85% of this type of problem is because of (shift knob) , It happened with me 2011 sonata and went to Hyundai dealer and got the knob and it took them 10 minutes to replace and the problem solved !
You took way too much apart all I did was take the top cap off of the shifter saw a couple little black pieces in there blew it out with my airgun problem solved

Thanks I just had to mess with my shifter and it worked
Car key is not rotating after inserting it. Neither to ignition nor lock. It stucks at the Acc. So it would be the same problem?
