- I've been waiting anxiously for the latest changes to Slayer Artifact Set in Raid to be released so that I could finally complete and release the full set breakdown. It has a unique mechanic of repeating the damage for an area of effect ability but the numbers it is producing doesn't make sense. Well after more buffs in Update 8.60 - it turns out it is still not working as intended. Let's check it out....

It sounds like it might be calculating the damage without the added "Ignore 30% of enemy DEF" from the slayer set itself.
I'll also put my bet behind This, the proc won't count as AoE dmg
@@Long-Long-KanjiMan we tested alot during stream, we tried removing ignore defs, weaken masteries and so on and so on, diff variations but never got the same numbers, close, but never the same :(
@@PioPicoGaming I see, well that's unfortunate, hope they will figure it out one day.
@@Long-Long-KanjiManin the code itself is stated that they slayer damage ignores 100% of the defense. So there should not be any damage reduction based on the defense of the enemy.
Maybe it's not factoring in Marius' defense multiplier, only then enemy max HP?
Plarium should just employ this guy on 7 figures to make sure their game works properly. But I'd prefer it if he stayed with fateless and made that the best game we've ever played.
7 figures for something that has no revenue impact? Never gonna happen.
Instead they won't even let him in the test server. Someone that could tell them what they've fucked up, they won't let him in
@@nerfmepls1 Plarium test server is a marketing tool, not a testing tool. It exists for early access to content for people who generate viewership. Has nothing to do with quality control.
When Rathalos procs his AoE A2 and 9 piece procs with a boss on fire it is a thing of beauty. I've seen IT lose like 80% HP on a single hit.
They have changed the description of the 9 piece bonus its now says " chance to deal additional damage based on the aoe damage dealt. Thats new. 😳
@saph regardless of the damage, when the slayer set procs the 2nd hit, does it apply the debuff / activations of the skill? example, using when using Zavia's A2. she has a triple hit AOE A2 with poison. If slayer procs, does it now have 6 chances to apply the poisons?
Well, If you can't work out what's wrong, then how on Earth are the devs at Paylarium going to? This year you say. I say lucky to be this decade lol
Truly sounds powerful enough just rewrite the words on the 6 piece set to fit what it's doing and be done with it

I have 9 piece slayer on my Taras and I never see the extra hit go off
even what liitle you could tell us has helped me a bunch, I put mezomel in 6 pc slayer/2pc impulse because im book poor so ill hold off trying her in 9pc
Does this set do anything for seigfrunds a3 aoe hit after killing a target..?
maybe im wrong but at 2:24 i see the 160k in red twice and the 294 in yellow twice. the double 294k is almost stacked on top of one another and the 160k is at the start and end of the hit.
294k hit are the 3 hits from his Max hp skill, 160k is from proccing slayer set 2x that time (lucky since its 30% chance to procc)
Have you tried with anyone else? Could be that Marius' damage is scaled with def and max hp
could only be proccing the max hp "half" of the 2
Hey Saph. Maybe you could also check out the 4 piece bonus on the Merciless set as it seems bugged to me. I have it on my Wixwell and it NEVER procs when he does damage from counterattack, even though it says "when dealing damage". So it should proc from a counterattack right?
That thing never proc on counterattack... only on champion's turn when dealing damage, not the counterattack damage tho
Yeah it did work at one point and it was hilariously overpowered lol. Valkyrie+ally attackers. 0 cooldowns lol. They fixed it like 2 weeks after it came out.@@cjhaedaten8711

This is why I don't advocate any nerfs at all. Plarium is quick to nerf and extremely slow to fix anything.
The bigger question is will plarium ever test their own game properly?
The repeat damage is repeated as a normal hit. It can not be critical.
It's noted in basic gear guide

I used it on my hydra run today and not once did I see it proc the double damage
Only works if its multi hits to have multiple proccs :S, Marius a2 is a 3 hiter aoe, hence it can do 3 extra hits, What champ did you use your 9x set on?

I feel like they should reword the skill description. I always read it and thought it as the repeating the entire skill not on each hit. Repeats the attack so whether it’s a 1, 2, or 3 hitter, it will repeat the skill entirely and not a 30% chance to proc on each hit and only repeats that hit. Should at least say, “30% chance to repeat damage on aoe hits.” Instead of “skills”

I agree, beat him last time, can't get it to work this time. When he goes back to first form, it's very random which skill he will use first. But he has not cut in on me in dozens of runs. I would guess you missed a mastery or equipment skill cooldown proc somewheres on a champ
Do you have cycle of magic on your champs or any other reduce cooldown gear on your champs. That is what triggers the cut in in my runs.
@@SaphonDamoclesdidn’t try it this rotation, but if the boss doesn’t have any debuffs that he can transform like Hp Burn and poison he always used his A2. As soon as he had some debuffs to switch into buffs he used his A3.
Don’t know if it is this the same as this rotation because I still need to try it myself.
@zottelinho8957 it felt hot and miss. Only debuffs I had up at the time were heal reduction(always) and sometimes Burn. Most of the time he would use a2, but sometimes he'd choose a3. It felt more like it had to do with the number of buffs I had, which makes no sense. It's tough to know when to put up block debuffs but knowing which he'll choose
@@SaphonDamocles maybe it is about the duration of these debuffs? With heal reduction and Hp burn you probably want him to use the A2 first.
I agree with you that your buff count shouldn’t matter for his choice because it doesn’t matter to his skills as you said.

Urogrim already gives out higher version of poisons so I don’t think it would work. My understanding is it works with someone with a weaker version. Eg Bellower with small version of decrease defense will instead be a bigger version if procs.

@@bytemevv-4616 That's good to know now I will be staying away from using that blessing. Because it doesn't clearly state any debuff stipulations only the example which is a reference. The wording, "Greater version of this debuff" was also my interpretation could be any debuff to be paired with that blessing. Also does not apply to debuffs from gear sets. It's just another way for us to use up our gems.
I don’t know how many people are reading it wrong. For me it always affected just weaker debuffs. Because we have weaker and greater versions of Debuffs.
I want my money back, this set has been a scam for months. There's no way to complete 9 pieces and if you miraculously do, it doesn't work properly. Just a straight up con.
The biggest disappointment of Slayer gear is the accessories are faction locked. That combined with all the random RNG rolls is a MASSIVE greed rip off
I only got like 2-3 useable gear pieces with a gold pass. 100% not worth it.
