Its been about 3-4 days since i own this watch and i can say that its the best ever watch for sports, hunting, fishing, hiking and many more. I Love the lots of features it includes and the fact you can customize the watch face to your please plus the amazing battery life where it can last up to 40 days. If you're looking to spend some good money on good watch this is the go to.
Thank you very very much for your work and help. Ive got my first garmin watch ever today. My first smart watch to be precise. Im not a spring chicken anymore to be honest lol, but your videos are a massive help to navigate me into the world of this sorcery. The watch monitors my heartrate, has an oximeter and monitors my sleep, im really happy ive got it. When i was young the best you got was vinegar filled socks on your feet with onions. This was the kind of medicine i was used to lol. Keep up your great work! you are a great help!
so i always curious about the distance of this tracker, lets say i walk from A point to B point, the distance is about 140 mil, is it still can track the route that far?
I love my instinct 2x! But, there's something missing which I had at first. When starting a walk/hike I used to get an in screen message saying "25 meters" with a pointer to for instance to the right. I don't get these anymore. I walk a lot with komoot and maybe it's because I don't send a gpx file to my Garmin?
Hello, how can I remove the options tab that appears every couple of seconds on the top of the map? It says options, shows the heart and the phone icon
Hello. Your channel has answered many questions about the features of this watch. Thank you. I am primarily wanting this watch for wearable navigation. One of my needs is navigating on water along a route. From what I can tell, a route is a "Course" on the Instinct 2. I have several routes where I have course points with a clear safe channel between each point. My concern while navigating between these points (which can be a few miles) is I need course deviation to know if I am still traveling on the safe line between the two points and not offset into shallows or rocks. Does the Instinct 2 report "course deviation distance" or "distance off course" between these points? For example reporting that the "course line is 450 feet to your left." Tried looking in the OM but no luck.
When I use Navigate, in about 15 minutes on the trail the watches attempts to auto shutdown Navigate to "save battery" - makes the feature unusable. Any way to disable auto turn off?
That sounds like the power save function. Are you sure you started the navigation activity? This usually occurs if you open an activity but do not start it.
Can you create points with specific Lat and Long on the Garmin connect app? Like pre planned points you somehow already have the cords for. Just clicking on the map in the create course isn’t accurate enough for what I’m looking to use it for. Thanks
You can import gpx route into the app, so this is a solution. If you create a gpx route (using any software) than you will have course with precisely specified coordinates.
Hi, i know this is already 1 year old. I have the 2x and asking if you have a route created and diverge from that route, do you get redirected to a different path or does it just notify you to get back from where you diverge your path?
Hi, what about the type of navigation? Direction or course or I don't know the English name of this kind of setting? Sorry for the way I write but thanks if you can help me because I cannot find anything about this. Hope I was understendable
Very nice. Do you need to pay for a subscription or is it included when you purchase this watch? I use my Garmin Rhino to mark points to hike back to. Want to see if this watch can replace my Rhino.
@Gauging Gadgets thanks for the reply, man! I would like something with a little more smart watch capability but also maintain the navigation for seadooing. Would you have ant recommendation for me?
The Garmin Instinct is a fantastic watch and function wise pretty much the holy grail of any digital watch lover. However, the design has become boring and is completely outdated, Garmin needs to make something really cool sci-fi/retro/futuristic looking (take a look at the Timex Command Shock for a good example), something in a rectangular 16:9 widescreen format. And please get rid of that stupid circle in the upper right corner it is entirely pointless in a MIP watch and WAY too much Casio'ish (G-Shock'ish).

Its possible to navigate to specific coordinates, during expedition? Thanks.
Finally someone that actually posted about the navigation on a gps watch, thank u!
You're very welcome! Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for watching and please consider liking and subscribing! :)
Your channel is one of the few that talks about navigation in details

Thanks, very few UA-cam reviews focus on the navigation howto.

Great video! After attempting to figure it out, "on my own," in the dark of Death Valley........well, your tutorial is one of the best ever! Thanks
I just got my G-Shock GWG-B1000, and I now have a strong feeling that I had to get this. Maybe I should switch to this, or maybe I should have both!
Best tutorial on the feature. Thanks!
Do you know how to add waypoints to a route so that data such as "time to next" etc. works?
Can you have a course on the screen while GPS is running on a skiing or biking activity?
This was a great tutorial. Thanks!

Yes, but I would definitely recommend something with a better map for your uses.
I would recommend the fenix 7 or epix
Very useful, thank you
I’m the first one who gave you like

Not able to get gps active in indoor activity like treadmill. Pl guide.
Does it all work without phone ? ( internet )
Yes

It will notify you to get back on course.
Thanks that was very helpful
Do you have to pay a monthly subscription fee for using the gps on this?
Nope. It's all free.
Hi and thanks for the video! Can you introduce gps coordinates from scratch and save them? Bests regards from a Venezuelan viewer!
Yes he said that at the end of the video. How to do that

the index picture of this video is a bit misleading, one could think that the watch has a full featured (wired) map which is obviously not the case.
Very nice. Do you need to pay for a subscription or is it included when you purchase this watch?
I use my Garmin Rhino to mark points to hike back to. Want to see if this watch can replace my Rhino.

I wonder how well it would work on the water seadooing
It will keep up and should do a good job.
@Gauging Gadgets thanks for the reply, man! I would like something with a little more smart watch capability but also maintain the navigation for seadooing. Would you have ant recommendation for me?
Why don’t you post this yesterday
I posted a different video yesterday
Lmao
You can only save 2 locations on the watch
No you can save as many as you want.

Too fast, bro. Couldn't follow.
