I think it’s really cool they kept the theme of both Tamer lockdown and Digisoprtion alive in the support. If theres ever a 2020 adventure themed set, really curious to see what kind of support Argo gets
I've been finding top end Grankuwagamon ACE and slotting in Alliance Lopmons have been pretty killer for this deck. I really enjoy playing it tribal with just a few extra rookies and level 6s. The fact that The Level 5 Argomon's inheritable is generic, can make Grankuwaga or Alliance Argo 4 checks for 1 Rhythm, 6 checks if you have 2 17(Lv5) Argomons underneath. The issue with the deck right now is every deck bounces for removal, so it's recursion suffers bigtime as you always need a lower level out to do anything to AncientGaruru. I kind of wish the level 6 Argomon had Fortitude or even just something more akin to Galactic.
This deck actually pretty successfully counters Hybrids and Imperialdramon even if it loses to a lot of other midtier decks but even if just for that I would love to play it just to bully people
Argomon is a FUN deck. It's not good. But it is fun. I might even use it as an engine for a budget silly Zanbamon deck in BT18; since lv5 Argomon is one of a few purple cards that allows unsuspension; and Zanbamon can actually do some real damage. At one point due to de-digivolve shenanigans i made a 12 card Argomon stack. It immediately got blown up by removal after that but silly. All the other Argomons are pretty bad anyway; so Zanbamon can be your alternative lv6 and a wincon with multiple swings and potentially Sec+1 or even +2. Grape Memory Boost also fixes the green argo old stuff purple Zanba stuff. Also yeah Argomon 5 is legitimately good. The whole tamer stun thing is a reference to the movie too; where Argomon puts all the humans to sleep. The cards for the deck are dirt cheap so once BT18 Zanbamon comes out I'll probobly build a silly fun deck using Argomon as an engine. I've also tried a green base Argomon deck with a lot of searcher cards like Kunemon to bulk out to increase the consistency. Also the meta is going to be blue dominated and digimon reliant on On Deletes cry in blue metas as they get laughted back to the hand or stunned and ignored. Argomon does counter Shoto-Mother however. Stops Shoto unsupending to give Mother blocker, and even if you play a new one; Argomon 6 if you digivolve into it is usually big enough to just outright swing over Mother.
LV5 Argomon is such a good card that I saw random decks playing it, probably for the evo reduction and as a floodgate. LV6 Argomon would have been so much better if the level increase was for every argo and not every 2, a prime example of an overbalanced card stuck in a underpowered archetype. Rythym on the other hand is surprinsingly decent despite her cost. Getting one or two out in the first turns accelarate your plays so much, I don't mind paying the premium
Ive been trying out a malomyotismon top end as a second lv6 and running its tamer. If you can suspend the tamer lv5 atgo you can get a free malomyotismon. Can also run win rate 60% to add stuff to trash and reduce all of your costs
I love Argomon so much, its such a huge disappointment that they released what seems like just half the deck and have not finished support for it several sets later. Hoping it becomes playable in bt20.
not Meta obviously, but with the help of st17 terriermon deck for support and secondary line the argomon deck is actually good. terrier helps bring tamer for 2 cost, lop gives alliance wich also triggers tamer effect, both rapidmon lvl4 and lvl5 have nice/useful effects and are target for the megagargo ace that stuns (in most cases) enemy field giving time for a comeback.
some effects/changes that would be nice to have? some way of protection for removals other than deletion, rhythm cost down to 3 or lvl4 tamer set effect be like liberators line (if you have 1 or less tamers, play one)

Fun fact in Japanese Gargomon and MegaGargomon are actually called Galgomon and SaintGalgomon!
Also fun fact, Argomon is called Algomon!!
Out of 17 people for eco cup I made it to top 3 with Argomon😊

F### the meta. I just wanna play with my son.

This is a deck that honestly is only missing one more wave of support to be playable.

Only reason I would play this deck is for the cute tamer.
Anyone got a good list for argomon?
FIRST!!!
Sadly this deck not good, it does have a niche against hybrids, if we ever go back to hybrid meta, this can shine
