Our transit through Russia: almost smoothly to Kazakhstan

137 days of van life: back in Kazbegi / Stepanzminda we set off for transit through Russia. We will show you the approach through the Russian border tunnel and tell you about our experiences at the border crossing between Georgia and Russia. Our route runs straight through Dagestan and Chechnya before entering Kazakhstan.
Come with us on our first experiences in this country with its friendly people. In the hot, wide steppe we meet camels and dromedaries and find beautiful pitches, almost small oases.
We are Petra and Christoph and we are on the road for a year with our Pössl 2Win R van. Our journey takes us east across the Balkans, through the Caucasus and the Central Asian states Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan along the Silk Road. Every Sunday we report from our Van Life.
