- Blue Star Line chairman Clive Palmer announced today that design plans for Titanic ll were being finalised.
“We are very pleased to announce that after unforeseen global delays, we have reengaged with partners to bring the dream of Titanic ll to life. Let the journey begin,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“The government lockdowns sent the cruise industry into a long-term shutdown but shipping is back in full business with passenger numbers now surpassing pre-COVID levels.
“We are getting the best ship-builders, designers and engineers in the world back on deck to build Titanic ll,’’ Mr Palmer said.
The project enjoys the continued support of world -leading, Finnish-based ship design and marine engineering company Deltamarin.
Deltamarin has undertaken a review of the Titanic II project ensuring the vessel will be compliant with all current safety and construction regulations as well as meeting Blue Star Line’s design criteria.
Other global partners include V.Ships Leisure who will be responsible for project support, building supervision and ship management services; and Swedish marine architecture and interior design company Tillberg Design, whose portfolio includes classic ocean liners Queen Elizabeth 2 and Queen Mary 2.
“Blue Star Line will create an authentic Titanic experience, providing passengers with a ship that has the same interiors and cabin layout as the original vessel, while integrating modern safety procedures, navigation methods and 21st century technology to produce the highest level of luxurious comfort,’’ Mr Palmer said.
“We are bringing in some of the best designers in the world for cruise shipping to make sure nothing is overlooked and we have a specification that is far, far superior than the original Titanic. It will be the ship of love and the ultimate in style and luxury,’’ Mr Palmer said.
“The essence of this venture is to offer passengers an unparalleled journey back in time, immersing them fully in the opulence and splendour of life aboard the original Titanic, thus bridging a century with a voyage of unparalleled elegance,’’ he said.
The ship will follow the original journey, carrying passengers from Southampton to New York, but she will also circumnavigate the globe, inspiring and enchanting people while attracting unrivalled attention, intrigue and mystery in every port she visits.
Titanic ll will weigh approximately 56,000t, comprise nine decks and will be designed to recreate the grandeurs of its namesake. The vessel will have an overall length of 269m and a width of 32.2m. It will feature 835 cabins including 383 1st class, 201 2nd class and 251 3rd class rooms, catering for up to 2,435 passengers.
The new ship will feature modern technology and the latest navigation and safety systems.
Titanic-II will also feature an exact replica of The Bridge as it was in the original ship, which will be the vessel’s navigational control centre designed and configured to modern standards and regulations. It will provide a complete view of the forward and sides of the ship, from where directions and instructions will be communicated to the engine room, as well as other areas across the vessel.
Titanic II will be powered by a diesel engine and will feature four smoke stacks like the coal-powered Titanic.
“In 1912 the Titanic was the ship of dreams. For over a century Titanic’s legend has been powered by mystery, intrigue and respect for all she stood for,’’ Mr Palmer said.
“Titanic ll something that needed to be built. We all know how to make war. We get armies and we fund wars. People know about that. But it is a lot harder to make peace. To make peace you have got to stick with it every day. You progress inch by inch.
“Titanic ll is something that can provide peace. It can be a ship of peace between all countries of the world.
“Millions have dreamt of sailing on her, seeing her in port and experiencing her unique majesty. Titanic ll will be the ship where those dreams come true,’’ Mr Palmer said.

I knew the dream would still live on! 10 years ago I believed it.... and now 10 years later I still do! Welcome back Palmer! I'm still saving up to the dream to making it when Titanic II is build and for her voyage in 2027.

Get partnership with other big companies to help you find the ship construction.
I dont know too much about marketing but parrnering up with other companies to help fund the titanic construction and fundamental neccesities for interior design can be very helpful.
This is more than just a ship, this is history, this is a family ship, this is a change. you're not alone.
Clive Palmer will need to post regular updates the one in China is already half finished. There would also need a live webcam at the construction site or no one will believe him this time.

Feasibility studies were already finished in 2010s. Ship's qualities & safety will be up to date and follow international rules & regulations. She'll be built in line with the largest cruise ship in world, Icon of the Seas, with almost 2 construction years amounting to almost a billion euro as She'll be constructed in Europe
if Titanic II is going to built in Europe then which shipyard would step up to take on the challenge in doing it?
@@Kanefan701 Definitely Chantiers de l'Atlantique: with QM2, they're the only shipyard in the world who have recent experience with building an ocean liner. Of course if H&W are somehow able to do it again that'd be even better, but odds are it won't.

It's been 84 years since this channel last posted anything. Fingers crossed the ship actually gets built this time, and with a clear road ahead, I have a gut feeling that this might be the time.
the time is here, I can feel it. We're nearing 112 years of Titanic's sinking and to have this brings me and many of us a heartfelt feeling that Titanic will return and begin a new life and finish what she started and complete that journey with us in our time to be part of history

It's what is needed instead of people going down to the wreck and poking about, a replica of the Titanic would be it!!

The Titanic project holds greater potential for success as a business venture. The original ship has significant recognition and admiration, while the other two lack a comparable level of prominence. It may not be feasible to proceed with the construction of the other two ships.
I really hope this happens. I've wanted to sail on the Titanic since watching the 1997 movie.
I genuinely hope this is not a deception. I have been eagerly anticipating this ever since its initial announcement in 2012. I was so disappointed when I learned that it would not be happening. Now that it has been announced once again, I cannot help but have some reservations.
I thought of maybe a ship yard it could be built maybe Meyer werft ship yard where cruises are built in Germany

Your decision or proposal to build Titanic II in Harland & Wolff is a poor choice. The shipyard has gone trough a lot of struggles in financing and competition, and they are now in administration/bankruptcy. That alone will drag or slow your project down and wont make any progress.
I suggest to look elsewhere if you all are serious to have the ship ready by 2027.
Here are some potential candidates to build your ship of dreams:
Helsinki Shipyard of Finland.
Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany.
Meyer Turku in Turku, Finland.
Fincantieri of Italy.
Chantiers de L'atlantique of France.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagasaki, Japan.
Brodosplit Shipyard in Croatia.
Please, BSL, look for a suitable shipyard that has experience in building passenger ships.

The Original titanic would cost somewhere near 9 billion usd to build, yours is supposed to be bigger. Ive only seen mention of a couple hundred million invested into the project, since 2012. Ill believe it when i see it. Had very distant family on that ship. It would be cool to experience it. Good day
Mr. Palmer please build it here in Southampton with the help of associations ( like you can take help from liners here like cunard line) it would be great if you build titanic 2 in original titanic's dock and make a maiden voyage on 12 th april , 2027 it will be on history
