For people suffering from this set-up, there is a trick to it. First you must make a fresh install of software & drivers while USING THE USB CABLE, you have to specify the set-up as USB connection in the very beginning, and make sure ALL SOFTWARE GOT INSTALLED. Make sure you print a test page successfully. Then you open the Samsung installed software (Diagnosis, Easy Printer manager, etc.) and set-up the wireless connection from inside the software, keeping the USB connected so that wireless settings can be transferred to the printer. When finished, you will not need the USB cable any more since your Printer will be connected to your wireless network and accessible by all devices on the wireless LAN.
This worked for me. The wifi option of the installation didnt work, plugged in or not, only the usb installation. Then you search for samsung on you computer to open wifi installing software.

Thanks for the great tutorial. It got me most of the way to connecting my C1860FW, but... I had to change things a bit, because my wifi is a a Deco mesh. When I tried Add a NEW printer, I got a list of all the devices already connected to the Deco, but not the printer. After some head scratching, I used the display and keypad on the printer along with the Deco cellphone app to connect the C1860FW to the network. Botta-bing, botta-boom. It worked. Then I used the option to configure an existing printer, and...the C1860FW showed up in the list and works perfectly once the installer finished running. Repeated the process to install the scanner software which is also working perfectly. Hope this helps others in similar situations.

The link you provided in the video description produced the downloadable version. Also, the setup for network printing would have been very difficult without this program. No, it's not gonna help you. To connect your wired printer to a WiFi network you need a small device called WiFi printserver, which costs about $30. The USB cable from the printer will be connected to that device and then you simply need to connect it to your WiFi network.

Try to set up your printer without USB cable. Simply press WPS button and connect your phone to your printer. Open browser and go to printers web interface and make the adjustments you need.
That device has only one button! There's no control panel or screen to make any adjustments and connect to your WiFi network. So, it's pretty reasonable to use USB connection to set up the device.

After I connect to the USB (ML-1865W model) I am getting Data Device Error - setup failed to bring WLAN data from the selected printer...any ideas?
