very good video. i never had a 7m carb on any of my engines. i have the older, fsr 61, 90, 108, which all used 7D carbs. the 61 had an insert, 90 and 108 didnt. if you take them apart, i may have the o rings if any get damaged.

Being able to see inside would be nice.

Understood, but you get what you get. Unfortunately my table lighting does not shine down directly from above. They illuminate the table area just fine but not so good for looking straight down into holes.

Recently i changed bearings on a 61 Hanno special and it uses a 6P carb, i never had a 7M carb on my hands, i think 7M Is designed for tuned pipe using exhaust pressure to help feed fuel; of course the resonance in tuned pipe changes with RPM causing changes in pressure feedback from exhaust making mid range adjustment mix necesary only for tuned pipes, if you use normal exhaust the mid range mix practically remains the same adjustment, i think maybe, just maybe the 7M carb is a transition between 7L and 6P carb that was feed by a pump. Really interesting pair of carbs

I explain all of that well into the video. Yes the 7M is specifically designed for FAI and F3A competition.
