Ohhhh Myyyy Goodness!!! This is my most favorite book series in my life. It became my foundational philosophy. I first read it while iin High School years ago. I have collected several copies throughout the years. I was talking to my granddaughter about reading audio books and how I am too antiquted to navigate finding books on UA-cam. She said "no problem" and immediately found the first book and sent me a link to The Lensmen series first book called Triplantary's 7 hours of listening pleasure. I am in heaven! Thank you for making this book available to me. I profoundly appreciate it.
I also read this in high school and love the entire series. Thus when I became ancient of age (I am 82 now) and discovered the wonderful world of recording for libriVox, this was one of the very first books I lusted after recording. I just cataloged two stories about 'Storm' Cloud the Vortex blaster. The fun keeps coming! Keep enjoying these stories, there are lots more.
If you haven't heard the following audio books, I highly encourage you do so--of the following audio books--the Lensman series. Period. If you haven't read his books, which I owned, as a boy (perhaps a teenager, I don't quite remember my age) if you do so I think you also really, really, really enjoy them as I did/do! I do want to aquire all these paperback books to read them over, and over and over as I've done so over numerous books I've owned and enjoyed. Thank you C/O Roger Ruuska aka Tootkaylok from Lancaster, PA..
This was truly the first work of “precursor fiction” as i call it: stories wherein a race of benevolent/malevolent precursors coexist or once coexisted alongside other species. Who knows how many forms the Arisians have taken since these stories were written? The Old Ones of 40k The Precursors of Halo…
