    You know, those are nice slabs of wood young man, but you know what I noticed most was the triple Nickel setting there all photogenic like, just sayin, you got competition in that respect youngster, be careful, she’s gonna best ya!!!!😂😂 Thanks for the video sir, enjoyed it.

    Cap’n pile your other wood on top with stickers to separate it from your slabs… that’ll slow the drying process (to reduce checks and splits) and protect it from rapid heat and moisture changes.
    About a year or two, these’ll be ready to woodwork!
    Nicely done bud.

    Congrats on the new channel ... subscribed of course. Liking the differing projects on here ... keep'em coming !!! BTW ... betting Logger Wade would cut you a good deal to run those slabs thru his Commercial Planer ... beats heck out of doing it with a handheld electric planer.

    I tried to slab an Eastern Red Cedar - made a mess of it. I've got a friend with a saw mill, so I'm going to take some logs down to his place and give it a try. If it works well and I like it, I may have to save up and get one of my own. With 35 acres of trees, it would be very useful. great video!
