Man, i remember some of your stuff like "smash & microwave PSP" from back in the good ol days, love to see your content consistently getting higher and higher quality each video, hope to see you reach 100k some day.
I'm liking the mixture of information and destruction. Your production value has gone up significantly since I started watching years ago. Keep up the good work
Been watching for 17 years, love the content as I did grow up watching you

I love the intro!!!
Nice new outro! :)
Nice video!
Ha! The midranges looked like they had way better linear bass response than the woofers lol
Ooooo *50k congrats! :dDd*
At 2:42 , the german Siri say hey 😂
That intro though!!
Yeassssss a intro. That’s not cringe. Your the best
i had a set of those and i liked how they sounded wasn't bad at all
Judging through your camera audio and my headphones, they don't sound as bad as I expected. Also though, 5th gear ❤️
The intro is EPIC!11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!121!!!
Which brand is your measuring tape? Looks to be a good one!
iv been waching these vids since I was 6
Cool intro!
Intro song blew my speakers.
Hey Garret!! Nice intro! 😎😎😎 #GarretClaridge #NiceIntro #RCA #BlowingSpeakers #2000sAudio
Any speaker brands you recommend?
4:28 HAHA Sooper Wewfer
My favorite video!!
epic intro! :D those ugly things needed a good blow/smash.. had a pair of aiwas that had the same idea of bi-amp but those where a lot better built and sounded quite good even without there stereo..had 8" subs and 4" mids and 2 tweeters. waiting for that crypto home theater sub crap to be blown next :D
5:39 Aah!, You booped us 😳
damn that last sub really pushed it and made a ton of smoke
intro is killer
Good you have 50K Subscribers
*Hoping:* Audio test before they get damage.
Garret agrees!
*Reality:* Damage first then audio test.
That early 2000's look you can blame on the new computer CAD software that allowed curves etc to be easily designed. The beautiful crisp edges of the 80's were no longer to be.
They should have focused on optimizing that little Kevlar driver and adding a real tweeter vs that phony subwoofer crap.
early 2000s forever!!
80s were ugly
Tbh I’d love to see you blow out a JBL “Boombox”. A Bi-amped/Bi-wired setup could be used for a PA system with 2 separate amps. 1 for music and one for the mic.
they made a lot of noise good you got so much more speakers to blow out.
You should do a video on the Dell AC511 USB Wired SoundBar
from where do you get all the speakers??
I actually dig the music sounds good
nice songs
I’m just like you I love Electronics and finding out what’s inside of them LOL
Song for 2nd set of speakers?
nice intro! :)
Good Intro Dude
Blow it up!💨💨💨🔥🔥🔥
What does poking the middle of the speaker do?
hammertime!
Have you ever blew up jvc giga tube speakers or the tower of power speakers
cool intro
OMG THE INTRO MUSIC NOSTALGIA
Do you have old sub amps I could have?
omg best speakers ever! look at that shiny plastic
I have not watch you in years like dam what you up to bud
Someone told me many years ago of 'speaker phooming' which I think involved propane in the speaker cab, but I've never seen it done. Wouldn't need propane, even alcohol would work. The context was something like "when you want to stop very loud music", so I'm guessing it's been done to good speakers :-/
I used to have the 2531s but I smashed them and made a passive radiator out of one of the subs
I think those 4.5s could be 1 to 1 with the 4.5s I have in my rca speakers. Picked them up at a garage sale. I got mildly impressed with the mid-range fidelity, needs a crossover and tweeters "they had fake tweeters hidden behind grills.."
I've temporarily set up a bookshelf setup with them up there and actually with the dynamics of the room.. audible down to 28Hz, fundamental starta at 48Hz. I gotta say they aren't bad. Currently being severely underpowered by a cheap cd player, to preserve them I might at most put up to 10watts on them if I use a Bluetooth receiver I've got. Issues that my Panasonic 4.5s are a little mid heavy if they take over.
A future pet project day dream would be making balanced monitors using these as mid basses
Childhood ruined memories ruined Hotel Trivago
I used to like these I grew up with a similar system and the funny thing that the brand wasn't RCA it was Thomson model number a 3800
Do I still like them ? not anymore
cool story
@Garret Do you ever use the speaker boxes as fuel for the wood stove?
all the time haha ruined a stove it burns so hot
@@GarretClaridgeMeerkat Probably all of the speakers' souls escaping lol
Cool
This intro looks better than the original use this in all your videos
0:44 and your cat which is very cute :D
Which song is at 12:42?
Thats a better intro, needs more Cats
I agree
hello what are thos called that garret uses the clips that hook to the speakers i need some of thos
Alligator clips!
If anything the scars make these speakers more attractive, right? It's like they've aged gracefully, all of a sudden.
What camera gear do you use?
canon vixia camcorders, r800 and r100 i think i used in this video i have a collection of them for multicam projects
It may be considered ugly now because the vibe has changed.
Great close up shots of the pooked speakers-the last one sure made the pooking sound before the smoke came out!REMEMBER with ANY electrical or electronic component-when the smoke comes out the component works no more!!!!Loved how a generic poker was hidden behind that bass "port"!!!!Real Cheap Apparatus strikes again!!!or Real CRAPPY apparatus in this case.SAD RCA USED to make some nice electronics!!!
Intro music?
do they sound great though i mean the bass sounds little underpowered
Film this when lights are turned off. I am sure that these speakers would also give us a light show before dying. It might be too minor as if now so it isn't showing up in a well lit room.
You fear the piezo tweeter!
haha they funk amps up
Niiiiceeee
I hate non removable covers. I mean, they serve their purpose, but when the drivers get full of dust and other shit, it’s kinda annoying when you can’t pull off the covers and clean them. Usually if I ever get anything with non removable covers, I just rip them off lol
i challenge you to collect all the speakers you can and build the ultimate tower speakers with just cheap old speakers.
Those speakers have the subwoofer in a fourth order enclosure sealed in the back Ported in the front 🔊🔊🔊🔊
Ah yes, the classic 3D pipes
High quality piezo tweeter
Splendid I do speaker blowout too
0:00 The Realistic Optimus 1s!!
I have a lot of trash cheap hifi speakers when i was a kid then I blew all of em for my birthday party!
they sounded ok
Hey grown up garret can we get a freaking bluetooth speaker special for memorial Day
Bad parts age 1999 to 2007 good video
