Considering how there have been a few fan projects of this game series recently, I'm sure there will be new as well as recurring characters, including Sarge, Riff, Shrapnel, Hoover, Vicki, and a few other memorable characters at some point. And if it does well enough, we will likely see an anime at some point.
With the new systems coming out this series could get a good reboot and you could make your own pilot and color them your own way and make your own chopper plus with multiplayer making a house into a battleground would work well I really like this series and I hope to see it come back to the systems soon
This might sound crazy but with the new computer graphics today this game should get a reboot and forget just fighting the tan army throw other colors in the mix not just green vs yellow I liked this game for all of the cool battles around the house that comes straight from anyone's imagination
I would love to see a three or four way war to tell you the truth. The Green and Reds vs the Blue and Tans with the Grey's just waiting on the sidelines ready to strike.
the other colors do get story explanation throughout the PC games. The blues working as neutral spy agency, the Greys already losing their battle with the tan right before the green nation gets involved. The Alien factions from Toys in Space. I would love to see that kind of world building implemented in a next gen army man entry, there is a rich soil for lore to be planted and built upon.
They really need to bring this game and series back it would be good for the next get systems and with DLC we can get more real world choppers and maybe some TV and movie ones like air wolf I miss imgantive games from our younger days like this one and more stages
me gustó el diseño del Baron von beige, ojalá hubiera aparecido en otros videojuegos, tal vez tendría un avión más moderno y con su propio equipo de pilotos. Los soldados amarrillos merecen mas aprecio
Fokker Dr1 historically was an Agile SOB. It's downside historically and why it fell out of favor was it was very hard to fly so it was often restricted to experience/elite squadrons on top of that it's top speed wasn't that great either. Ironically the top speed of an Apache is nearly identical to the top Speed of the Fokker Dr1. In this respect, an airplane holds a lot of advantages over a Helicopter, while a Helicopter holds advantages over and airplane. If I had to bet money, if the Dr1 was anywhere above an Apache prior to the engagement, I think it would of had a good chance of winning even vs such a modern helicopter. Being a Dr1 had a considerably higher flight ceiling, it's very plausible. Helicopters are not meant, even combat ones to take on airplanes of really any kind.
@@Cosmoandtherobins Well some Helicopters are equipped with defensive measures including air to air missiles, their primary role is still Close Air Support. So view them as a substitute for a Ju87 Stuka. Downside today is they're also very high maintenance, main reason most air forces today are looking for cheap alternatives for close air support roles. Helicopters were a great idea for a flying anti tank platform but they're not as good as a A-10A, they're even worse than a slow flying jet and airplane at the CAS role in dusty desert environments. Maintenance again being the primary reason. If even a tiny thing goes wrong with a Helicopter it's going to crash, and they crash hard when compared to a plane or jet. Meaning they're also far less safe than a jet or prop plane.
@@Alte.Kameraden I have very little technical knowledge about any of this. was sorta figuring that some Bi-planes might have tighter maneuverability than a Jet, so it could fly circles around a Helicopter pretty easily.
@@Cosmoandtherobins Helicopter has near zero turn however. So a Helicopter can track a airplane if it's doing a turn fight by just rotating. If they have air to air missiles Helicopters can also be effective against low flying aircraft that are 'faster' than they are. But as I said, in a situation in which a plane has an altitude advantage, honestly, I think even a WWI biplane could be a threat even to an Apache. Being a Dr1 in particular has a similar airspeed to an Apache, but would easily be able to out climb an Apache while also having a higher flight ceiling than an Apache. Also a Dr1 can also do loops, while being slow enough it can actually stay above an Apache which wouldn't help even if it had air to air missiles. So saying that, a Dr1 would definitely still be a major threat to a modern attack helicopter, definitely being it's a machine in which the pilot is trained to spot aircraft by 'eye' instead of equipment, being obsolete wouldn't restrict it's ability to find a target below it. Reason such aircraft are not used today is because well, they would be worthless at most everything, even vs ground targets. As a Dr1 would have zero armor and being everyone and their mother today have rapid fire toys instead of bolt action rifles, it would be easy pickings for a lot of ants on the ground going daka daka. While an Apache does have armor. But ironically vs something like a Helicopter in the right situation a Dr1 would comically still be a serious threat.
Maybe I should go and find my PS2 and play this game. I miss playing this game, but I think I would have to do a lot of work just to get it working again due to the dust it probably build up in the system.
I liked the intro vid to the first Air Attack. It mostly made sense. This one... it's freaking terrible/lame. And why is there a Hatian in dreads flying? Thanks for posting these up though!
It's probably because It's made for kids, and as a kid, I loved these cutscenes, still do. They're stupid as hell, but they got personality, that's for sure.
And they also run at 30 fps and a much lower resolution than the PS2 ones, which work at 60 fps and a much higher resolution. Also Vikki's model is vastly improved in the PS2 cutscenes. She looks weird in this version
