Like pay, equipment, can they match you with a partner, do they have good cross country lanes for teams etc; appreciate anything you can find out. Looking seriously at going with Marten. I got a little over 6 months experience with Schneider and no permanent residence so I can domicile wherever my partner is but prefer Southern California.
Wow we have a larger terminal in jurupa Valley CA and they run a lot of lanes out of there I know guys that run Phoenix to LA north west region I-5 lanes so. Cal.to Washington so many opportunities out of so. I started on north west regional stayed a lot in the mountains in Washington Utah Oregon and the wait times on loading was long so 80% of the time I got my minimum pay of 1400 a week and i was 3 weeks out I didn't really care for it so they told me they have alot of different opinions so they offered me this one

I've been driving for PTL for going on 2 years now. Today is January 12th 2023 June 1st 2023 will make 2 years. Last year I made just over 51k Averaged about 1k a wk. Fucked most of it off in casinos...which I am NOT gonna do this year. But Im thinking about moving around. It's just gettin to be too much drama. Too much to mention. Main reason I wanted to work here is because of the ESOP. Bur I read that Marten offers ESOP too. I wish I had known that I would've been there a year ago. I hate to burn almost 2 years but if I don't move around now it'll be 4 years.. If Marten really guarentees 1350/1400 weekly. 70k-75k a year? Like they say they do on Google. Which I know PTL lies on Google. Talkin about 5k-7500 sign on bonus. That's a damn lie. I was suppose to get 2500 and I swear they only gave me 2 but whatever. They also say their drivers get between 2500-3000 miles a week. That is also false. I average about 18-2300 miles a week last several months. Maybe once a month you'll get 2800-3200. Sometimes back to back weeks. But like clockwork, soon as you get a couple good checks or one good one? You can beleive your next check won't be shit. So it kinda balances out. Anyway.. Don't believe everything you read on Google. You in for a sad surprise if you do. Word to ya Granny
Have a question regarding the guarantee…what’s the stipulations in receiving that?…are they pretty good at keeping trucks preplanned and moving as much as possible?.
Do your paperwork correctly turn it in right away And say if you go home for a reset you will get your Guarantee pay pretty much do what you are supposed to it's easy And Marten they always have loads many loads Sometimes they've preplanned me if not when I empty out I may have to wait anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes to get a load but they have plenty of work
@@charleethetrucker Sounds a lot better than the 6 hours it sometimes takes to get a load here at Covenant if something happened and your load was canceled or someone else picked it up( side note is that a normal thing? Someone else from your company picking up a load you were assigned? I've had that happen 2 or 3 times in my 9 months here)... God forbid something happens with my dedicated route and heaven help you if its after office hours or on the weekend.
@@charleethetrucker My application for Marten just got accepted today I'm thinking about making the jump. I'm a chill guy and will put up with a lot but it's getting to be just not worth it. I'm in my 4th truck in 9 months and after two days its back at the dealership. A couple days ago I get towed to a dealer, and pick up a "fixed" truck there with more problems. Communication is terrible, you have to re-explain your problem every time you talk to someone, and its 45 minutes on hold every time you call during which twice this week the call was cut off. If you call back you're on hold in line again only once did the lady call me back said their system went down. I don't know what our fleet team actually does because you have to figure everything out yourself. They're just a phone exchange to give you a number of someone else to call. And once the person you were dealing with goes home for the day you have to start over. The new person doesn't even know you were having an issue. Its just crazy to me I don't know how they make any money. Is this normal with every company? Plus my co-drivers keep quitting I'm on my 3rd. It took them two days to get me a solo load to go back to the terminal to find a new partner this last time. Then the load they gave me was a high value for team only which I found out when I called for the security briefing and after I told the fleet team irc wouldn't let me run it for the stated reason they were surprised and it took another 2 hours to even confirm I wasn't allowed to run it and they took me off... The only time I've even asked for hometime was when my co-drivers had to go home so I put in my time to match theirs. I just want to be a solo otr driver with a dedicated route. Is that too much to ask for?

@@charleethetrucker I live right outside Tampa. I’ve ran a ton of Coca Cola loads along with Tyson, Blue Bunny, Purdue , Del Monte out of port Tampa along with Tropicana as well. Usually ran a triangle route from Auburndale,Fl(Coca Cola) to Hopkins,MN , then picked up a load from Tyson to Houston or Ft Worth area. Then a load back to Fla.
