I have bought some beef heart - its from Japanese Black cattle. I've never bought heart before, but the butcher convinced me - I actually tried a small piece raw and it was surprisingly good! I like the simplicity of this recipe, but I'm going to add garlic and a little celery, and replace the vinegar with red wine. One of the replies suggested adding cinnamon too, so I'm going to try that as well. I'm looking forward to the finished result - thank you 🙂
@@CookingwithanItalian it was great! never eaten anything like it. I cooked some pasta to have with it, it's was really good and the onion was just melting. 👍
Excellent ! and delicious. I tried it with vinegar, and i tried it with a little bit of red dry Cabernet . Either way, they were both excellent!. Thank you for your recipe. From Seattle, we subscribed ! Bravo!
Yummy😋 Europe has so many offal dishes and I’m in east Asia and also eat beef heart. But every time I talk to my American friends they think it’s strange. 😢
I have heard you either need to cook heart really fast or really slow. I've tried the fast version and I think it wasn't fast enough because it was kind of tough. I'm trying your recipe next time!! Looks delish!
Beef heart is the best of the offals. Bolivians marinate it and grill it on skewers and are served with grilled potatoes and a spicy peanut sauce. It’s called Anticucho and it’s absolutely freaking delicious. Don’t let the fact that its heart fool you - it’s one of the tastiest and healthiest cuts of meat from the whole dang cow!
Thank you, just what I needed. First time cooking heart, I bought two already cleaned and sliced. Looks fabulous, I wonder if I can use lemon juice instead of vinegar!?!? ❤
@@CookingwithanItalian Hi, I tried with lemon, no soy sauce and it worked, really enjoyed, although I did cover the meat in flour first before frying it, then added the boiling water so that I got a sauce out of it to pour over my potatoes, yummy. Thank you again… ❤️
@@CookingwithanItalian cooked now and I really like it. Some tweaks I made was to add some Celery which works quite well. I went a bit over with the apple cider vinegar but I thought it worked nicely. Cooking time was quite a lot longer and is dependant on the cut as it took a long time for mine to soften up. But overall a really good recipe thanks 😊👍🏻👍🏻

Overcooked, beef heart should be medium rare or medium.
That is like casserole. Going to be well done. 👋
Render that fat down for tallow type use, or make suet blocks if not for humans.
Ahahahahaha 😅😅
I was gonna watch this video but didnt as soon as i read the name of the channel and heard you say it. Thanks anyways tho.
