Usually it bothers me but so many people have made so many bad remakes of that song that I got used to it. I'm actually thrilled someone made a good (incredible actually) remake of Blue and I can't get it out of my head.
It's actually an official cover, but it was rewritten in cooperation with the original creators and really...the only thing that is still the same is the melody. It was certainly turned into a song that fits the time really well.
Love this song, and the I'm Blue song lol, but as much as I'm liking this song it kinda makes me feel sad. Or maybe melancholy is a better word for it.
This is like a new movie in an old franchise but it's actually good. The way I see it, the fact that they took an existing and very popular song and gave it a new twist is pretty cool. Any legal issue with doing that concerns only the authors of both works and relevant authorities, the rest of us should just enjoy the music.

Sometimes things can be quite complicated...for example, you can fuck up relation between girl and you that's perfect and you're still not feeling like you should give up.
