did anyone else start dying when he smacked the meter
I cried a little. I love my Meter and treat it like the precision instrument that it is.
I have the exact $30 meter, it also needs similar calibration exercises occasionally.
sorry to be offtopic but does anyone know a way to log back into an instagram account??
I somehow forgot my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me
You should always start when checking ohm by checking your leads
Verifying your meters test leads
Then set you meter to the greatest amount of Resolution or auto range
Fluke makes a great self pace test to teach you how to use a DVM for their 88 model but its good for any DVM
I loved how you fixed you multimeter!!!
“Sometimes you just gotta smack em”, Most sane quote I heard all 2023
One thing I learned from performance coils is they really don't make a huge difference on fuel injected.
The main reason carbureted vehicles benefit so much from better ignition coils is because their carburetion is heavily emissions spec and full of other fuel/air compromises that make carburetion far less than perfect. What a high output coil does in these cases is compensate by its superior ability to ignite less than perfect mixtures. Better ignition coils make up for poorer carburetion.
The SMACK took me back to the days of Fonzi when our TVs and many other other electronics had vacuum tubes that could get misaligned... but a good Fonzi SMACK on the side could make it work. After which you had to say "Heyyyyyyyyyyyy!"
I legit thought you said *"Everyday I Rave"* & just as I reached for the close tab I saw the bike lol. Good vid man.
Thumbs up on banging the $#¡+ out of the meter. Hahahaha
Thanks for video
LOVE the FONZY touch ta get meter ta act right ,,, HELL YEAH!! lmao. preciate the testing and info
Then you're going to like the ignition coil comparison video that I am uploading right meow, check it out when it's done later on today.
Thanks for the video, not another one like this, on the subject. Good information
I think the 0.85 ohms is correct. You have not deducted the error. First you have to short the leads of meter and note the reading. This should be done for low resistance measurements. thanks
Great job nice video
I don't have 15 minutes just tell me if its ok to buy the cheap ones
@@BrandonRosenstrauch My verdict was the MK2 NB Miatas have really bad coils in them anyway, so you may as well buy cheap, cos they're gonna break often! 2 months after doing it myself for £70 all is still good :)
You did really Good test. Why you didn't off tge lights or the background?
LMFAO WHEN HE SMACKES THE MULTIMETER
Nice trick you did with that DVM 😂😂😂, funny stuff. But overall, I’m building a r1 turbo kart, not sure much boost I’ll run yet, but what’s your take on boost and the OEM coils? Is it necessary to switch them? Was doing research on that information and cane across your vid
Check this video out, I tested stock coils ua-cam.com/video/xP3d7hLRrZg/v-deo.html , that should give you the answer.
Good Sheet!! Brother makes good sense what about quality of insulation
Did you see any gains after using these coils on your bike?
Him and the meter were having some differences.. lol
I am glad to announce that they have resolved the problem and have moved on together 😂
I have the same multimeter, does the same thing, smh. I can get over how expensive these little coils are, I thought the coils for cars were outrageous this is far worse in price.
The real problem with the O.E.M. coils isn't inside but the plastic shell which dries out and gets micro cracks that allow the spark to arc-fire .
N damn you drop it like it’s hot😂😂😭
Check that coil so that another one uses it I have a cfmoto 400nk uses a similar one, it will be that I get it universal
The icimg on the cake with your testing would be to have them fitted with bike running and the ht leads connected to a oscillascope and you would see all the timings and how much energy is realy being delivered in a real world set up .
Hi is it advisable to use frm a stock primary winding 3k ohm to 0.3 ohm resistance? But in addition, i install a 5k ohm plug caps. Please advise.. #sub
Have you ever used ac delco extreme sport spark plugs?? I’ve bought them to swap in the spring. Good video. Lol. Sometimes you gotta smack the damn thing.
Kudos for having the bike in the house. We´re not heathens for crying out loud.
Did you make the harness for the stand-alone or did you find someone who does it.
So, can someone please tell me how much voltage my ignition coils provide at the spark plug? Primary resistance: 0.6 k Ohm, Secondary resistance 13.2 k Ohm. The ignition coil boot also has a 2 k Ohm resistance itself. Input voltage is 14.1 Volts. Thanks in advance.
Him smacking it down on the table is a recalibration procedure used by best know mechanics!🤣
As i know the only difference between the original and the other coil ignition is the resistance to heat, when they got hot the resistance increase, and you must to test it,to normal temp and after some hours of use. There is the trick, the coil is the same in every part of the world,it could change the purity of cuprum(CU) of the coil, but i have my doubts.
Where did you learn to say "cuprum"? We say "copper" in America, but "cuprum" makes better sense with the element's symbol.
Jajajajaj you smack it I follow you now hahahaha
I have 2005 zx10r. Have you tested Brisk spark plugs AR10ZS? It would be nice to test it to see if 3sparks per ignition is better.
I saw 5hp gain and way better response with brisk I will not run anything but brisk in my high performance vehicles I ran in my busa as well didn't get to test but u can definitely feel the difference from the ngk
on video the difference does not seem great, is the extra cost worth it?
You're testing a used OEM coil vs a new aftermarket. Numbers are different from new to used.
What's the verdict?
Is it worth it or??
Your moto is turbo? Amazing!!!
@@everydayirace hi guy sorry for my ugly english!
I don't know your moto but i have see intercooler blow off valve and handmade exhaust...
I think that your moto is an arrow!!!!
Congratulation
A kiss from Italy.
We all " been there , done that !
hi is it ok to upgrade the coil if you have an open looper O2 piggyback already?
It's ok to upgrade the coil as long as your electrical system can handle higher current load.
Hello Brother. I’m sorry coz this may be slightly different mode of transportation as i’m driving a car. I got my a 2008 mitsubishi lancer GLX (CS3), equipped with a 1.6L Naturally Aspirated engine (4G18), couples with a automation CVT gearbox.
I have found myself some perfomance thicker wires and ignition coils online. And it was proven by another consumer that the outcome was a good change.. response and pick-up to speed was significantly better than it was before... any advice on whether i should proceed with the mod or should i just stick to stock?
If it was proven that the outcome was a good change, and if that change is worth the cost to you, you should get them. If the cost isn't worth it to you, you should stay with oem.
EVERY DAY I RACE hmm. Do you believe that more pickup power equals to higher fuel consumption? Because i was told that if i were to go for the Performance Ignition Coils and the Performance Wires done, i’ll receive enhanced car performance, and the life span of the coils will be able to withstand slightly bit longer than stock ignition coils. How can you advise on that take?
if you had a car with a boosted engine running 45+ psi and experiencing spark blow out, i would say go for it. The best way to decrease fuel consumption is to change the way you drive, it cost no money and you'll be able to measure the gains.
Imo more efficient fuel combustion results in better performance and fuel consumption. If a coil can combust fuel more efficiently then it should require less fuel for the same result
Did you notice a butt dyno difference on acceleration?
03:27 ALWAYS WORKS!!!
Even with my wife.
Are they both new?
You can't accurately measure less than an ohm with a DMM like that. To get close you'd need a DMM with 4 leads. I would trust the mfg's stated 0.85 ohms.
Yo I'm facing dead what a classic the smack
So correct me if I’m wrong. The aftermarket coils were better. But the stock spark plug was better than the iridium??? Good video btw
Unless you have a high horsepower engine with boost or nitrous, neither coil or spark plug will give you anymore power, if that's what you're asking.
Sometimes you gotta smack it. I laughed so hard
@@everydayirace I really did appreciate that. Was taking a shit while watching and laughed so unexpectedly that I pooped more.
@@happypoorguyy Hahahaha, I think this is funnier than me smacking the meter.
man..you cracked me up at 3:26..... i was laughing in my apartment at 5AM.... LMAO
May be you would burn the computer driver ip if you drew more amps than the specs .
Whats a good ignition for my 2005 tundra stock 4.7?
Stay with DENSO brother, the coils for yours are hella affordable. Look em up just swapped mine out for NEW ONES from DENSO directly ('06 Tundra 4x4 D.C.). COST ME HALF what TOYOTA WAS ASKIN.🤙😎
I subbed bro , should I buy after market coils or not ?
2009 Maxima
Don't think it is worth the extra $110 for Dynatek but points for hitting the multimeter and fixing it.
Not sure this is a good comparison, sorry. Thumbs up for efforts and showing tunerstudio test modes though. A great comparison would be showing the coils performing when they heat up or internal combustion pressures.
The after market coil has a slightly better spark by very little doesn't justify of putting them in when they go out much faster than ur stock coil
Hi.
I like to ask if anybody knows to give me an answer to this!
The Aftermarket coils are claiming that their coil power is 40-45.000 Volts. The aftermarket companies also claiming that the manufacturer coils are 20-25.000 Volts.
By measuring your way the Ohm we find the Primary Resistance is about 35% higher and the Secondary almost 50% higher to this specific coils.
Having those two measures in hand, anybody can tell me WHAT can be the difference in %, in Volts?
Also IF we can find the Actual Volt of ANY coil IF we have those two measures on hand?
Thanks.
You can measure voltage of the coil with a voltmeter that is able to read high voltage. My question is what are you trying to accomplish?
@@everydayirace . We want to check IF some "performance coils" which they say that they deliver 40.000 Volts and IF they are Better than the OEM coils!
We want to check IF the voltage they claim is correct or not, but we don't know if this is easy!
Also, I don't think that there is a Voltmeter in the market which can measure 20.000 Volts.
@@AutoproGreece There is a way to measure it and it's easy if you have the right tools.
@@everydayirace I found some voltmeters measuring up to 40.000 volts for about $100.
Say we measure the Primary and Secondary Ohms in the two coils as you did.
Is any math type and can we say or find that the Performance coil is 20% or 30% better than the OEM?
Thanks.
Emmanuel
@@AutoproGreece I don't have a voltmeter like that nor did I ever tried to find one, so my answer would be I don't know. But what I am wondering is why you calling coils better? There is a coil for every application, more volts doesn't equal more power from the engine, meaning if you put 200000000 volt coil in an engine that doesn't suffer from misfire with a stock coil, you'll get 0 gains from installing that 2000000000 v ignition coil.
he sounded like disappointed hahaha
Let me tell u something, when cars comes with stock coil means that's right 1
He has obviously upgraded and tuned his bike so why not upgrade the his ignition
Nope .. i cannot trust your readings sir .. u just smacked that device so damn hard to get it working 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 ffs we need more content like this .. it went from educational to funny af
but was that slightly better spark worth the extra money u spent...
ummmmmmm not really.
Looks the same to me brother
Im dead 🤣 he hit that shit
It's a delicate balance between performance and durability.
Ok cool I'll buy 8 for my BMW X5-M 😉👍
If its a performance coil it should read under 1 ohm. A factory coil is only 1 ohm performance coil is usually half an ohm more power this is for a vehicle though not a bike i don't know about a bike
@@everydayirace I know but the better resistance the more power it makes. thats why thicker spark plug wires carry more current less current drop over a thicker wire.
That’s is a cool test on those coils but you could do one other test and it would be awesome with the lights dim and the coils running at max reach over and grab the end of the spark plug with your bare fingers so we could see the difference in between coils I promise you will get more views and making some extra cash cause everyone will share the video. Just kidding you I’m glad you did the test cause I thought it might not be worth the money for new coils
Sometime you got to smack them.
Absolutely no difference. Both sparks are capable of igniting the mixture. As soon as the mixture ignites it does its own thing, regardless of the power of the spark that ignited it. A fatter spark does not give a fatter ignition.
dont see much difference here on spark strength/brightness.............
a sticker can make a company millions of dollars...
they are the same bro
just one has fancy stickers on it,
It's not the quality of the coil pack, It's the rain water or coolant in the spark plug well...!
sometimes u just gotta smack it! (That’s what she said) 😏
its not worth the big diff they demand even if you turbo charge your engine,,the diff is way overboard.
I'd take oem anytime
I think it means the original coil has more resistance which is a resistance to the curent flow and the coil and plug will laster longer. The coil with less resstence will get hotter and also burn out the coil and plug faster because there will be more current flowing through the coil making it get hotter. .
Sometimes you have to smack your vm hahhahha
RIP meter ⚰️.
Can't wait to order these.... going to order the wiring harness along with it. UPGRADED my FUEL SYSTEM (PUMP, and INJECTORS "6 PIN HOLE") my stock coils are garbage (have 65k on em), and are ABSOLUTELY TIRED.... GONNA WAKE MY GSXR 600 "UP"!!!🤙😎
smack that meter hahaha!
I gave thumbs up for smacking the meter for glitching
Lol.
FUCK YES ME TO
lol It started working after too what the actual fffffffff
lmao I got the same meter ...now i know what to do when it acts up
When in doubt, hammer it out!
