp and is still there hovering botlane or he is doing it
In a nutshell, Tempo is time, its the time you have to freely make plays or do extra stuff … imagine the map is a beach, minnions are waves, and jungle camps are food, you eat all the food as a jungler, to be able to go and relax on the beach while your team mates manage waves to give you prio by pushing their waves to the other half of the map and so on and so forth… its the extra time you have … There… you are welcome …
Wow this video is soooooo helpful!!! Please make more videos about tempo in the jungle, it helped me climb from plat 4 elo hell to emerald. Thank you thank you thank you :)
this video actually made me realize that i often do mistakes because i feel so powerful in some cases that i loose discipline and just kill myself trying to get a play
great video!!!! I watched the other one you made but now watching this I realize I have misunderstood it and have been just farming like a robot the whole game 😂
Awesome videos man. Been watching your videos. I’m a Viego/Graves main, and they’ve been really helpful. Trying to climb out of low emerald, hopefully I can apply some of your logic into my games
Great video, one question, every other jgler says recurve bow is a better buy because attack speed helps clear camps and viego doesnt scale with ad as well as other champs, is thrte any reason to pick rush on first back?
People do over complicate it. These are the basic fundamentals. Doing all the other stuff is only necessary sometimes. Things like accelerated jungling for example, Very niche use cases and barely ever apply to low elo. You just start with this, and slowly overtime you will see other garenteed plays that you can take advantage of while keeping your tempo.
Perry after I do full clear plus bot crap, should I go recall, clear my spawning camps and potentially lose drake, or should I gank bot, create pio take drake, back and clear, or should I back don’t clear gank bot and take drake
If you do your camps on spawn u can also be at First Drake at spawn. If you can kill bot before Drake then gank. Dont do Drake After when you and ally bot are low. Reset first bc u just spend ur tempo There is no game plan which you should follow every game tho. Read the game state and evaluate what is your best option. But generally focus on farming :)
One thing that unfortunately happens in low elo or even mid elo I should say, so emerald to diamond, when a lane does bad in the laning phase and they spam ping you to help them, and you dont, cause your plan is, doing other things with the teammates that give you a better chance overall to win the game, often times they just give up the game, give up farming, even inting on purpose because you didnt help them. So the concept behind every one of your thought process is good, but unfortunately they dont understand and its just unwinnable at that point.
Perry great video, It does feel like tempo is one of the hardest concepts to actually implement to my games, or rather, how to best utilize the tempo advantage, many times I get 2 levels on my oponent, but I dont capitalize on it correctly. I'd like to ask you what was your rank before you commited fully to become a pro?
I don't think saying that the tempo rule was broken on that dragon sequence is the best way of interpreting this. I see it as you spending the extra tempo you've been acumulating through out the game in an investment on drangon pit control. notice I said investment because you spent the tempo but if you actually get the dragon you will get that tempo back and a plus. I this a valid interpretation?
getting the flash of the enemy makes them more vulnerable to being punished in the long run. so in the context as a jungler, you can more confidently gank a lane you are pathing to when their flash is down.
giving up grubes for tempo aounds crazy to me... obviously not if you don't have priority .. but if you can take grubes i feel like you should... not to mention you should be finishing your 2nd clear right before they spawn.
I watch all your videos for quite a long time now and it's helped get this recent league player to be quite good at jungle, my first and main role. I'm powering through ranks, just hit silver with no issue, I have friends much higher rank than that I am keeping up with in flex games, your guides and insights have been fundamental to getting me here. My question is about what about scenarios where you need to reset tempo, like your predicted top/bot lane winner you play off of starts getting bullied (simultaneous mid roam+ jng ganks while you're gone), what would you do? These aren't ever game losing scenarios for me, but definitely make it games much harder. I usually end up messing up tempo by going for an individual countergank, maybe an invade or camping a lane or getting them prio for an Obj, then reset to reverse my clear. I don't recall if you've made a vid or comment on this scenario, so I hope maybe it pops up in a video sometime!
you full cleared twice and got lvl 6, without takedowns or crab, what? since when has jungle been giving so much xp, i thought you needed two clears and a grub to reach 6
Yo, awesome video. Most people have troubles with mid-late game decisions. Can you dedicate a video on mid-late game jungle video? Thanks
I second this.
I third this
I fourth

@@Freakattakerplay for your self, maintain at least a 8-9cs per minute and objective control

That Lee Sin fell behind tempo. How to recover it? He was a prime example at what not to do to recover...
At 4:55 how do you know Lee is there from your Q over the wall at krugs?
His Raptors and Krugs were spawning, and he assumed the enemy jungler was there based on tempo. There were two possibilities: either he went top or continued farming his bot side. Hey Perry,
Plz tell Lud to learn an AD jungler so he can adapt to his team comp and also just have another choice in draft
Beautiful carry!
Hey Perry, LOVE all the content you provide. Do you have any content for JG play in a comp 5v5 environment?
this video actually made me realize that i often do mistakes because i feel so powerful in some cases that i loose discipline and just kill myself trying to get a play

Bro maining whatever is op
@ what can I say I have fun when I’m winning
This video is so useful for me ❤
I remember you used to say always go Green Jungle items as Veigo, does Blue jungle item better now or it's just this game?
Great video, one question, every other jgler says recurve bow is a better buy because attack speed helps clear camps and viego doesnt scale with ad as well as other champs, is thrte any reason to pick rush on first back?
Finally some high elo tryhard content ❤ would love to see a push for challenger or Rank 1 again sometime
Its crazy how simple you make the game. I feel people over complicate it. Thanks Perry!

@perry in lower elos, silver bronze, are you still using the tempo primarily for farming camps, or maybe more often using it to pressure or kill lanes

hey do you mind showing how u auto so its faster? i feel like my autos are super slow until im lvl 9
perry how many houses do you have? every vid is a new background angle and everything else
Will you do a lee sin video?
is "getting flash" a good play? a lot of times I know I'll get flash but might not get the kill

Bork build is the best build when there are at least 2 tanks in the game, thats my opinion
