다시피 and 다시피 하다 are important intermediate grammar forms. 다시피 is commonly used with verbs such as 보다 (보다시피 or 보시다시피) or 듣다 (들었다시피 and others). 다시피 하다 however is used to say “almost” or “nearly” doing something. This grammar lesson also contrasts 다시피 하다 with the 뻔하다 grammar form, which also means “almost” or “nearly” doing something.

As always, an amazing lesson! Whenever I think I've hit an intermediate status, I find new grammar particles I haven't heard before (but that's awesome because then I learn something new!). Thanks so much for all you do!
Well you can be an intermediate learner while still learning intermediate grammar :) Once you've finished learning all of the intermediate grammar you'd be advanced.
빌리 샘도 아시다시피 코로나 바이러스 때문에 미국은 거의 집에만 있다시피 해요... 밖에 나가고 싶어요. 😭 I love the into and ending skits by the way! 천재났네 천재났어 😂
Very interesting. I'm wondering how you would say, "As you will see...." as in As you will see, the video you are about to watch explains a very useful concept." Wouldn't that be using future tense?
빌리 선생님, 감사합니다!
very good lesson
감사합니다
UA-cam가 나에게 알리지 않아서 이 비디오를 잃어버릴 뻔 했어요 😓,
당신 덕분에 이제 거의 나만의 문장을 만들다시피 하고. 😊
빌리의 책이 좋다
안녕하세요 빌리
I wanna practice my Korean (in writing) but I can't remember

You said in a video that you can practice your Korean chatting with NATIVE KOREANS
I made a video about apps here: ua-cam.com/video/exIQl3vTEXw/v-deo.html
@@GoBillyKorean okay thank you
Chapter no 14 을 ,ㄹ 뻔하다 & 거의
일찍 왔어요 !!!!
지금 하시다시피 우리를 항상 이렇게 가르치셨으면 좋겠습니다
Please correct me if I am wrong
안녕하세요 선생님! 이 영상을 잘 밨는데 질문 하나 있어요. I am comfortable using 거의 so I understand that it has a similar meaning to almost, however, I do not understand why it is used in the same sentence with 있다시피. Why can't I omit 거의 and just write "요즘 비가 너무 많이 와서 집에만 있다시피 하고 있어요"?
It can be (and is often) added for emphasis.
Learn Korean with GO! Billy Korean 설명해주셔서 감사합니다
이거 한국인들도 제대로 알지 못하는 경우 많아요.. '~다시피'를 '~다싶이' 이로 잘못 알고 쓰는 경우가 다반사...
And how about "He should be arriving home as we talk"? Would you use 다시피 here too?
@@otherworldRestaurant - all i see is Ja Yu in your name, which reminds me of a bar we have in Palisades Park, NJ that I like (Ja Yu In) - random observation I had to share haha. (Interestingly, it's not called "Freedom Bar" in English - but still advertised as Ja Yu In)
Why do some words are like this 먹지 or 않는 i don't know why they put these
That's just the negative form. I did a live stream about that here: ua-cam.com/video/fxMaKT8LKsg/v-deo.html
