24:10 Well, we know the Epyx programmers were Monty Python fans. "The Lumberjack Song"
Heh, yeah that's a great little Easter egg.
Bless you for letting the music play out. 😁
For Epyx games? Always.
I used to love playing and watching my parents play this when I was a kid.
Watching this in 2024. We grew up in the good times for computer gaming.
Wow Epyx put so much details in their games in both visual and sound quality, which is awesome for 1986 standards and I dare to say even today's standards. These games have a charm to them that not even today's modern triple A titles can match. Man I miss the 80's
Paul Contreras I agree! Very well crafted game!
Uh you even put in the loading comand😊 That's nostalgia
I used to play this at school in the 90s, i remember every event vividly, what I didn't remember was how kick ass the music was though thanks for the vid!!!!!!!!
Not a problem.
I remember the log rolling. It was almost impossible to knock a computer opponent off. It could go on forever.
I didn't have any luck at it with my playthrough.
As a kid, I think I killed all the athletes I controlled lol
Beautiful memories!
had to cry when i saw this. thank you!
No problem 😊
That cliff diving music was so sick. Anyone know the name of the actual tune?
'pretty sound I love it
Strong nostalgia with this one...wow. Thank you
Not a problem. Thanks for watching, and subscribing hopefully!
@@doteaters Yes, subscribed! I was born in mid 70s...grew up with Pong, Atari 2600, Vectrex, 5200, C64, C128, 3DO, Genesis, NES, dos 486/486. Etc. But the C64 games have been the hardest to find. Both because the memories are some the oldest & most faint and also because there were just so many C64 games. Hot Wheels, California Games, Project Firestart, Winter Games are the ones I remember most. But there are other games I know I played but I can't even remember what game it was unless I hopefully stumble across it. Anyway, thanks again for uploading!
@@ZacharyCusanelli Thanks again for watching! I'm always adding more stuff to the YT channel, so keep an eye peeled and keep engaging in the content and all that!
Loved this game.
It's a good one.
Always enjoyed the fact that the Epyx team didn't know what the Australian national anthem was, so just threw in "Waltzing Matilda".
The Australian national anthem isn't Waltzing Matilda?
dutch like me, well done :D
I loved this game as a kid, even though I absolutely sucked at most if the levels. It was before the internet, no clues or hints how to actually control the character the best 😛 Cliff diving for example, got so low points, even though I splashed in straight and pulled up after that and no idea what I was doing wrong. 😫
well the slalom skiing was disappointing! Only got to see 3 gates...
Verstappen song
Is this game worth any money? I have one for the msx
24:10
I cut down trees, I skip and jump, I like to pick wild flowers. I put on women's stockings and hang around in bars!
I could never do the bullfighting right. Kudos to you. The logrolling is impossible, also. The Sumo....how did you lose when it looks like you won, did your back touch the ground?
William: Playing for Holland
Results: U.S.S.R. won the World Games
Did this game come out on the Atari 8 bit line?
Not officially, no.
@doteaters it's amazing the amount of great quality games that came out on C64. No why it killed the Atari line up because of the amazing sales.
There are people who came here for 24:10 and people who lie
Truth. It was great to hear that song and know that the creators of the game were fans of Monty Python. If you've got the time and inclination to read more about the creators and the company that put out these wonderfully creative games, I have a complete history of computer game maker Epyx on my website, if you want a read: thedoteaters.com/?bitstory=computer/epyx

(I came for the cliff diving music)
