    No doubt the fencing will withstand 100mph winds but it all comes down to how the posts have been set and how soft the ground is. Most people put posts 1ft deep with half a bag of cement around it and then wonder why fence falls over when toddler leaned against it.
    Good concept, very little maintenance and will last forever.

    seen a similar thing from a US company and they used '"no dig" posts where they used a petrol post driver to set the posts, been looking for something similar as not keen on digging 50+ holes

    I found this system a couple of months ago and really liked it straight away. There weren’t many videos about it though, so thank you for making such a detailed one.
    Now I see it sold in more places too. I want it installed in our garden but there are weeds and foxes around.
    Since the post is 2ft down in the ground, could it have a gravel board 1ft down? Basically under the U channel with the slots?

    What width holes do they recommend for those skinny posts? Would 20cm (the typical auger size) be enough at 60cm depth?

      Still same as traditional post 😊

      @@homeimprovementsso you need a lot more postcrete than traditional too then?

    how do you hide the gaps at the bottom from pushing all the panels up flush with the top rail?

    • @kennydiesagain
      @kennydiesagain Місяць тому +2

      That was going to be my question as well

    • @michaelwilson3844
      @michaelwilson3844 Місяць тому

      Yes just watched it back and it would be good if it didn’t show a gap at the bottom but guess if it touched ground level water would eventually attack the bottom

      @homeimprovements  Місяць тому +4

      We wanted the fence level otherwise we would have had to step the fence so we just pack the stones more to compensate for the level fence

    What’s will these look like after a few years with sun and heat on them , fading and buckling perhaps?

      Composite fencing can last from 30 to 50 years with very little maintenance needed. Out does wooden fencing by a long shot.

    • @BenG47986
      @BenG47986 21 день тому

      Been installing these for the last 2 years and I can tell you for a fact they do fade in the sun. You also get a guarantee of 15-25years depending on whether you get the galvanised posts or the coloured ones but the small print makes it impossible to use that guarantee. Lots of ridiculous stipulations

    • @davesheffield3620
      @davesheffield3620 21 день тому

      @@BenG47986 I thought they might fade , they look great when new but faded isn’t a good look I.m.o after time.

    • @BenG47986
      @BenG47986 21 день тому

      @davesheffield3620 its a very good system but it's overly expensive. The way they have done it with the composite boards inbetween the posts. Your looking at about £400-500 per bay just in materials
