One of my dearest friends is from Saudi Arabia, and they have moved back there a few years ago for her husbands work and to help her mother care for her ailing father . I remember her telling me and laughing ‘oohhh no whatever will he do when we go home? I’m not allowed to drive . He will have to take the kids to school and drive anywhere we need to go - how will he cope!?’ He had got very used to that and she did say that most men from her country are very lazy when it comes to home life , anything to do with the care of children and cleaning etc it is all her responsibility. Now that is a cultural thing, not a religious thing . And I am not going to generalise because whilst I know she knows her own country better than me I also know that not every single man has been raised that way . When it comes to religion , which is predominantly Muslim in that part of the world , covering up is part cultural part religious depending on where you live . It is meant to be 💯 a woman’s choice to don the hajib and it’s a very special and significant moment for them . They wear it like a crown to show honour to Allah. Chantal is committing blasphemy in the Islamic faith by wearing it and behaving the way she does and doing none of the things she is meant to do , like the observance of prayer etc . She doesn’t know anything about Islam , I can guarantee she is doing nothing to learning the prayers in Arabic etc .. But what I was getting to is that my friends husband is a very nice man , it’s just that that is how it was for them , it’s all they knew and how they were raised. She always put some in a container for me to take home. And so kind in cute and funny ways - like whenever my daughter went to sleep over (her daughter and mine were besties) she would buy ham and bacon in case my daughter wanted some . She thought we were all obsessed with pork related products 😂 . I told her 1/ she can survive a night or two without ham or bacon and 2/ she hates any pork products, we all do , no one in our family even eats it😂. But getting back to what I was saying lol - her husband just politely saying hello to me and giving a brief smile , going into his study when I was there- that’s a religious thing . In Islam men and women who are married are not to have friends or even engage in much conversation with people of the opposite sex . To him it was respecting his wife . And I thought that was nice. And they were actually quite progressive , she had been raised by parents who believed education was everything for a girl . They were really sad to leave the freedom they enjoyed in Australia, for their kids it was the hardest . Only her eldest had been born there and was 6 months when they came here and the other 2 were born here . They went back when her eldest was 13 , so for the kids it was a huge culture shock . But yeah you hit the nail on the head with him not allowing that stuff to happen with Nadar and Dee Dee etc , he is a Muslim and as I said they show respect for their wives by not befriending and talking to other women outside of social niceties , if this marriage was real no way would he show her that disrespect he also would not appreciate the disrespect she is showing him . Like all religions different people interpret it differently but for any practicing Muslim , even more liberal ones there are certain things they all observe and one of those things is that you have to be matched equally with someone , if this marriage was real this live would not be happening . Fresh paint, carpet, probably linoleum- pay a cleaning crew, contractor or handy man, and possibly have to pay to dump whatever garbage she leaves. It certainly isn’t going to be cheap. I wonder if she’s damaged any of the tubs/toilets/sinks past the point of repair where they just need to be replaced. I’m SO glad to not be her landlord or neighbor- she’s literally the worst.

One of my dearest friends is from Saudi Arabia, and they have moved back there a few years ago for her husbands work and to help her mother care for her ailing father .
I remember her telling me and laughing ‘oohhh no whatever will he do when we go home? I’m not allowed to drive . He will have to take the kids to school and drive anywhere we need to go - how will he cope!?’ He had got very used to that and she did say that most men from her country are very lazy when it comes to home life , anything to do with the care of children and cleaning etc it is all her responsibility.
Now that is a cultural thing, not a religious thing . And I am not going to generalise because whilst I know she knows her own country better than me I also know that not every single man has been raised that way .
When it comes to religion , which is predominantly Muslim in that part of the world , covering up is part cultural part religious depending on where you live .
It is meant to be 💯 a woman’s choice to don the hajib and it’s a very special and significant moment for them . They wear it like a crown to show honour to Allah.
Chantal is committing blasphemy in the Islamic faith by wearing it and behaving the way she does and doing none of the things she is meant to do , like the observance of prayer etc . She doesn’t know anything about Islam , I can guarantee she is doing nothing to learning the prayers in Arabic etc ..
But what I was getting to is that my friends husband is a very nice man , it’s just that that is how it was for them , it’s all they knew and how they were raised.
My friend accepted it and she is a fucking boss , not only did she run the home and take care of the kids she had two jobs, made the most amazing food .
Oh her food , fuck I miss her food 😢. She always put some in a container for me to take home.
And she threw the most amazing parties for her kids because she used to be a party organiser , and she would make all this amazing stuff herself etc .
And so kind in cute and funny ways - like whenever my daughter went to sleep over (her daughter and mine were besties) she would buy ham and bacon in case my daughter wanted some . She thought we were all obsessed with pork related products 😂 . I told her 1/ she can survive a night or two without ham or bacon and 2/ she hates any pork products, we all do , no one in our family even eats it😂.
But getting back to what I was saying lol - her husband just politely saying hello to me and giving a brief smile , going into his study when I was there- that’s a religious thing .
In Islam men and women who are married are not to have friends or even engage in much conversation with people of the opposite sex . To him it was respecting his wife . And I thought that was nice.
And they were actually quite progressive , she had been raised by parents who believed education was everything for a girl .
They were really sad to leave the freedom they enjoyed in Australia, for their kids it was the hardest . Only her eldest had been born there and was 6 months when they came here and the other 2 were born here . They went back when her eldest was 13 , so for the kids it was a huge culture shock .
But yeah you hit the nail on the head with him not allowing that stuff to happen with Nadar and Dee Dee etc , he is a Muslim and as I said they show respect for their wives by not befriending and talking to other women outside of social niceties , if this marriage was real no way would he show her that disrespect he also would not appreciate the disrespect she is showing him .
Like all religions different people interpret it differently but for any practicing Muslim , even more liberal ones there are certain things they all observe and one of those things is that you have to be matched equally with someone , if this marriage was real this live would not be happening .
Sorry for the long post but yeah - she knows nothing of Islam or ‘Arab men’ .

@@smary80 She has too much debt. From my understanding Canadian government would block her request to sponsor him. When you sponsor someone you are financially responsible for them for three years. The way Canada sees it is if she can’t pay her debts she can’t afford to sponsor anyone.
