This episode is actually pretty funny provided you view it ironically and not as an episode that's actually intended to be serious. Not every episode has to take itself seriously as long as its tonally consistent and doesn't try to be goofy and serious at the same time (unlike a certain other star wars show)
As a kid I probably would have hated it just because of that, but I really had fun watching this one lol
Do you mean rebels, resistance or mandalorian?
@@Backfisch5927Rebels fits that description the most at least to me
Nah, clone wars stans will say it’s not a kids show yet for shitty episodes that are incredibly childish they say “it’s a goofy kids show”
@@garliconionshallot well fr parts of it yeah but the malevolence arc and the second half of the ryloth arc are great
I find the humor in this episode fine. I think Jar Jar is one of the characters who improves the most from the films. And Jar Jar demonstrate to be a better "Jedi" than most Jedi, in a sort of drunken master style, clearly a pathway and an ability some consider to be unnatural
I agree, he has so much room to breath in this show and actually be funny. This episode was honestly hilarious to overanalyze
Honestly, there is not one character in this show who wasn’t improved from the films.
@@marctaco2624 100%. The new editions they brought in are the best too, Cad Bane, Hondo, they really spoiled us
@@OveranalyzingStarWars And by the Whills, the way they (literally) remade Maul was incredible.
Wait a minute, you made C3PO say "thank the maker" after Padme said Jar Jar was dead, didn't you?
Did not..😉
@@OveranalyzingStarWars I'd say it
I’m SO excited for this episode! I remember rewatching it and being suprised by how good it was. Plus, you can’t turn down an episode of Overanalyzing Clone Wars
I was surprised that this one is the longest one, by far!
I really like what they did with Jar Jar in this series.
Every time he appears it makes sense that he is there. Him beeing a representative of Naboo and a general often comes up in these situations.
Depending on the situation he sometimes is alot more competent and serious. Like with the Blue Shadow Virus or in that arc where Hondo is introduced.
Whenever he is really clumsy people actually react to this. In Phantom Menace the others just ignore him most of the time and pretend he isn't there.
He's often paired with different characters that have interesting interactions with him. C3PO, Mace Windu, clones, senators...
God him and Mace Windu was such a good one lmao. I love him in this show compared to the movies, he was just boring in them but here he is actually living up to his potential
It’s surprising how well he bounces off other characters when he is actually allowed to.
Is the robe really not Anakin’s? I kinda assumed it was. Seeing as they are married, and it is her ship…
If it looks like Anakin's, smells like Anakin's, it's Obi Wan's.
It's Anakin's
15:53 he's just a gold protocol droid and due to the many alien species within the CIS it makes sense that they would have a few gold protocol droids
I like how 3PO plays off Anakin’s Jedi robes 🤣🤣
Dude is more of a wing man than Obi Wan!
Jar jar is the one who designed the pizza shape of the star destroyers
Went digging for a while and here's what I found. The temperature of Rodia is pretty hot, due to its massive swaths of Jungle and rainforests. because of this, they made giant shields in the shape of domes so they could regulate the temperature. (Apparently one of their PRIMARY exports are bounty hunters, along with weapons technology). Their primary languages are Rodese, Huttese (no idea why), and "Basic." and Basic is just the language of the watcher.
Great episode!
I mean jesus, I wish someone told them about AC units lmfaooo that's really cool though!
To be fair, Huttese is also one of the primary languages of the Twileks. It might be something of a lingua franca in the outer rim. Kinda like how English is a world language but French and Arabic are still more commonly used in particular spheres (Africa and the Muslim world respectively), even as everyday languages. Rhodia probable actually has or had several native languages, just like earth does, and Huttese became an inter language for the planet like it did in for many others in the outer rim.
@@Great_Olaf5 that makes a lot of sense, especially with the amount of prominence the Hutts have in the outer rim
When a video about jar jar being a Jedi is longer then a video about a super weapon and war crimes
I need help
Ah, the Clone Wars. I've rewatched this series 8 or so times. I will watch your channel with great interest.
WE GOT ANOTHA ONE!! Thanks for being here!
9:59 the recently released canon novel queens hope says that the cloke belongs to anakin
I mean there was no way Padme got around the jedi council like that.
unless..
Dude, I love your videos so much!
Im glad you’re never letting that droid necklace go, cuz when me and my partner watched that episode we legit had to pause it to discuss the hypocrisy of it all! We were also beyond convinced Jar Jar is a sith, watching his appearances in this series
Btw, are your streams supposed to show up on your channel’s videos tab? I can see all of your uploads except for the streams, not a single stream shows up. The only way I’ve been able to see them is if I happen to catch them live
Oh damn, thank you for the comment first! I get that it could probably become a problem if like, everyone took home a droid lmfao but still.
Also I feel like I do so many of them that having them all in the uploads section takes up too much room, my ocd can't handle it lmfao. I made a live streams playlist though, you can find them all there! On the channel or in the descriptions I believe
Bit of a Hot Take: Clone Wars redeemed Jar Jar and made him genuinely fun to watch.
17:22 Actually, I would not be surprised if Nute Gunray really did wait 30 seconds after saying "Aim." He hates Padme so much that it makes sense he would savor the moment of finally seeing her die.
It would makes sense if padma is force sensitive bc both her children are strong in the force though that could be just anikan having super genes to pass down
not gonna lie, this episode is a huge guilty pleasure of mine. I love Jar Jar
Me too haha, 3PO and him are hilarious together
13:54 The money shot. :P
Lmfaooo
I’ve started saying “it rhymes” because of this series 💀🤣
YES! By god we've done it
11:02 its centipede class shuttle so the bug like appearance makes sense
I love your videos my guy. you never fail to get a laugh out of me keep up the good work. and have a happy may 4th
Thanks Brandon! Hopefully I'll have something fun for the 4th
I think the spiral screen shows their location within their galaxy.
the super battle droid voice does seem to be different, could be that one that was speaking in Ambush was a regular B2 while the one in this episode is a B2-HA, as identified by the left arm being replaced by a missile launcher, tho the different voice could just be that they wanted this B2-HA to sound more threatening since it's in charge of the B1s.
I think the glass bubbles are their because according to off-worlders rodia has a very bad scent even for a swamp. And we only see in cities/settlements so maybe the keep the smell not as bad for the sake of tourists/business/poilticans
Yikes lmfao. Imagine being a poor Rodian
Ah yes, one of the episodes I never watched before cause as soon as I realized it was a Jar Jar episode I was just "Hell nah" and skipped it
I think I actually skipped this when I made my gf watch the series with me lol, I was surprised how funny it was
I can't get over the creative ways you keep adding in the rhyme joke.
The rodia theme always reminded me of the soundtrack for the movie Troy
A man of fine taste I see!
The Rodians can breathe there atmosphere but the planet is full of dangerous swamp creatures. Rodian are natural hunters though so they can be very violent but up to this point during the clone wars the Rodian people have a central government and I believe these domes are all connected as a full city. Also I'm pretty sure that Huttise is common due to there massive influence on the galaxy.
With all of those farts out there, I'd probably cap my cities too lol.
@@OveranalyzingStarWars wouldn't help humans though. It's said the Rodian have strong pheromones that smell disgusting to humans and other species. The pheromones are apart of a Rodians identity that helped distinguish themselves from the swamp.
Nobody dares mess with Hutt Space. It's a Constant across Legends and Disney Timeline so far.
@@mitchellalexander9162 Massive shady organizations own lives and entire planets, despite their governments technically being there.
Of course that it the one consistency between Lucas and Disney Star Wars.
The red eyes oh my god!
I couldn't help it 😂😂
3:36
Hutteese is to the Star Wars galaxy what Spanish is to the USA. Basic tends to be the default but in some places people speak Hutteese
17:06 LMAO
It's the little things 🤣
9:15 jar jars using his dark side force to confuse u
I like the George Lucas gag
I will never stop making it funnier lmao
Whoa this episode was really good, I can't wait to see how your video's will be like later down the line
Thank you! I can't either, my editing slowly gets easier but I want more. And I know I shouldn't.
So I looked it up and what the gate droids say is "Ah'chu apenkee" which is huttese for "who are you?", now why Amidala would say that im not sure but hey thats just what the internet says.
13:50
She might be. At least a little. Han is.
Damn I missed the notification but C3 PO is amazing. Also the perhaps the monster jar jar tamed had its eyes change due to sith powers?
How the hell did I not put that in the video. This is why I can't be left alone
Where was the Republic when the Westfold fell?
17:07 Further proof of C-3PO being the voice of the collective audience.
How is this 20 minutes!?!?!
I HATE IT
both B1 and B2 battle droids are supposed to be 1.93m tall (6ft 4in). the B2 is supposed to be an uparmoured B1 with new arms. think of the B2 as a B1 in powerarmour.
Jesus I knew they were tall but that alone definitely ups the fear of them for me, imagine lol
Sorry I was late for the premiere but I’m always down for a longer episode! This was really funny and the 3p0 thank the maker edit made me laugh out loud! Great video again dude!
Thanks bro! Appreciate you
I may be wrong but Jar Jar was referred to as general at the end of TFM
Good catch!
I think the domes have the same or a similar purpose as on Mandalore.
I can’t remember correctly but I think he told Padmé something like The Senator awaits you my lady.
Considering Rodia is in the Outer Rim maybe the Hutts were something what the Romans were for the Germans.
Being besties with the Sass droid of Star Wars had to influence C-3PO some way.
No idea why but back in the day I thought it was Qui-Gon‘s Cape in a way for Padmé to remember his sacrifice on Naboo or something. That it was Anakin‘s or Quinlan’s was also a thought of mine but I liked the Qui-Gon one a little more.
The B2s Are actually taller than the B1s but only about 2 Centimetres.
Padmé being like: Shut up 3PO they don’t care…
The eyes of the beast might change depending on the environment or mood state.
4:02 where was the republic when the westfold fell?
Count Dooku remembers
ahhh shit couldn't make it to the premiere. Good shit OSW!
No worries my dude, thank you!
Darth Jar Jar
"They rhyme"
Dopamine and jar jar is a sith
I love you
12:37 Um whose gonna tell him...?
Wait what? Lol estates can still get paid. Idk about his family though or what goes on with that, but it would suck if it's just like "Yeah he had some good stuff, let's just grab it and use it now" you know? IF that's what you mean
@@OveranalyzingStarWars Lol that's true. The way you phrased it made it seem like you didn't know he was dead. RIP
Riven link won't work :(
I don’t know if this is still (or was ever) cannon…but according to a video talking about every R-series droid (this one ua-cam.com/video/QppVzGPpOsM/v-deo.html), R2 units are actually the most advanced, or at least the most all-purpose and/or successful
15:51 Uhhh...well...DROID STEALTH!
Jedi mind trick, my guess
Good lord I despise the Darth Jar-Jar theory...
Lmao me too. I mean obviously it could have worked, if that was the plan from episode 1 but that would probably need a cut of like half of jar jar's antics
1:06 have anakin use the force
That's what I'm talkin about
Jar Jar is a the key to all this.
tHeY rHyMe
Darth Jar Jar!
He is the key to everything
Mesa the Senate!
Ottawa is the capital of canada
I actually quite like the Jar Jar episodes, save for that time they DEFEATED GREIVOUS SOMEHOW
To be fair, Grevious couldn't kill Ahsoka in the multiple times they fought. This show really screwed Grevious over compared to Clone Wars 2003.
I didn't like the two Jar Jar episodes in season 6, but that was mostly because Mace Windu was in it. If it had been a single episode of Jar Jar meeting Mother Talzin, I might have liked it.
@@taelim6599 grievous's fight with her was him holding back. Hell he even single wields against her and when he uses all four sabers, she fled.
And grievous underestimates the gungans heavily.
Everytime grievous flees is when he knows he is gonna die if he stays. He's extremely important to ending the war. Him, dooku, and gunray are the ones needed to be eliminated to end the war.
Did everyone in the fandom forget Phantom Menace? The Gungans HARD COUNTER the droids, outnumbered or not. As skilled as Grevious is he’s not going to last long against guys who make literally balls of Ion.
@@Nephalem2002 Agreed. The Gungan army is specifically prepared against droids. And Grievous' defeat still required the sacrifice of General Tarpals.
bombad jedi > siege of mandalore arc
Senator Armstrong, you ARE a bold one
But... Disney didn't own starwars for the first 6 seasons of CW.... This is all cartoon network, Lucas & Davr Filoni
Yes, hence my comment "I know this was well before disney" lol
@@OveranalyzingStarWars Well, in that case... Shhhh Nothing happened here
@@haydoy2218 🤣🤣after the fact I really thought about it and of course they are, Dave and most of the team are still there. I may just be a little hard on Disney, but I do hope that his estate or something still gets the credit for his amazing contributions
deeee raaaiiim
As much effort as they put into her chest hips and legs why does the arms and shoulders look weird?
Yeah some of these character's arms freak me out lmao
I hated this episode.
I'm not gonna lie, I used to think I did too but for overanalyzing I had so much fun with this one lol
my brain completely deleted that Jar Jar talks to farts part from my mind, and for good reason lmao
I could have never imagined it was that long. I tried so hard to keep the whole thing but it was so long copyright said no whey
