If the Larry Miller group wants a baseball team. They should pay for the stadium. It's wrong to expect us to pay for it so they can profit millions of dollars.
How will they replace the coal-fired electricity generated there? Oh I forgot, electric energy for Teslas comes from power plugs in parking lots of large buildings🥴
to answer your question: ‘2022, 53% of Utah's electricity net generation came from coal-fired power plants, down from 75% in 2015. Over the same period, natural gas-fired generation increased from 20% to 26% and utility-scale solar power grew from 0.1% to 9% of the state's generation.’ Source: EIA, So as in most states for the last couple of decades coal is being supplanted as a power generation source mainly by natural gas which is at least not as bad as coal and renewables account for a relatively small percentage they’re ramping up also and yeah you’re right that EVs aren’t all that much cleaner all factors considered from the mining of lithium cobalt and nickel but the emissions are localized to the the areas of power plants rather than out individual tailpipes

Not a single dollar of tax money should go to the stadium. The teams owners should pay the dues instead of leeching off the state.
Just like Rome... They will use games and site seeing, to distract from the dust under the rug.
And ohhh, your taxes will pay to uphold this.

Here comes the gentrification of Rose Park and Fairmont. Some of those poorer residents are going to be pushed out of another neighborhood.
I guess they better get rid of the open -air drug market first, don't ya think?
That would be so nice 🥲
Get an NFL team, not MLB.
Utah already shares an NFL team.. the Denver donkeys is a beloved franchise here too.
This will be nice, that area is so run down and gross at the moment.
Do this! It’d be great for the state.
