Instructions:
1. The first test should be fully charged battery.
2. Connect the battery to be tested positive to positive input, a negative input to the negative, can not be reversed (with load reversal may damage the circuit)! Load connected to the output of the positive and negative output, to work through the tester micro USB power supply (not available desktop or laptop USB powered), then the battery voltage.
3. Direct start test need only one press of the "OK" button, the tester can automatically develop an appropriate termination voltage of the battery full charge voltage, and will start flashing after the test three times. Need to develop artificial termination voltage only when the battery voltage display state by pressing "+" or "-" buttons to modify the termination voltage display beginning with P, behind the representative voltage resolution 0.1V, set up after pressing the "OK "start testing.
4. After the start of the test the tester will control the load of the electronic switch is turned on, the test data shows that the process will release capacity (Ah), current discharge current (A) and battery voltage (V) between the wheel was. When the battery voltage reaches the set cut-off voltage, load control switches off the tester display data stays in capacity (Ah) and above and the corresponding indicator flashes quickly together, now displays the actual capacity of the battery is discharging capacity, about the press "OK" to terminate flashing allows stable data display, press again "OK" button to return to the power-on state can just replace the battery test the next section ......
Error codes and their meanings:
Err1: battery voltage is above 15V
Err2: battery voltage is lower than the termination voltage
Err3: Battery can not afford to load or discharge current line too much resistance
Err4: overcurrent (current exceeds 3.1A)
Could you not use say some 12v pc fans or something to make the load? Does it have to be these resisters and does it have to be 2?

Instead of that two "5w 7k5 ohm load resistor" can I use alternative loads? Like bulb/motor/anything else which drinks so much energy as load?

Yes you can use it. The discharging current will be about 500ma if you 8.2ohms resistor.

Yes, you have to set the cutoff voltage according to your battery
I have got my unit, I put it on and test my 3.2v lifepo4 batteyr, after runs for few minutes, I touch the white register, it is very hot to touch... was it normal ? It is save to carry on for few hours ?
Yeah, it's normal. If you want You can add a small cooling fan.

Hi bro .. Want to ask about this module .. In terms of finding the real/original capacity on one 18650 battery, what is the most accurate load size to use?
What's the maximum load that can be used or handled? 1 Amp or 2 Amp or 3 Amp?

I discharge 18650 batteries at 1amp of load. I use couple of 5w 7.5 ohms resistors in parallel to get 1amp. The maximum discharging current of this module is 3amps.

@@machtundrebel3127 if you buy this module you can get 2× 7.5 ohms 5 watt resistor. You can use 1 resistor for 500ma discharging current or use 2 resistors in parallel to get 1000ma. thanks for watching

Maybe you set the termination voltage higher. To start the test with the automatically determined termination voltage, press the “OK” button. The display will flash the termination voltage 3 times and begin testing. If you wish to set the termination voltage yourself, press “+” or “-“ to modify the termination voltage as desired, then press “OK” to start the test.
@@ElectroRetro its working now. Buy when i set termination “P2.7” the last voltage stopped at 3.0v what does mean that? Why he not stop at 2.7v?
After stopping the test at 2.7v. The battery voltage may rise to 3v.

It's not made to test low voltage batteries, although it supports it. Can't guarantee the accuracy.

DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP. It can measure voltage fairly well but it can't accurately measure current. My testing shows 705% error at 1.0V, it gets better at higher voltages, 27% error at 3.5V.
Measuring current is the primary thing this device needs to do for a battery capacity test and this device can't do it.
What do you recommend then ? There is something better then this little board?
I found they drift out of calibration, some after only a few cycles, so not super great if you have hundreds of cells to check
