1.Do you think that the game was made longevity in mind? 2. Are any additional stands planned or just let alone ones that aren't really seen on similar jojo games on the sight (I.E The fool or something like echoes)
Hi, will there be some changes to the 1v1 matchmaking in the future? As for now, practically every game I am have wait too much ping to be able to play and react to attacks (1 second of lag for any move), or it's the enemy that have way too much ping making it not enjoyable too. I know that there are not enough players right now to put a matchmaking based on region right now (I guess), but could this be an option later? For exemple I know a game that have an option for players to choose if they want to be matched with anybody for quicker waiting time, or if they want to be only able to be matched with people from the same region only for longer waiting but good ping garanteed. Maybe this could be an option ?

seeing eclipse this optimistic is honestly a really nice breath of fresh air. hoping to see this genre(?) go places even though i've already made my peace with it
I think its because one focuses on visual appeal more, which is the main reason why games made by bigger companies are easier to pick up, because they look stunning. Like think for a sec why skins are popular, its because it makes someone look cooler in that one game, and hence YBA is more of a trading simulator than a fighting game.
this is exactly what i was going to say. before eclipses videos on TCA, i joined the game to see what it was like. 10 minutes later i left because it just didnt look good. the gui was crude and i thought it was just a YBA clone. eclipses videos made me give it a second time and i now play it semi-frequently
I decided to give TCA a chance the other week because of your videos. In the very short amount of time I've played (probably only about 5 hours in total) I already reached the max level, obtained Made in Heaven (which actually bothers to use effects and voicelines from the Anime), and gotten skins for The World and Star Platinum. Comparing that to YBA where doing the exact same things would take me at least quadruple the time it felt like a breath of fresh air. Perhaps my favourite moment is rolling The World (my favourite stand in JoJo) for the first time after getting the 10 stand arrows from Jotaro and not only discovering that it _isn't_ a broken mess left only as a stepping stone to another objectively more powerful stand, but that a SPTW like evolution would be added into the game later down the line alongside TWOH (with my favourite colour scheme for it as its base form no less which won't be locked behind a terrible, messy rendition of it as a skin) was my deciding factor to stick with the game. I still sometimes play YBA if I want to play stands that aren't in the game yet like TA4 but the moment TCA adds all of those stands in, I'm leaving that dumpster fire behind.
This is only like one part of the whole thing you said but the reason YBA "doesnt bother" to use effects from the anime is because it was, yk, added before the anime adaptation of p6 was thing. YBA is eventually going to rework WS, Cmoon, and MIH though which then I assume will make it a lot higher qaulity. It could even be relatively soon cuz the remodels for ws and cmoon have already come out and the mih remodel has been leaked.
@@Vinnare That's not an excuse. They could very easily update all of that, especially now that the new VAs have voicelines outside the anime itself thanks to ASBR. They just don't out of laziness.
7:15 Sbr is literally the reason I haven’t quit yba yet, that gamemode is just so unique and fun, people don’t give it enough credit. Like it’s so awesome to randomly come across some dude getting beat up in a desert, help them and then proceed to team up and take on the rest of the server together. There’s just nothing like it in any other roblox jojo game. Some of my most fun times on yba have been in sbr
Exactly. SBR is a gift to mankind, it's honestly insane imagining a battle royale where being last one standing isn't the only way. If it had more mevhanics and options this gamemode would be better than any battle royale in existence

Well just gonna state the obvious, the reason it gets so much hate is because of the hackers that ruined the gamemode for so long. Obviously the hackers died down and its much more fun now but it still just left a bad image in most peoples eyes so a lot less people will actually give it a shot.
I mean, there's really not much to say that's not already been said. The reason YBAs skins "problem" is so out of hand is because of the constant content droughts. It's all people have to do, and the longer the game doesn't add real content, the more players who are just there for that either turn to skins, or quit
@@EclipseGameplays The funny thing is that the player count dropped once they stopped adding skins to YBA. The old players left once the game started revolving around skins, and the skin farmers left once there were no more skins to farm for.
I played TCA because of your content, the only problem is that i live in AUS so i'm gonna have 200+ ping when i join public servers. other than that i went through the hell of getting the 18 1v1 wins for TWOH while having 400 ping. game was fun.
As a fellow Australian I feel your pain, If the game had more players then we could join and fight people in our region rather than having to play in US or Asian servers. Would make getting twoh much easier.
EXACTLY. Exact same problem in YBA too. SBR, 1v1’s, none of these things are fun in 400 ping, and it’s the worst that we have to do these gamemodes to obtain stands.
@@EclipseGameplays Any idea if the devs can implement a system that allows you to queue with other players in certain regions for 1v1's? Even just displaying the region/ping for sbr servers when they release would be awesome too.
While i do think TCA has a bright future , the main reason people still play yba is just due to the diversity of stands and specs , Tca becomes very boring after you complete the storyline and get the stand you want. On the map part: I prefer the tca map due to the fact its much easier to learn it compared to the yba map,every building looks. Gamemodes: YBA has better gamemodes, TCA has pretty boring gamemodes. yba's 1v1s just feel much smoother than tca's 1v1s Updates: As a HW main, i must agree that hw was one of the easiests stands to use due to just being able to throw out moves Visual effects: Honestly , YBA has much better effects but its indeed extremely annoying barely being able to see due to how many effects are on the screen. Animations: Most of TCA's stands feel up to date ,YBA's stands feel like a mess of animations , we have animations like beach boy while we have stuff like scary monster Transparency: As a TCA tester , the tca staff is very friendly and will actually try to help you out.On the yba part i cant comment due to the fact im not active at all in the YBA discord Content: Yba has way more stands and specs , gamemodes aswell,But TCA indeed has potential to beat yba Potential: TCA updates every month or so ,while yba takes 5 months for a single stand to come out. Conclusion: While i do like tca , i must say i do prefer yba due to the fact it feels much smoother. Great video eclipse❤

i like tca more since... tca feels more like yba than yba currently does. i know its weird but the simple vfx and models and the great combat make it more engaging. yba feels like it lost its soul
I can't get used to the combat in TCA, however I do enjoy watching you play it. (even though it's super similar to yba's) I loved the combat of yba back then, when the spec's were still "normal", but now I can't even play that.
Old habits die hard I guess lol! I mean you can tell from my god awful YBA gameplay that I just never even tried to adapt my gameplay as YBAs combat turned into "just press buttons" so playing TCA was just like riding a bike
9:50 there's clearly an argument to be made here about how less complexity and fidelity in your graohics can help you convey things better, like the reusing of the old break effect in perfect parries, as it was quite literally a reverse block break, even in color. Or in the explosions, which were simplistic but effective on showing their range.
Great vid! Unfortunitly, you forgot to put subway serfers on the side so the yba people wouldn't fall asleep, now they will never see it and open their 1st eye.
I really enjoy TCA, I thought it was a ton of fun when I binged it! I really think the issue is lack of stands and maybe some VFX. I’d play the game more but life’s busy. But if there was a cool Halloween event, or maybe a big update I think that could do great.
Old YBA was honestly so much fun. It kinda sucks to see how much it's digressed from it's actual combat to just make attacks look cooler. Despite that, great memories made from playing this game so I probably won't completely abandon it.
I just watch your videos to support you even if I don't play the games, its just always interesting to hear you praise a game, hate on a game, enjoy a game, or play it with your friends :)
I will never forget how I managed to get the last piece of the corpse to get MIH in YBA. I went into SBR solo and used the world to go on top of the walls to avoid everyone until that last part, then it was down to 3 people including me, there was an Anubis with pluck and a magician’s red. They weren’t able to knock me off my horse and I ran around till the bridge opened and got 1st. Last time I had fun playing YBA
Not related to my original comment but just a side note that is sort of related to the video, so there is this game called build a boat, I really enjoy it but there is just one thing I don’t like about the people who run it. I told the discord about a bug that had been in the game for multiple months and still exists in the game to this day, I think it’s been a year and it still hasn’t been fixed. But guess what some dev said to me, “wait for the next update” so I did, and guess what, wasn’t fixed at all. They lied directly to my face and still haven’t fixed it after a year. Their game is amazing but the way they handle things just isn’t all there.
I remember the days back when I was beyond awful, and had nobody to play with. I wanted to get GER so bad, so I'd hide in the tents until stage 3, and then gun it. Used stand jump and plucks old aerial ace to cheese out the win. No matter what they do to the game, those memories will never leave us
I remember when I was trying to get MiH for the first time - at least a bit. I'd had the same C-Moon for about 2-3 months when they added the Heaven update (I was stoked to see the player count shoot up and see a bunch of C-Moons running around). The process of getting the corpse parts was fun, but not too interesting to talk about; just regular SBR gameplay. I do remember one guy giving me the left arm, though, which made me super excited since it was the last part I needed. I later beat DIO:OH and SO Jotaro and got MiH after about 2 months. I continued to play YBA consistently for another year or so, before eventually shifting away from it as the game became more skin-heavy and less fun. I still have that same MiH in my Stand Storage. I think the reason the game stopped being fun was because of the lack of new content and eventual squandering of the combat. I'm gonna try TCA so I can get some of that fun that I had back in old YBA.
I remmeber I was the 3rd last person in SBR. I didn’t have my horse but the last two had horses. They then claimed their prizes. I knew they would try to kill me, so I hid in those black pillars at the sides of the final road. They walked by me and I rushed to the end and won
In updates you forgot to mention the super important yba emergency sKiN updates (If you couldn't tell a skin which you can't see in an average combo is more important than a 1 shot 2 move combo).
Won't lie, I don't think I've ever been more frustrated with a developer than when they came back solely to patch a skin dupe during the content drought, and then couldn't be bothered to fix TA4s infinite combo for a MONTH
I actually tried TCA a bit ago and I enjoyed it a lot. It's simple but that's what I like about it. The map is a nice size, the stands have a decent amount of moves, the combat is fun, and there's still more in the game that I haven't got around to trying yet like the specs and other game modes. Overall, I just enjoy the game for what it is.
The reason tca has A LOT less players is because dopamine.dopamine is a centre is the brain that makes us feels good such was when we eat junk food we creat dopamine. Tca doesn’t have crazy graphics and is simple but the combat is amazing but people don’t want that , people want a bunch of graphics ands cool effects and to win by mashing buttons, people don’t want to use skill they just want to button mash and see cool effects and win, this creates dopamine so people keep coming back and back and back and back. And that’s the reason y a is so popular and tca isnt
actually,good combat+ good effects and game being simple is way better then good combat mid effects or good effects bad combat. look at the strongest battlegrounds
i dont share the opinion, the visuals play a role but i feel its more in game identity and conveying information to the player, how combat feels and your options play a large role even more so the first stand you get, yba had a lot of stands that id consider "beginner friendly" that are often simple to a fault that eased people in, Mr.President, Sticky Fingers, Aerosmith, The Hand, Crazy Diamond (the old one), Scary Monsters (old),each of them had honestly simple movesets that were of varied utility TCA's stands are all more complex with counters, projectiles, stuns and a more complex game plan than others which in theory isnt bad but its just a lot of options to instantly be thrust into not knowing whats good or not to go for when you first join and have limited points to work with, paired with a cast of stands a third the size of yba and almost all humanoids that people new just end up feeling lost which i feel is why people asked for that tca beginners guide from eclipse
Ngl if TCA would add a SBR mode or any type of battle royale mode I would definitely play it a lot more. As of rn I just really think it lacks stands which while yes it will change in the future *we are living in the present.*

I watch these videos because im interested oin seeing games i never played, and enjoy watching you actually have fun. I guess i just dont want to start a whole new game yet
when i tried out the game, it was great, the issue i had with the game was the performance issues. My current assumption is either server region limits or just my personal issue, but i have an average of 300-500 ping in TCA servers.
If the player count is low, odds of finding a sever in a low population region are even lower. And unfortunate side effect that can only be remedied by the game being more popular
I had thought about this since the vampirism ''rework'' but a way to kinda stop those extreme combos or having to know what 20 keys do could be to add a move limit so you can only have x moves both on specs and stands. Anyway Uzu will never do anything that has the word balance in it and I don't even play YBA anymore so, just an idea (that probably many people already talked about).
1:00 I still feel like it's more because many people aren't willing to play another game to get the max level all over again for a game that doesn't have as much content as YBA even if the grinding is way shorter
Eclipse the reason why TCA isnt getting any players is because its the same as yba just more balanced and less content + most jojo games are unpopular if not advertised by other roblox youtubers such as yourself
To be honest I just watch your videos because I'm a fan of your personality in general I'm really not that interested in jojo games but you somehow make them fun to watch so yeah
1:40 this is one of my biggest complaints with how YBA was when I stopped playing it. I remember the days when you could pair any spec with almost any stand and have a comprehensible idea of what you’re doing. Nowadays every spec and stand that releases has like at least 8 moves each and so the investment of time you need to put into mapping your key binds, learning them + combos takes away from the original fun and simplicity old YBA had. I appreciate the effort they go into making these high quality stands and the impressive graphics design, but from a gameplay perspective the dynamic between old & new move-sets have way too big of a contrast. Personally, I just wish stands released with less moves so there’s a bigger emphasis on unique play styles and skill rather than just mashing inputs…
Fr why do specs need to be so complicated now and have so much more moves. A spec should just be there to enhance your stand not be a standalone thing that can practically be used without needing a stand.
i really agree with this one right here. i remember challenging myself by having a slot dedicated to just randomly using an arrow and pairing it with whatever spec i happened to have to just run into 1v1s and try it out. and when i had the itch to do it again, i'd just roka whatever i had in that slot and reroll a new stand. i discovered a ton of cool synergies that way but with how over-complicated things are now you really don't have that level of flexibility anymore.

Boxing was for damage and stun Hamon was boxing but a bit more complicated and more for damage Vampire was for stun and winning in the short game And pluck was for combos and being similar to a actual moveset Spin was for range and combo starting

YBA wants to maximize its player count and get as much money as possible (because Uzu has either lost all of his self respect or lost his passion for the game) while TCA wants to make a good game.
Real reason why people play YBA more than TCA or any other Jojo game. People just don't wanna start all over again to be max level when you could just play YBA where you have been max level for years and have all these skins and stands that you don't want to start all over again, this is why most battlegrounds games do so well, they don't have leveling systems and grinding in the game thus making people enjoy the game more because they already have the powers that they need and all they need to do is learn how to fight

I ain’t gonna lie, TCA looks more fun in video than it actually is when playing yourself, also the fact that everything in the game looks small like the map and character scale could be a turn off for people
This actually relates so hard as back in the day I was all in for Jojo games.from abd and old aut then from old yba,aut:nu,crusaders heaven,world of stands on its beta,tb2, RIU and much more.but ever since yba has been reworking the specs and the realization that yba has bearly any content other then sbr.i didint had the motivation play Jojo games at all cuz I thought to myself that all these Jojo games keeps on getting made but then in a couple of months it will eventually die or it will feel repetitive and it will repeat itself over and over again.
yba combat is too volatile, where 1 mistake usually always leads to you getting at least 50% health combod. tca combat requires more effort to net those big combos, so most of the time you lose HP to footsie situations instead. more mix ups and winning neutral is needed, which makes it more fun because you get more chances and it feels more skillful when you mix the opponent correctly 6 times rather than 2-3
I think one reason that people don't play TCA much (including myself) is that the games optimization isn't that great for lower end devices which most people who are on mobile/watch your videos probably have lower end PCs and sometimes the lag can get frustrating and keeping players from actually enjoying the game, just something I thought upon
as soon as u posted ur first tca video I checked it out and I didn't like it ar first but I eventually warmed up to it way more than I could ever do to yba great idea to make this video to pull people out of the yba wormhole
Tbh with you, the quality difference in terms of combat between the MIH rework when I made my first video, and the 6P addition is staggering. I wish I'd known, I would have waited.
Great video Eclipse. In my opinion, I don't know why people haven't made the swap. Personally, I'm just not interested in YBA or TCA anymore, but I do believe that TCA is the better game, and if it keeps up, will easily surpass YBA. Unless TCA adds Tusk, Ball Breaker, or Scary Monsters. Then I'll probably join without hesitation. Regardless, I did try it and like it, but I just don't have as much fun with it as some other games.
People just like what they know, and don't think too hard about it. Most people don't consider the fact that by constantly supporting YBA, they're actively hurting the entire Roblox Jojo genre
Its because people just don't want to grind again for max level or for the best stands, this is why battlegrounds games are so popular now because of them not having a grinding system

I play TCA a good bit, but I disagree with the point of "staff are normal people". I killed someone in the game, and an admin literally just stuck me in place and jumped me over and over again.
I played a bit of TCA the other night, and it started out great! I reminded me a lot of the good days of YBA and I genuinely enjoyed it. Then I realized I had beat the entire game in 30 minutes more or less. :/ What I feel the game needs right now is a longer story with maybe a way to make some stands harder to get? I literally started with Whitesnake and The World immediately.. I’m not gonna say YBA is necessarily better, but I’m my opinion YBA has a little bit more to do than TCA. (Tbf, my game time on TCA is really only like 2 hours, so maybe I’m missing something.)
Just try out a bunch of stands, some stands like twoh can require a bit a grinding, or simply play the game and have fun, you don’t need a grind to have fun. I like that story is short because it means you can fight people a lot easier.
A big point in yba’s favor is simply the fact that it’s an older game. It’s been around for multiple years, in which time it’s fleshed itself out to where it is now. Tca, on the other hand, is a new game that hasn’t had the time to flourish and grow like yba did(I don’t know when tca officially released so take this with a grain of salt). As time passes, tca will get better and better as the developers work on the game. Will it defeat the titan known as yba, though? Only time will tell.
great video man, I've personally fallen out of love with roblox jojo, I still watch your content. I think its just time until TCA is recognized as a better game. I haven't been playing it due to a lack of content but, the mosh-pit gamemode is definitely a step in the right direction.

7:06 this clips proves your point perfectly. While you are trying to get near the Scary Monster dude to m1 him, he is literally just running until he can get all of his moves back and try to combo you again. Now comparing, TCA's combat is just way better to play, it fells really smooth. Also I started playing this game because of your videos, so I am not part of those guys who didn't give the game a chance.
The same thing with the scary monsters happens to me when I'm fighting six pistols. I chase them, they run back and get salami until they do over half of my health in a combo.
@@EvenMoreMoney the good thing is that people think its trash so only a few actually use it. The bad thing is that "a few" comparated to TCA's playercount is actually a lot.
Honestly I would love to play TCA, but there's one problem that's stopping me from doing so. First off I'm a mobile player, so what I'm about to say relates to mobile. Alright, so the one problem that's stopping me from playing TCA is how the buttons work (nothing wrong with the placement) but when pressing a button, it Roblox counts it as a finger being on the screen in terms of moving the screen around, so when trying to turn your screen while pressing buttons to use moves and whatnot, you can't turn your screen because roblox will think there's two fingers on Yeh screen and it'll start zooming in and out instead of turning. Other then that, I have no problems with TCA, the game looks really fun. But as it stands, that problem makes the game in ten literal sense, unplayable. Considering you're in the testing team, if possible could you notify devs of this, because I would honestly love to play the game, but I can't.
I found tca on its release and to put it frankly I enjoyed it! At the time I was watching you play yba and I was like "I would love to see eclipse play tca" and I come back to your channel 1 month later and see this! 😂
To be fair, i just don’t roblox compared to other games atm, I’m working on playing through baldurs gate, elden ring and a few others, i just appreciate the content as its enjoyable and well, its cool to see the game discussed if I’m interested later.
I've played both YBA and TCA, I feel that the m1s in TCA are easier to land compared to YBA where you co Stanly try to break your m1 button. Also the game is constantly being balanced but few stands being nerfed to the ground by making almost every move blockable is my only problem with TCA. The devs really did a good job and I hope the game succeeds and gets more players.
Here after seeing YBA staff yapping in sub announcements about everything you said, trying to defend the fact that the staff team aren’t transparent and the staff are ‘fine’. In my experience I have never seen the staff in any of the public chats interacting with the community besides when they are punishing somebody, the only thing I see them do is constantly fill sub announcements and polls with shitposts and other garbage we don’t need to see, which basically defines your point about them not taking feedback even more, instead of taking the feedback from the video, they’ve gone to publically whine about it in sub announcements where the public can see and majority will agree with them because.. they’re staff.
yba’s combat system kinda carries tbh, i’d jump ship to anything else if something else had a combat system greater than or equal to yba’s in just how good it is
I think the main flaw of YBA is the fact that there are just too many moves. I personally don’t have an issue with it, but that’s because I play A LOT of fighting games, and I’m just used to it. YBA’s playerbase consists mostly of children who haven’t touched a fighting game outside of Smash Bros. The general casual audience of Roblox isn’t going to get nearly the same enjoyment out of it as someone who is already experienced with fighting games. And what makes it worse is the fact that because there are so many moves, new players are going to get absolutely demolished in 1v1s due to how much damage just one combo does. TCA just has a much better understanding of the casual audience than YBA, and I think that is what is going to eventually (and hopefully) skyrocket it’s popularity.

U got me to play tca and it was soooo fun the grinding was short and the final boss was fun plus the theme song was good i had so much fun ganking bosses with my friend's plus the 1v1s was get this b-b-b-balanced yba could never anyway tca is a great game and i recommend it.
For me i think the main reason im not attached into TCA is because, its practicly YBA but all over again with some upgrades, Its like i like the idea of TCA i like that its YBA but better but at the same time its like i dont wanna play basicly YBA all over again im already prestige 3 on YBA and like im tired i dont wanna replay the same thing again
During like the 4 hours i played TCA, the community suprised me the most. Max lvl people helped me kill the birdman boss over and over again without me asking for any help, it was nice to see a jojo community that has a collective IQ higer then the room temperature and i think you played a big role in achiving that, thank you eclipse.
Personally my feelings on TCA are positive but the "dealbreaker" was the lack of non humanoids at the time of me playing, i primarily used hermit purple and do think tca could benefit for more "out there" stands, i still did play tca but i dont currently due to poor internet no fault of the game with yba in the past having 30 ish stands to choose from with around 6 ish non humanoids it just had more time and variety, i think what has held tca back from high player counts is multiple factors
Right now the dev focus is mostly going to focus on well known stands because thats what most people want. Think about it this way, how many people would want GER vs Hermit Purple? Or how about Stone Free vs Highway Star? You see what I mean?
@@EclipseGameplays yeah absolutely makes sense and the only way I really thought of being able to add some less popular ones at the same time was to release a small batch alongside something like ger or scr, or just loop back around to them afterwards which also makes sense
honestly I don't play tca for a few reasons, 1 I already have a lot of hobbies, 2 I've got significantly less time for said hobbies and 3 I've lost intrest in playing roblox jojo games, however, I still watch your content as you are just a entertaining guy, you are effective at your job is what I'm saying
Lets go over one more thing about tca vs yba, In yba you have to use many different moves and it encourages you to be creative and make ur own combo while in tca its just m1 m1 m1 m1 m1 and a move every like 10 seconds. You shouldn't have to rely on m1s to a win a 1v1. Ijust think the game would be better and have more players if you didnt just have to m1. That makes the game less fun.
I really want this game to be popular I really do! The devs put so much work into the game. But at the rate the game is going now and all the kids that just want one shot kill people in YBA. I really don’t see it. And it makes me sad
I have been playing YBA since the old days, as a veteran I can completely agree with Eclipse on all of this. Although, I have never played TCA but I will play it soon and I hope that it is a great game! Old YBA was really bad though, the VFX was the WORST. I can relate with what Eclipse says on the VFX, from the footage in TCA I really think it looks a lot better than YBA. YBA currently still has bad visual effects and I doubt they will do anything about it. Anyway just wanted to say my opinion and its quite similar to Eclipse's, but I just felt like posting my comment, so I did. I may be a bit late on this video, 1 month in fact, but your videos are great and its sad to see your channel to sometimes decline in views.

Hi, will there be some changes to the 1v1 matchmaking in the future? As for now, practically every game I am have wait too much ping to be able to play and react to attacks (1 second of lag for any move), or it's the enemy that have way too much ping making it not enjoyable too. I know that there are not enough players right now to put a matchmaking based on region right now (I guess), but could this be an option later?
For exemple I know a game that have an option for players to choose if they want to be matched with anybody for quicker waiting time, or if they want to be only able to be matched with people from the same region only for longer waiting but good ping garanteed. Maybe this could be an option ?

I think its because one focuses on visual appeal more, which is the main reason why games made by bigger companies are easier to pick up, because they look stunning. Like think for a sec why skins are popular, its because it makes someone look cooler in that one game, and hence YBA is more of a trading simulator than a fighting game.

this is exactly what i was going to say. before eclipses videos on TCA, i joined the game to see what it was like. 10 minutes later i left because it just didnt look good. the gui was crude and i thought it was just a YBA clone. eclipses videos made me give it a second time and i now play it semi-frequently

I decided to give TCA a chance the other week because of your videos. In the very short amount of time I've played (probably only about 5 hours in total) I already reached the max level, obtained Made in Heaven (which actually bothers to use effects and voicelines from the Anime), and gotten skins for The World and Star Platinum. Comparing that to YBA where doing the exact same things would take me at least quadruple the time it felt like a breath of fresh air. Perhaps my favourite moment is rolling The World (my favourite stand in JoJo) for the first time after getting the 10 stand arrows from Jotaro and not only discovering that it _isn't_ a broken mess left only as a stepping stone to another objectively more powerful stand, but that a SPTW like evolution would be added into the game later down the line alongside TWOH (with my favourite colour scheme for it as its base form no less which won't be locked behind a terrible, messy rendition of it as a skin) was my deciding factor to stick with the game. I still sometimes play YBA if I want to play stands that aren't in the game yet like TA4 but the moment TCA adds all of those stands in, I'm leaving that dumpster fire behind.
This is only like one part of the whole thing you said but the reason YBA "doesnt bother" to use effects from the anime is because it was, yk, added before the anime adaptation of p6 was thing. YBA is eventually going to rework WS, Cmoon, and MIH though which then I assume will make it a lot higher qaulity. It could even be relatively soon cuz the remodels for ws and cmoon have already come out and the mih remodel has been leaked.

Like it’s so awesome to randomly come across some dude getting beat up in a desert, help them and then proceed to team up and take on the rest of the server together. Well just gonna state the obvious, the reason it gets so much hate is because of the hackers that ruined the gamemode for so long. Obviously the hackers died down and its much more fun now but it still just left a bad image in most peoples eyes so a lot less people will actually give it a shot.

I mean, there's really not much to say that's not already been said. The reason YBAs skins "problem" is so out of hand is because of the constant content droughts. It's all people have to do, and the longer the game doesn't add real content, the more players who are just there for that either turn to skins, or quit

I played TCA because of your content, the only problem is that i live in AUS so i'm gonna have 200+ ping when i join public servers. other than that i went through the hell of getting the 18 1v1 wins for TWOH while having 400 ping. game was fun.
As a fellow Australian I feel your pain, If the game had more players then we could join and fight people in our region rather than having to play in US or Asian servers. Would make getting twoh much easier.
EXACTLY. Exact same problem in YBA too. SBR, 1v1’s, none of these things are fun in 400 ping, and it’s the worst that we have to do these gamemodes to obtain stands.
I used to play with an Australian a long time ago, and they said that on YBA they never got below 180 ping, so I feel for you guys

The main reason I dont play the game is mainly because, it might just be me, the game feels really clunky pvp wise.

While i do think TCA has a bright future , the main reason people still play yba is just due to the diversity of stands and specs , Tca becomes very boring after you complete the storyline and get the stand you want.
On the map part:
I prefer the tca map due to the fact its much easier to learn it compared to the yba map,every building looks.
Gamemodes:
YBA has better gamemodes, TCA has pretty boring gamemodes.
yba's 1v1s just feel much smoother than tca's 1v1s
Updates:
As a HW main, i must agree that hw was one of the easiests stands to use due to just being able to throw out moves
Visual effects:
Honestly , YBA has much better effects but its indeed extremely annoying barely being able to see due to how many effects are on the screen.
Animations:
Most of TCA's stands feel up to date ,YBA's stands feel like a mess of animations , we have animations like beach boy while we have stuff like scary monster
Transparency:
As a TCA tester , the tca staff is very friendly and will actually try to help you out.On the yba part i cant comment due to the fact im not active at all in the YBA discord

Yba has way more stands and specs , gamemodes aswell,But TCA indeed has potential to beat yba

Old habits die hard I guess lol! I mean you can tell from my god awful YBA gameplay that I just never even tried to adapt my gameplay as YBAs combat turned into "just press buttons" so playing TCA was just like riding a bike
9:50 there's clearly an argument to be made here about how less complexity and fidelity in your graohics can help you convey things better, like the reusing of the old break effect in perfect parries, as it was quite literally a reverse block break, even in color. Or in the explosions, which were simplistic but effective on showing their range.

I really enjoy TCA, I thought it was a ton of fun when I binged it! I really think the issue is lack of stands and maybe some VFX. I’d play the game more but life’s busy. But if there was a cool Halloween event, or maybe a big update I think that could do great.

Old YBA was honestly so much fun. It kinda sucks to see how much it's digressed from it's actual combat to just make attacks look cooler. Despite that, great memories made from playing this game so I probably won't completely abandon it.

I will never forget how I managed to get the last piece of the corpse to get MIH in YBA. I went into SBR solo and used the world to go on top of the walls to avoid everyone until that last part, then it was down to 3 people including me, there was an Anubis with pluck and a magician’s red. They weren’t able to knock me off my horse and I ran around till the bridge opened and got 1st. Last time I had fun playing YBA
Not related to my original comment but just a side note that is sort of related to the video, so there is this game called build a boat, I really enjoy it but there is just one thing I don’t like about the people who run it. I told the discord about a bug that had been in the game for multiple months and still exists in the game to this day, I think it’s been a year and it still hasn’t been fixed. But guess what some dev said to me, “wait for the next update” so I did, and guess what, wasn’t fixed at all. They lied directly to my face and still haven’t fixed it after a year. Their game is amazing but the way they handle things just isn’t all there.

I remember the days back when I was beyond awful, and had nobody to play with. I wanted to get GER so bad, so I'd hide in the tents until stage 3, and then gun it. Used stand jump and plucks old aerial ace to cheese out the win. No matter what they do to the game, those memories will never leave us
I remember when I was trying to get MiH for the first time - at least a bit. I'd had the same C-Moon for about 2-3 months when they added the Heaven update (I was stoked to see the player count shoot up and see a bunch of C-Moons running around). The process of getting the corpse parts was fun, but not too interesting to talk about; just regular SBR gameplay. I do remember one guy giving me the left arm, though, which made me super excited since it was the last part I needed. I later beat DIO:OH and SO Jotaro and got MiH after about 2 months. I continued to play YBA consistently for another year or so, before eventually shifting away from it as the game became more skin-heavy and less fun. I still have that same MiH in my Stand Storage. I think the reason the game stopped being fun was because of the lack of new content and eventual squandering of the combat. I'm gonna try TCA so I can get some of that fun that I had back in old YBA.

In updates you forgot to mention the super important yba emergency sKiN updates (If you couldn't tell a skin which you can't see in an average combo is more important than a 1 shot 2 move combo).
Won't lie, I don't think I've ever been more frustrated with a developer than when they came back solely to patch a skin dupe during the content drought, and then couldn't be bothered to fix TA4s infinite combo for a MONTH
I actually tried TCA a bit ago and I enjoyed it a lot. It's simple but that's what I like about it. The map is a nice size, the stands have a decent amount of moves, the combat is fun, and there's still more in the game that I haven't got around to trying yet like the specs and other game modes. Overall, I just enjoy the game for what it is.
The reason tca has A LOT less players is because dopamine.dopamine is a centre is the brain that makes us feels good such was when we eat junk food we creat dopamine. Tca doesn’t have crazy graphics and is simple but the combat is amazing but people don’t want that , people want a bunch of graphics ands cool effects and to win by mashing buttons, people don’t want to use skill they just want to button mash and see cool effects and win, this creates dopamine so people keep coming back and back and back and back. And that’s the reason y a is so popular and tca isnt

i dont share the opinion, the visuals play a role but i feel its more in game identity and conveying information to the player, how combat feels and your options play a large role even more so the first stand you get, yba had a lot of stands that id consider "beginner friendly" that are often simple to a fault that eased people in, Mr.President, Sticky Fingers, Aerosmith, The Hand, Crazy Diamond (the old one), Scary Monsters (old),each of them had honestly simple movesets that were of varied utility
TCA's stands are all more complex with counters, projectiles, stuns and a more complex game plan than others which in theory isnt bad but its just a lot of options to instantly be thrust into not knowing whats good or not to go for when you first join and have limited points to work with, paired with a cast of stands a third the size of yba and almost all humanoids that people new just end up feeling lost which i feel is why people asked for that tca beginners guide from eclipse

when i tried out the game, it was great, the issue i had with the game was the performance issues.
My current assumption is either server region limits or just my personal issue, but i have an average of 300-500 ping in TCA servers.
If the player count is low, odds of finding a sever in a low population region are even lower. And unfortunate side effect that can only be remedied by the game being more popular
I had thought about this since the vampirism ''rework'' but a way to kinda stop those extreme combos or having to know what 20 keys do could be to add a move limit so you can only have x moves both on specs and stands.
Anyway Uzu will never do anything that has the word balance in it and I don't even play YBA anymore so, just an idea (that probably many people already talked about).
They won't do this, but it's honestly not a terrible idea. It'd add a lot to build variety too

1:40 this is one of my biggest complaints with how YBA was when I stopped playing it. I remember the days when you could pair any spec with almost any stand and have a comprehensible idea of what you’re doing. Nowadays every spec and stand that releases has like at least 8 moves each and so the investment of time you need to put into mapping your key binds, learning them + combos takes away from the original fun and simplicity old YBA had. I appreciate the effort they go into making these high quality stands and the impressive graphics design, but from a gameplay perspective the dynamic between old & new move-sets have way too big of a contrast. Personally, I just wish stands released with less moves so there’s a bigger emphasis on unique play styles and skill rather than just mashing inputs…
Fr why do specs need to be so complicated now and have so much more moves. A spec should just be there to enhance your stand not be a standalone thing that can practically be used without needing a stand.
i really agree with this one right here. i remember challenging myself by having a slot dedicated to just randomly using an arrow and pairing it with whatever spec i happened to have to just run into 1v1s and try it out. and when i had the itch to do it again, i'd just roka whatever i had in that slot and reroll a new stand. i discovered a ton of cool synergies that way but with how over-complicated things are now you really don't have that level of flexibility anymore.

Hamon was boxing but a bit more complicated and more for damage
Vampire was for stun and winning in the short game
And pluck was for combos and being similar to a actual moveset

YBA wants to maximize its player count and get as much money as possible (because Uzu has either lost all of his self respect or lost his passion for the game) while TCA wants to make a good game.

People just don't wanna start all over again to be max level when you could just play YBA where you have been max level for years and have all these skins and stands that you don't want to start all over again, this is why most battlegrounds games do so well, they don't have leveling systems and grinding in the game thus making people enjoy the game more because they already have the powers that they need and all they need to do is learn how to fight

This actually relates so hard as back in the day I was all in for Jojo games.from abd and old aut then from old yba,aut:nu,crusaders heaven,world of stands on its beta,tb2, RIU and much more.but ever since yba has been reworking the specs and the realization that yba has bearly any content other then sbr.i didint had the motivation play Jojo games at all cuz I thought to myself that all these Jojo games keeps on getting made but then in a couple of months it will eventually die or it will feel repetitive and it will repeat itself over and over again.

yba combat is too volatile, where 1 mistake usually always leads to you getting at least 50% health combod. tca combat requires more effort to net those big combos, so most of the time you lose HP to footsie situations instead. more mix ups and winning neutral is needed, which makes it more fun because you get more chances and it feels more skillful when you mix the opponent correctly 6 times rather than 2-3
I think one reason that people don't play TCA much (including myself) is that the games optimization isn't that great for lower end devices which most people who are on mobile/watch your videos probably have lower end PCs and sometimes the lag can get frustrating and keeping players from actually enjoying the game, just something I thought upon

Great video Eclipse. In my opinion, I don't know why people haven't made the swap. Personally, I'm just not interested in YBA or TCA anymore, but I do believe that TCA is the better game, and if it keeps up, will easily surpass YBA.
Unless TCA adds Tusk, Ball Breaker, or Scary Monsters. Then I'll probably join without hesitation. Regardless, I did try it and like it, but I just don't have as much fun with it as some other games.

I play TCA a good bit, but I disagree with the point of "staff are normal people". I killed someone in the game, and an admin literally just stuck me in place and jumped me over and over again.
I played a bit of TCA the other night, and it started out great! I reminded me a lot of the good days of YBA and I genuinely enjoyed it. Then I realized I had beat the entire game in 30 minutes more or less. :/ What I feel the game needs right now is a longer story with maybe a way to make some stands harder to get? I literally started with Whitesnake and The World immediately.. I’m not gonna say YBA is necessarily better, but I’m my opinion YBA has a little bit more to do than TCA. (Tbf, my game time on TCA is really only like 2 hours, so maybe I’m missing something.)
Just try out a bunch of stands, some stands like twoh can require a bit a grinding, or simply play the game and have fun, you don’t need a grind to have fun. I like that story is short because it means you can fight people a lot easier.
Eclipse ive been grinding deepwoken but once i get burnt out or bored ill hop on tca just deep is alot of fun rn
A big point in yba’s favor is simply the fact that it’s an older game. It’s been around for multiple years, in which time it’s fleshed itself out to where it is now. Tca, on the other hand, is a new game that hasn’t had the time to flourish and grow like yba did(I don’t know when tca officially released so take this with a grain of salt). As time passes, tca will get better and better as the developers work on the game. Will it defeat the titan known as yba, though? Only time will tell.
Imagine where it'd be if it actually updated for all those years... it's a crying shame

I think its just time until TCA is recognized as a better game.
I haven't been playing it due to a lack of content but, the mosh-pit gamemode is definitely a step in the right direction.
Old SBR gave me anxiety whenever it reached last stage no other game will ever be like old yba 😭

the fact when playing Yba I am binding certain moves to "L" and "U" is absurd
7:06 this clips proves your point perfectly. While you are trying to get near the Scary Monster dude to m1 him, he is literally just running until he can get all of his moves back and try to combo you again. Now comparing, TCA's combat is just way better to play, it fells really smooth.
Also I started playing this game because of your videos, so I am not part of those guys who didn't give the game a chance.
The same thing with the scary monsters happens to me when I'm fighting six pistols. I chase them, they run back and get salami until they do over half of my health in a combo.

@@EvenMoreMoney the good thing is that people think its trash so only a few actually use it. The bad thing is that "a few" comparated to TCA's playercount is actually a lot.

Honestly I would love to play TCA, but there's one problem that's stopping me from doing so. First off I'm a mobile player, so what I'm about to say relates to mobile. Alright, so the one problem that's stopping me from playing TCA is how the buttons work (nothing wrong with the placement) but when pressing a button, it Roblox counts it as a finger being on the screen in terms of moving the screen around, so when trying to turn your screen while pressing buttons to use moves and whatnot, you can't turn your screen because roblox will think there's two fingers on Yeh screen and it'll start zooming in and out instead of turning. Other then that, I have no problems with TCA, the game looks really fun. But as it stands, that problem makes the game in ten literal sense, unplayable.
Considering you're in the testing team, if possible could you notify devs of this, because I would honestly love to play the game, but I can't.
I found tca on its release and to put it frankly I enjoyed it! At the time I was watching you play yba and I was like "I would love to see eclipse play tca" and I come back to your channel 1 month later and see this! 😂
To be fair, i just don’t roblox compared to other games atm, I’m working on playing through baldurs gate, elden ring and a few others, i just appreciate the content as its enjoyable and well, its cool to see the game discussed if I’m interested later.
For me, It's the optimization, same reason I switched from YBA to RiU. The games good but it's really difficult to play due to being on a laptop.

I've played both YBA and TCA, I feel that the m1s in TCA are easier to land compared to YBA where you co Stanly try to break your m1 button. Also the game is constantly being balanced but few stands being nerfed to the ground by making almost every move blockable is my only problem with TCA. The devs really did a good job and I hope the game succeeds and gets more players.
Here after seeing YBA staff yapping in sub announcements about everything you said, trying to defend the fact that the staff team aren’t transparent and the staff are ‘fine’. In my experience I have never seen the staff in any of the public chats interacting with the community besides when they are punishing somebody, the only thing I see them do is constantly fill sub announcements and polls with shitposts and other garbage we don’t need to see, which basically defines your point about them not taking feedback even more, instead of taking the feedback from the video, they’ve gone to publically whine about it in sub announcements where the public can see and majority will agree with them because.. they’re staff.

I think the main flaw of YBA is the fact that there are just too many moves.
I personally don’t have an issue with it, but that’s because I play A LOT of fighting games, and I’m just used to it. YBA’s playerbase consists mostly of children who haven’t touched a fighting game outside of Smash Bros. The general casual audience of Roblox isn’t going to get nearly the same enjoyment out of it as someone who is already experienced with fighting games. And what makes it worse is the fact that because there are so many moves, new players are going to get absolutely demolished in 1v1s due to how much damage just one combo does.
TCA just has a much better understanding of the casual audience than YBA, and I think that is what is going to eventually (and hopefully) skyrocket it’s popularity.

U got me to play tca and it was soooo fun the grinding was short and the final boss was fun plus the theme song was good i had so much fun ganking bosses with my friend's plus the 1v1s was get this b-b-b-balanced yba could never anyway tca is a great game and i recommend it.

For me i think the main reason im not attached into TCA is because, its practicly YBA but all over again with some upgrades, Its like i like the idea of TCA i like that its YBA but better but at the same time its like i dont wanna play basicly YBA all over again im already prestige 3 on YBA and like im tired i dont wanna replay the same thing again
Getting to max level in tca takes around 30 minutes to an hour. There is no prestiges so you only have to level up once.
I generally had enough of jojo games, but just to appreciate eclipse's dedication i will give TCA a try.
I get it, trust me. I'm know for sure a good chunk of my viewers have simply given up on roblox jojo, and I mean, who can blame them?
During like the 4 hours i played TCA, the community suprised me the most. Max lvl people helped me kill the birdman boss over and over again without me asking for any help, it was nice to see a jojo community that has a collective IQ higer then the room temperature and i think you played a big role in achiving that, thank you eclipse.
Personally my feelings on TCA are positive but the "dealbreaker" was the lack of non humanoids at the time of me playing, i primarily used hermit purple and do think tca could benefit for more "out there" stands, i still did play tca but i dont currently due to poor internet no fault of the game
with yba in the past having 30 ish stands to choose from with around 6 ish non humanoids it just had more time and variety, i think what has held tca back from high player counts is multiple factors
Right now the dev focus is mostly going to focus on well known stands because thats what most people want. Think about it this way, how many people would want GER vs Hermit Purple? Or how about Stone Free vs Highway Star? You see what I mean?
@@EclipseGameplays yeah absolutely makes sense and the only way I really thought of being able to add some less popular ones at the same time was to release a small batch alongside something like ger or scr, or just loop back around to them afterwards which also makes sense

honestly I don't play tca for a few reasons, 1 I already have a lot of hobbies, 2 I've got significantly less time for said hobbies and 3 I've lost intrest in playing roblox jojo games, however, I still watch your content as you are just a entertaining guy, you are effective at your job is what I'm saying
Lets go over one more thing about tca vs yba, In yba you have to use many different moves and it encourages you to be creative and make ur own combo while in tca its just m1 m1 m1 m1 m1 and a move every like 10 seconds. You shouldn't have to rely on m1s to a win a 1v1.
Ijust think the game would be better and have more players if you didnt just have to m1.

I really want this game to be popular I really do! The devs put so much work into the game. But at the rate the game is going now and all the kids that just want one shot kill people in YBA. I really don’t see it. And it makes me sad

I have been playing YBA since the old days, as a veteran I can completely agree with Eclipse on all of this.
Although, I have never played TCA but I will play it soon and I hope that it is a great game!
Old YBA was really bad though, the VFX was the WORST. I can relate with what Eclipse says on the VFX, from the footage in TCA I really think it looks a lot better than YBA.
YBA currently still has bad visual effects and I doubt they will do anything about it.
