That rare wii with the black washed out screen is a capacitor issue, You need to replace the exploded capacitors/screen filters inside and it will work. Worst case scenario you gotta remove the chip from a less profitable wii and put it in that one

this litterally was my wii and thats pretty much exactly what happened. i noticed it was gone awhile ago... i had like 20 broken wiis and istg i checked them all for disks but this is indeed my wii, the faint bit of home screen i can see proves it. this specific wii i leant to my grandma and i have no clue what she did to it. sadly that copy had a bit of sentimental value since it was my first game i played EVER, but i donated it quite awhile ago and have come to terms with the loss. i definately will remember to be more diligent in the future. i still have the box on my shelf as a reminder. if the person who bought the game happens to be reading this, i would be willing to pay double whatever you bought it for, due to the sentimental value.
edit: no these consoles where not donated together as i have never owned a naruto game, nor WANTED to

I've seen both the blacked out screen and washed out white screen a few times and there's a couple of repairs you can try. Since you've covered the cable and settings you're going to have to look inside at the AV board area. It might be a capacitor for either issue. So if you see one bloated with it's guts leaking out then that's obvious. But it could also be the chip itself that fried.
One other thing to try first is to clean the av socket really good with iso alcohol and blow the wii out really well. You'll be amazed what a stray pet hair or build up will cause to happen. Hopefully the cleaning works and it's not more invasive.
If it's the chip then you're better off just Frankensteining a wii out of the one with data and possibly another with other issues and putting a whole one together while the other becomes spare parts.

8:05 - Nice blown caps, it was worth it just because the Wii works and the fix it’s not that expensive + the game inside is pretty nice and haves i nice value (honestly I would just keep it as it would be pretty nice to have one of those on your game collection)
EDIT: I might be late and maybe you already know this but capacitors have two ways of getting worn out:
A: The capacitors start to lose the capacity of storing voltage so their max voltage will be lower than what the console needs as they are starting to “leak current” acting themselves like a resistor wich will discharge themselves and sometimes the rest of caps (you might have to check the board in case anything shorted out the power lines and made the capacitors start to discharge too quick making them to wear down)
B: The capacitors start to gain more capacity than they should, they can sometimes get “fat” on the inside wich is a risk of them exploding, as the Wii doesn’t use the typical cylinder caps if it does so you’ll hear nothing (on other consoles like the Xbox 360, if a cap blows up it will make a sound simillar to a small firecracker), if a capacitor blows up while the Wii being plugged in you might see the screen suddenly go dimmer
You will have these symptoms if the caps are bad:
When the case it’s A these can be the symptoms:
If the screen it’s dimmer than usual, let’s say whites are gray, the capacitors max voltage it’s less than 95-100%, if they are dark gray then its max voltage it’s less than 45% and if it’s almost pitch black they have a pretty low capacity (less than 20%) or they are straight dead.
If the caps are like this you will see the screen being darker than usual or pitch black (depends of how bad they are) and as the console is on they will be forced to charge the longer the console is on, so you will see the screen get brighter till it’s almost normal or playable.
But when the case it’s B you are gonna have this only thing going on which is the screen being too bright or getting brighter the longer the console is on (the console only outputs the correct voltage but will overcharge up the caps with current fluctuations) Hope you can fix more consoles with this knowledge!

The Wii with the AV problem is an issue that's popping up more and more each day.
Its caused by the capacitors by the AV output.
Crazy to think though that Wii's are being plagued with capacitor issues at the AV output level while Wii U's are having issues with the NAND chips corrupting themselves and leading to unbootable consoles.

Clash of Ninja 2 is a certified Gamecube classic! I actually have it on my Steam Deck, don't play it much outside of a trip down nostalgia lane but man that game was my childhood.

17:00 remember it was a crime to not have a mic, and most couldnt find a party that was willing to have them without one. Save for the few patient ones who would speak and then got a reply via message. TODAY mics are built in and they pretend there is no mic.....

I believe the issue with the Wii is the capacitors I can’t remember if it was by Matt KC but I’ve seen an issue similar to that but I believe it’s capacitor related. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
