I was scared through the whole story that Tack was gonna die. And I cried when he died. Dogs are way better than people. Great story though
Fuck man way to spoil the story!
Wouldn’t have been mad at ya if you put
🚨 🚨 “spoiler alert!!” 🚨 🚨 🚨 on you post. Smh 🤦🏽♀️
@@aprilminder6851 maybe watch the video before reading comments... That will save you from any spoilers.
@@theshadowbehindyou9631 you know he can't resist the comment section
Why don't you say that to all the soldiers that have died, including men I've served with just so you can have your little freedom to rescue dogs while stepping over that dirty homeless vet. Next time you need a firefighter or a cop - better rethink your feelings. I love dogs but I'd never choose them over humans.

I'm a truck driver and listening to podcasts of yours gets me through the long vicious nights but this one.... this one was different I can't even express the amount of different emotions I felt
Don’t you just love a late night Swamp dweller reading, it makes my late stormy nights a little more interesting.
I love the rain Snd swamp sounds he puts in. Natural sounds over music

I hope no one discovers my cave in those woods
Why not exactly? Just the obvious reason or something bigger or deeper?
That's where he keeps the Krabby Patty secret formula.
I live in Alleghany Co NC, right beside Boone NC, the Appalachian mountains have been my home for 39 years, the creatures I've seen has always amazed me and yes many crazy cryptids live here. Thank you SD, you the man
I live in Allegheny County Pennsylvania
@@bettyb1313 I've heard of that place.
Love those mountains, raised nearby in Roan Mountain area, you are absolutely correct lots of critters living in them hills the modern world doesn't want to know about.
You and me both!
What have you seen so far?
That was a damn good story. Look forward to the next one.
Either that was a super small congregation or that shotgun held a ton of shells...
Absolutely fantastic story, the ending def got to me a bit, Im a huge dog person! RIP Tack.
Amazing voice acting! You’ve come so far Swamp! I remember when you were drunk doing a live stream, talking about the time you saw a dog man and how that got you into these stories!
God - That was years ago!
wow, as a veteran myself that hit me so hard..First time a story made me cry.. still a great story, I really enjoyed it! Thank you Swamp dweller!
Home town story this is awesome. Sad about the dog though but a good dog will definitely risk there life for ours. 👊💀🍻
I’ve got 2 dogs, and I’ve had them both since they were just coming off of their moms milk. They view me as their dad, they sleep with me, and god help the dumb ass that Tries to break into my house 😂
Swamp, I've been enjoying your narrations for a while now and this story has to be one of my absolute favorites. Keep up the excellent work. ❤️
I am almost crying here... Tack the hero. And you soldier *salute*
This was an extremely well written story and your narrayion really brought it to life! Thanks to you both :)
As a trucker he is the best that keeps me up
I'm a huge dog lover. And I also love your stories swamp. But this one tore me up.
same for me😔
Dogs are a gift from God🕊
HOW ? could the US Military just throw dogs of war, away to the pound ? After serving our country.
Oh.....wait..!!😔
it's Not unusual
happens to our men/women on a regular basis.
DISGUSTING
BTW: red or blue doesn't matter -

SAME a$$
We aren't fighting for our country , we're sending our family members to war !! For war mongers.
& the shadow regime , you know !! The ones attempting to destroy current societies.....
world- wide 😞
I was a sad reading it as well, what a story!

Crazy on how they treat the military dogs when they're injured...like excuse me dogs are the most loyal that you could ask for. Plus, without them sniffing around and sensing danger there's probably more death than you could think of. I'll hug my Thanos extra tight for Tack. I hope that the owner of Tack would stop blaming his self for what happened.
He did man turns out he they was both fine and lived happily ever after with a woman that he found him with which they both also grew to love how she loved them
The story is sadly more believable than the comment
They don't treat military dogs like that now. They treat them just like a soldier now. They even have a memorial for military dogs in Washington DC. They even get medals. I'm not even sure they were treated like that during the Vietnam war. The military puts a lot of money into dogs to train them. Remember, this isn't a true story.
Is Thanos a Mastiff?
I'd guess German shepherd or Belgium malinios
I Fuckn love Appalachian stories don’t know why I think it the way it rolls off the tongue appa-lachian
Sounds like Tack was true,RED WHITE BLUE.I SALUTE YOU.
I live smack dab in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains just outside the Pisgah National Forest.
May I ask you then... He’s not pronouncing Appalachian correctly is he? I know it said with a strong A, could be just me but I’ve never heard it said otherwise lol (Love his narrations regardless)
Michaux national forest here, just outside of Gettysburg.
@maria lacosta a lot are true. Here in Pennsylvania we have Bigfoot, Dogman sightings. We’re also by Site R “Raven Rock” and Camp David.
@maria lacosta I will tell you dogman and bigfoot are 100% real, yes they're snake handling practicing here deep in the mountains, I have seen things in these mountains that have haunted my dreams for many years. I love it here though, it's beautiful and peaceful.......for the most part.
@maria lacosta you did a wonderful job, it's 2:53 am here in Appalachian mountains
Hey we call those hollows 'hollers' down here in Ky lol. And corn pone is delicious 😄

Perfect timing waking up in the middle of the night to hear another one of your amazing videos to fall asleep to
Holy cow man that story was intense. Great stuff bro. Channel is always a great stop to make in my day
Yes! #2 Hi Swamp this is a first for me on your Channel. Got my popcorn and diet soda, now kicking it outside listening to these stories, enjoying the cool night breeze! 😋 🤗😻😘💖💞💖🍿🍿🥤🥤

Wonderful, it’s storming out where I live as well and nothing better than listening to creepy stories at 12:30 a.m.
Definitely agree with Z.G.’s comment and thank you Swamp Dweller.
Thanks swamp dweller needed a good story to help me crash🤙🏻
I live in Boone, NC and I love stories about the Appalachians! It makes me proud of my home. Thank you so much!
Love stories about home region. These hills are beautiful and creepy as all hell in right times. Lived everywhere growing up (USN) there's nothing like this region, why I ended up staying after college
I'm from Asheville and miss it every single day. Loved this.
I wish Asheville wasn't so crowded these days! I still visit the blue ridge every year though, too beautiful not to.
@@swampdweller I've lived all over the US, but, Asheville will always be home. It is horribly crowded now. People found out secret. It's a nice, slow, easy way of life there. The Southern way. ❤️
Good story but I’m pissed. That dog begged him to gtfo of there, & he didn’t listen, Tac lost his life bc of it
I always listen to your stories and like them all and this one I loved it can’t wait for the next one
Aww Swampio that was such a good story & you narrated it so well, like it was you & Tack was your dog.
You put alot of emotion & energy into this story & it had me riveted till the very end..
I could even visualise you in the leading role, i dunno if you have a dog of yr own but it was like you were thinking of a dog you have or had & how you would re-act if you were in the story.
If u understand my meaning
Anyway, i loved this story & congratulate the author, it was great & scary & sad
Thank you Swamp, you just keep getting better & better 👧🇬🇧🐶🐍
I lost my dog of 14 years not long ago. Really channeled that emotion and pain I felt from that loss. Thanks for listening!
I had a long boring reset at work today, thankfully your podcasts kept me sane lol.
I was just looking for my nightly sleepy stories scary good timing
Great now I’m bawling my eyes out
The swamp popped in right on time ! 😌😴
Sleeping with tears running down my cheek. R.I.P Tack. *Salutes*
Really good story. My heart ached when Tac died.
Thanks Swampy 😊
This has to be my all time favorite Swamp story!
Great story! What a fantastic dog Tack was! I hope Jr. lives up to his namesake! I'd rather take a blow than see my dog get hurt, he's my 4-legged child!
Great story thank you
I just hate when the dog has to die. I loved the story and your narration. Just made me cry a bit.
Damn I shouldn't have read the comments before I finished it 🤨😭
I'm early swampy my boi!
Who the hell thumbs down any of swamps videos? I look forward to them and pretty much fall asleep to them every night. Calming narrations and always great topics. Swamp is the absolute narrator on UA-cam without question. I just don't get people.
Such a emotion evoking Story ♥️😥👏👍
Disclaimer, I'm a brunette, but I love blonde jokes I heard a new one, it's goes like this, a blonde walks into a electronics store and asked if they have color TV's and they said yes and then she said I'll take a pink one, my little sister was blonde and when I first started hearing these I had do so much fun even my little sister did too but some she didn't like so. 😉, I miss her she passed away 5 years ago, not only was she my sister she cut my hair I cut my own hair now yes I miss her the worst thing I had to watch was seeing her go down the drain, her ex started it I tried so hard to reach her, she didn't respond but tried to apologize for the things between us I said no it's okay forgiven before she passed.
Im so sorry for your loss!!
“I cut my own hair now” broke me.
That was really a great story. Not really a Creepypasta, but a great story. I'm a Canine Officer in Illionis, and my boy lives with me too. The bond you form with these dogs, especially after being in high stress, dangerous situations, is unbreakable. They really are heros. They are fearless , loyal partners and I would choose a Canine as my partner over another human anyday. They make work and life in general much better. Thank you to the author.
HEY Swamp all the the way from South Africa I really love you your stories and yet again you did not fail. Thanks for all your efforts doing this stories.
That was a great story. Thank you.
Thanks for listening, Sonny! I appreciate ya.
Cool Story. I like all the stories here but I especially like this one. It was really interesting. Thanks Mr Dweller!
Thanks for listening, Grace!
Thank you for the stories
Glad you like them!
OMG what a story, WOW 😲🤬🤬🤬 Thanks SD
I just cried like a baby 🤧
Twice
Evening :)
Yes
That was wonderful
I had to come here halfway through to know if Tack dies...I couldn't have that sprung on me. :/ Great story though!
Animals can see the Holy Spirit or the Demonic entities in people, trust your animals response, and if something is wrong, it's wrong ! God also gave a person senses, a cop friend of mine years ago said, there'd be more women alive if they would have just listened to there senses God gives us all
Love the full length story's 😍
More to come!
damn! incredible story. had me so hooked I called in sick today and doing some work in the woods. I'll be listening all day. there's some jacked up stuff in the hills yall.
Wow, I've followed your channel for a while and your story telling is amazing, I appreciate you!🤗
Untreated Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake bites are not 100% fatal, not even close. In fact, the fatality rate in untreated bites is only 10-20 percent. The rate is less than 1 percent for those who receive treatment. The venom is plenty potent, but the snakes rarely inject their full dose. There are also many cases of dry bites where no venom is injected at all. In any case, I wouldn't want to be bitten since the Eastern Diamondback has the longest fangs of any venomous snake in the U.S.
Thank you both, Sam and Tack, for your service. As a German Shepherd owner, they are fantastic dogs. If you’re ever in Inverness Sam, I would love to hear more stories. And Tack, may you forever Rest In Peace.🌺
Love that story
Appalachian and blue ridge mountains stories are my favorite I can’t get enough of them. They are so close to home and always scary AF THANK U SWAMP DWELLER❤️👏
Always have to show love to the Blue Ridge, my home away from home.
Great story! Can't go wrong with a story that has a dog as part of the story!
That's a good story, but I'm glad it's not true for Tack's sake.
Do not go into the Linville gorge wilderness alone!!!!
Months of "firefights and booby traps", carries sidearm unloaded.
Absolutley have been enjoying these stories of my neck of the woods (NC Appalachain mountains etc). Cant get enough of them, thanks swamp and keep up the good work!
This is a pleasant surprise hearing a military story. Love your uploads! #proudarmymama
🙏❤🤘
Dude. Always listen to your dog. They KNOW.
Oof I'm glad I went and took a look at the comments. I love this, love the narration, but I can't finish if Tack is gonna die. Nope. No way. Can't do it.
I was hugging my Malinois during the story of Tac... we loved it. ..
It's sad that they would make a dog go to Vietnam. Dogs shouldn't be police dogs either. That is animal abuse like riding horses.
I’m so glad that he found another dog but it was really heartbreaking Lisa the type of stories I don’t like or animals die their loved because I have a dog to and I have lost many throughout my life and I know how heartbreaking it is but with his dog and he meant to each other was even more than most people could ever hope for
Ah man. This one genuinely hit me. And I really don't get creeped out at all.
What a great story had me going first bring back Vietnam. And all the dogs that were saved. Great riding, Great reading! 🏴☠️
❤️
Great story Swamp! Poor tak 😢 I luv Dog's and hate when one is killed in a story or an encounter. 🤗😻😘😉
As i wish you did more of these kind of stories, i can't thank you enough for all the effort you put into entertaining us all. Much appreciated
This Story is one of the best that i have come across till date. Amazingly awesome . Keep up the great work bro & Keep Excelling to be the best in this WORLD. Tc and be Safe. GodBless and GodSpeed.
First story ends in Syracuse NY. That hits close to home.
I'm so glad it's you.
Know how many UA-cam peeps cant say " Appalachian"??
...let me die not of hunger, master...but in combat...and I shall smite the wicked and plunge them into the fiery pit...indeed, boy...good boy...
My favourite swamp dweller story I truly enjoyed it thankyou to the person who shared his experience and swamp dweller
Glad you like it!
In tears listening about Tack…
I related to how the man was kept from eating the bullet by his love for his dog. The only thing that has kept me from killing myself over the last 15 years is my dog. Because he's so very spoiled no one would be there for him. Only now he's on his last leg, maybe another 2-3 years left. Then what am I to do? Give up.
You will find another reason.
@@leftphilange69 I'm not so sure. He's like my child only more loyal and loving. My kids could carry on after I die but my Doodo has gone everywhere with me, stores, bank, doctors offices, absolutely everywhere. We do everything together even morning coffee, each of us having a cup with cream and sugar. He gets cranky without it. He's my PTSD / therapy animal.
@@valeridrake2485 He sounds wonderful, and he’s not in my life to know; he’s not in most people’s lives to know. You got him and that’s special… but the overwhelming majority of people on this earth don’t even know that your dog exists - they surely would think he’s great too if they could meet him, understand him like you do. The rest of the world is like that in relation to you. You haven’t met it to love it. For most of it, you’re not even aware it exists. Not in the same way you know your dog. It’s just another this, another that.
It’s going to hurt like hell when he passes, there’s no doubt about it, but if you go, you end all those memories that nobody else has of that dog. Instead, you’re slowly going to open your heart and go from one lovely thing to the next. It won’t be over, it’ll be the start of a new adventure, and each new person that you meet will be delighted to hear all about the wonderful dog that kept you going when you thought you couldn’t as you find a new thing that loves you like your dog does.
And please message your kids. They might not need you for basic survival, but they love you. You’re allowed to need them.
This is where the movie “wrong turn” is based. The newest one
Tack!!!!! Nooooooooooooo!!!! 😭😭😭😭
That was a good story
I also have those blonde moments ,we all do.
I like this format
Absolutely amazing story
Great story, but I do have to say one thing.. Snakes always move when they are dead. Even if their head is gone. They arent gonna go down your throat. But a beheaded snake can still bite. And the body will continue to squirm and react as long as it's warm. You have to throw them in the freezer for them to stop moving when dead. It's all muscle memory.
Definitely more dog handler stories! This is my favorite story yet
Thank you! Swamp Dweller for your incredible narrations! 🤗
I love the story so very much but I can't ever listen to it again made me cry poor puppers
Dated a guy in Eastern KY. His mom took us to a friend's house. Walked in a trailer that had cages on both sides of the door full of rattlesnakes. I'm from central Ky and believed this was a thing of the past. Idk how, but I ran backwards out of that trailer back to the car. My bf mom thought it would be funny not to tell me and watch me freak out. Her friend bred the snakes for some of the churches out the hollers.
