Im 62 years old and recently read Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices and loved them. Never too old for a YA fantasy lol. I totally recommend xx
@@katiewitrukI started reading it in chronological order: Infernal Devices first (Clockwork Angel 1, Clockwork Prince 2, Clockwork Princess 3), after that comes The Last Hours Trilogy (Chain of Gold, Chain of Thorns, Chain of Iron), and so on… But there’s other ways to read them. I like chronological and also those 6 have the prettiest covers 😅. If you’re liking the Gothic vibe, I highly suggest Nocticadia by Kari Lake. It’s not scary, but very atmospheric and addictive, dark academia with plot twists, hot romance… and Dr. Death? Swoon!
Belladonna is so good! It’s a fun YA fantasy, romance, mystery. I think you’d really like it. I’ve read the first two and loved them. I can’t wait to read the third one soon. I wish you would have gotten the hardcover of belladonna because if you look at a picture of it without the dust jacket it’s really stunning and so pretty.
The Great Alone is so good! Kristin Hannah can pull you into that world so easily! I hope you get to read and enjoy it as much as I did. I will never not read one of her books!
The audio in this sounds so good!! I have been eyeing those mics as well and I feel like this video showing up in my recommendations was a sign👀 Also, literally nothings as awkward as filming in front of other people
Omg when you picked up the treatment I screamed! The first book is called the program and I was obsessed with the series in high school and I have literally never heard anyone talk about them!
Omg you came across the program series by Suzanne young!!!! I never hear anyone talk about them lol. The treatment is the second book I think. The first book, the program, was incredible.
From someone who has read Lore Olympus start to finish: started out as a webtoon and gained enormous popularity. It is a different take on Hades and Persephone and all of the Greek gods. It has not only been one of my favorite webtoons but also one of my favorite graphic novels of all time. As far as I know, they are still writing the series on webtoon, they are just converting them into books now for people who have had great success with their stories. There are four atm, I do think they plan on making more.
🏖️ love watching u and luke! also i saw ur update on goodreads for the prison healer, are we getting any thoughts on vlog or wrap up, because this was definitely one of my top series of the year
🏖️ I have read the Mistborn trilogy and the second trilogy, Tress of the Emerald seas a stand-alone and am currently reading the Stormlight archive series which is the way of the kings series. I do recommend reading the Mistborn trilogy first and then the second era Mistborn trilogy. I also recommend reading all the novellas in between becuse it gives more context into the Cosmere. Or if you don’t want a series you can start with Tress of the Emerald sea as well. It’s a fun cozy stand alone set in the Cosmere. Also none of his YA stuff is in the Cosmere.
Congratulations on surviving the wedding planning and the wedding nerves! Just be lucky you did not have to go across states in a week to celebrate your wedding. Haha, I did and I was exhausted but it was so worth it and technically married my significant other twice. Yay, a good book haul!! Love it and so worth it. Happy reading!🏖
I really like the Belladonna trilogy! But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the last one, but I think it was mainly because the first two had a strong mystery plot (it felt like there was an equal amount of mystery, romance, and gothic fantasy, so it feels wrong to say any of those were side plots) but the last one didn’t really have any mystery, because the mystery was being solved by someone else and was pretty quickly solved and it felt rushed. So the last one is definitely more romance heavy, which I’m not a big fan of.
