I have this one and it smells similar to Chopard Oud Malaki and Penhaligons Halfeti. I have several from the Boucheron line and my favorite is Amber D'Alexandrie. Santal de Kandy is very good too.
Looking forward to a popped the cherry on this one. I like that your diving into high end designer lines other than the usual suspects(dior/Chanel.) I own a handful or so but I'm very interested in these types of hauls especially if you can find them at discounters.
So, I have a small frag collection. Well probably larger than my street, neighbors but not city .in my arsenal I have a 100 ml. Boucher on Pour Homme and it's a date night frag strong but great. I'm currently looking for an oud this definitely on radar thanks.
An interesting first impression, Marc. The only Boucheron that I've tried was the EDP of the classic Jaipur Homme which is quite nice, at least to me, for a classic scent. Apart from that, I haven't looked into any of the Boucheron line. But man, after this and talking about the amber and I did some digging and wow what amazing prices. Only issue is, like you said, it is SO HARD to find samples for this stuff. I found a few and will make a purchase in the coming days to try the Oud and Amber out, but man, you might have stumbled onto something! Keep you posted. Thanks again, man. :)
Jaipur Homme is a very solid oriental spicy fragrance. Not surprised at all that this is a good one if emanates from a higher end collection in the house.
You're right, oud is complex. I've been enjoying a sample of this for about a year now and just sprung for a bottle. Immediately after spraying, I get blueberry. Then heavy incense / spices. Then honey. Somewhere around mid-drydown I get apple pie and spices. Very comforting. It's like what Viktor&Rolf Spicebomb Extreme should have been... and then some... AND much better quality.
@@AndreSpecht Not very, just some overlap. SBE is more sweet and smooth, but BODC has a much more bold spice profile that can be a bit "spikey" yet more complex in it's development.
@@skanksinatra514 probably around 75 or less. I want to give it a few more wearings since it's gotten colder. I bought it on eBay from someone in the states.
Carthage is a city in north Tunisia, if I consider this, I can understand the artistic vibe of the scent. Forget Oud and take attention to incense and honey. The title of this perfume is an interpretation of what Carthage evoke for Mr Ropion.
Great winter fragrance unisex but leans way more feminine, i bought it had to give it to my mother, found it a bit too girly because of the honey tones, ambre d'alexandrie is better balanced than this one IMO

Close to Halfeti?

Intro 3-4 min too Long my friend
always a pleasure to discover fragrances with your way to describe perfume scent. Bravo

Boucheron might not be popular in the US but it is so popular in Europe, Africa , Middle East and Eastern Europe
I have Vanille de Zanzibar. It's a nice vanilla with a fruity citrus opening. Almost close to being gourmand but not quite.

This one is the best from the line alongside Cuir De Venise.
I want that cuir!!
I have it and for me have also patchouli.... very very nice!!!!!!
My curiosity is always piqued when a robes video drops 👀
Great review!
This one sounds pretty good, but I'll be really interested in your thoughts on the amber! Great review, as always, Marc!

How similar to SB Extreme? Love SBE. Thanks

@@RefinerSimilitude Nice. How about the leather note? Thanks, again
@@AndreSpecht Yes, I'll be spraying this in my truck with leather seats this winter to greet me every day when I get in.

I tried looking for the Vanille Zanzibar and had no luck. Id like to know if and where he finds it at or anyone else.
I have a bottle that I'm considering selling. It's only missing around 5ml or so. No box.
@@welfareorphan - if you do decide, how much?
the only place selling it is on ebay and from russia.....
