I don't understand why media world wide is so anti-Imran now. Before this election he had great support of Indian media as well. No idea, what happened, why media bosses changed their position. for it to be humour, either it has to work as a hyperbole or it should have an unexpected twist which appeals. i'm not pakistani but even i know that the comparison is preposterous for it to work as humour. it's no one's case that Trevor was trying to make an insightful comment on pakistani politics, but the half-assed attempt to palm off the comparison as funny, is quite lame. the lazy attempt at humour is something that we can do for anyone - we can repeat this even for bill clinton and it would pretty much work. King George I'm not sure where you got that idea but prime minister modi can speak 3-4 languages . Although his English is bit weak but that is justified by his humble background.
Also he has built 3 non profit cancer treatment hospital in 3 major cities of Pakistan, most patients can get free treatment there. unlike trump who is taking away health care from people of America and He also built Namal university in a rural area of Pakistan which is affiliated with oxford and is also very nominal.

This man has an ex-wife who has done everything to besmirch his image, even published an autobiography just before the election which really wasn't a biography but a propaganda against Khan. Maybe it's the respect for him as a sportsman, leader, philanthropist, struggling grassroots politician that really rankled me seeing this clip. It is a disgrace that you cherry-pick events of Imran's life that bear resemblance to Trump but fail to mention the heroics of Khan : the man has been fighting for an effing 22 YEARS of his life against corrupt politicians(unlike Trump) , has built the charity-driven Shaukat Khanam Memorial Trust Hospital, one of the finest cancer hospital in ASIA , if not the entire world( 2 branches , one each in Lahore and Peshawar , construction of the 3rd one underway in Karachi) , has built the Namal University in a rural area of Pakistan where close to 90% of the students don't have to pay for an education, and has politically defeated one of the most corrupt regimes ever in Pakistan's history! All his social welfare achievements were made while he was NOT even close to becoming a political power ! His supporters are rude ? Many surveys have shown that his supporters tend to be more educated and qualified than supporters of other political parties! The part where you cherry pick his statement " God has blessed me so much..." was in response to a question where he was trying to make a point that he entered politics not to make money via corruption(as is the case with other politicians in Pakistan), because God had already blessed him with everything he could possibly dream of! It is a shame that a TV show as highly rated as yours would present a completely distorted version of reality. This man has an ex-wife who has done everything to besmirch his image, even published an autobiography just before the election which really wasn't a biography but a propaganda against Khan. He is thr one who released his tax returns first and created an uprising for politians of pakistan to release their tax returns that eventually led them into jail for immense corruption charges. 3) Imran Khan had a political struggle of 22 years before becoming Prime Minister, while Trump came from nowhere & became a President.
4) Imran Khan was making The Very First Cancer Hospital (which still offers free treatment) in his country while Trump was investing in clubs.
5) Imran Khan made top ranking University while Trump was making casinos.
6) & last but not the least...
Imran Khan is going to have a 2nd term of his Government, while Trump has been thrown out like a tissue paper by his own nation. :)

Even as an Indian I was livid at this absurd attempt to liken Imran Khan to Donald Trump. Maybe it's the respect for him as a sportsman, leader, philanthropist, struggling grassroots politician that really rankled me seeing this clip.

All his social welfare achievements were made while he was NOT even close to becoming a political power ! His supporters are rude ? Many surveys have shown that his supporters tend to be more educated and qualified than supporters of other political parties! The part where you cherry pick his statement " God has blessed me so much..." was in response to a question where he was trying to make a point that he entered politics not to make money via corruption(as is the case with other politicians in Pakistan), because God had already blessed him with everything he could possibly dream of! It is a shame that a TV show as highly rated as yours would present a completely distorted version of reality. Comparing Trump and Khan is like comparing a lamb to a tiger because both are four-legged. Shame !

IK may have built a cancer hospital and for that I give him credit. However he is very much like trump in some ways. Fails to stand up for oppressed communities in pakistan just like Trump in USA. He has opposed women's protection bills of 2006 as well as the recent 2015 one. He has thrown pakistani relegious minories under the bus by defending the disasterous blasphemy law and accepting support of "electables" such as ASWJ, the political offshoot of the terrorist group Sipah e Sahaba whose leaders openly preach hate and violence against Shias and Ahmedis. For the record, I am a Pakistani. It's great that he has built hospitals and universities but please don't overlook his very serious shortcomings.
Let's not forget about his impulsive and narcissistic nature. Either way I hope he proves me wrong and does our country good although I doubt it.

I dont know much about Imran Khan's politics, BUT he was a great cricketer and self made. unlike Donald Trump. I love your shows Trevor, but I have heard Imran Khan speak to the BBC and its not the same as listening to Trump. He could have sat back after he retired from cricket, a millionaire and he chose to get into politics and from the BBC interview, I inferred, his party actually has been in politics for a while, this is not his first political experience!
