Excellent! I'm excited for you and glad you found one, congrats! I brought mine to a dinner party last night and enjoyed the everloving heck out of it. You're gonna love it, and I'm interested to know where you land over time between Delta and 51. I still go for the 51 9 out of 10 times, but I don't imagine everyone will land there. Do keep me posted about it, thanks for sharing. Fun stuff, cheers!
Hi, really love your playing. Based on your previous review of the Blues51 and Delta00, I started searching for a second hand (discontinued) Blues51. But they are nowhere to be found! And especially not here in Australia. I will check out the Delta00 instead. I love Alvarez Yairi guitars.
Hey thanks! That's cool to know the review sparked your interest. Yes, the 51 is quite elusive. I just saw one here in the states about a month ago, then, poof, gone! The Delta is around more. I do think I'm a bit of an anomaly liking the 51 over the Delta though. Both are winners. Happy hunting. Cheers!
thanks Jason, I was intrigued to test the 51, because I like the wood combination and the arched back. I'm looking for a parlour sized guitar. Which guitar would you recommend? You obviously like the Delta00. Thanks@@jasonvalcourt
If you like that old timey (compressed) sound, the Delta or 51 do it well. You could look at the AP66SB, or the Masterworks MPA66 as alternatives. I think that'd be a good comparison to make for body style and tone. Of course, you'll be stringing a slot head with those. All good choices though. Cheers!
They are VERY hard to find. The original 2016/17 production with rosemary b/s is no where to be found. I checked every day for 3 years before one fell into my lap. Happy hunting...the Delta 00 is also a beauty with great tone!
many thanks for your feedback. I'll check out the Delta00 after xmas. And yes, the 51 is very rare unfortunately. I will also check out a PRS P20e, lots of vids and reviews. Keen to see which one I like best. Thanks again and please keep the 51 videos coming. @@vacadreamer
I use a TUSQ PQ-6134-00 on all my 1¾ necks including my Ab51, that way string spacing is always the same. It's a 1¾/1.75 nut with 38mm E-E. Obviously it's pre-slotted so you just sand the high to match the original.
Alverez Yari make the best guitars period, haven't used a wound G string since I was a kid, black diamond were all that was available back then,I found deadderos to be better than the string joys, but you can try them, they don't seem as flexible to me.
Well Jason I finally found a Blues 51 after a 3 year search! It will arrive in January 2024. It will pair nicely with my Delta 00. 😉

Nice, thanks for the resource, cheers!
I have this same guitar with no electronics
Excellent! Hard to find them now. I still love mine.

Yairi for the win for sure. Thanks for the tip I'll look for single D'Addarios. I prefer them.
