Personally I think the chattering teeth sound effect and the record scratch kind of kills the grim mood. Don’t get it wrong they’re good sound effects for comedic moments, but when somethings meant to be taken seriously they kind of take you out of the moment. Most notably the metal gear alert sound effect kind of messed with the reveal of the half engine in my opinion. It made it come across as comical rather than terrifying. Overall though, it’s a pretty decent remake. Edit: Just making sure, what is the original writer of the story credited? I couldn’t find anything about Narrow Gauge in the description Edit 2: Never mind I was unaware that the story was created by NCOPictures

This was a rather interesting adaptation! Though, I do feel like the sound for when the Half Engines face was revealed when she charges at Gordon kinda ruins the scare bit. Just my opinion though.
