Let me, as a native Moldovan, explain how I see this clip.
The Sun and the Moon are ancient pagan deities that appeared in our culture even before Christianization, and remained in the archetypal motifs of most writers. The coat of arms of Moldova contains the Sun and the Moon, as well as the head of a bull, whose horns we see in the clip 1:54, on the heads of two dancers. The flute is also a traditional Moldavian instrument.
Probably the small flute musician is a hint to the country itself, you know, Moldova is small :) Hope it helps to understand the song better!

I'm so happy this got through to the final. The ethnic sound with modern vibes, the subtle poetry of the lyrics that I think people respond to whether they understand what they mean or not, and a cracking good performance that - like several others from the semis - is even better than what we've seen before in videos.
Many of my all-time Eurovision favourites are songs that follow this pattern, that draw clear inspiration from the traditional music, folklore and literature where the songwriters are from. When artists proudly express something that is part of their culture and identity, that appeals to me, and I feel I learn something about those cultures.
Always been intrigued at visiting moldovia. Its very busget friendly and mysterious .
