I enjoyed this episode for the same reason I enjoyed the Hela episode last season. It took a character who was extremely deep in their own views and motives, and basically turned them on their heads and challenged their worldviews. Hela recognized that what she truly wanted was freedom from (Odin’s) control, and the Red Guardian realized that the capitalist pigs he was taught to despise were regularly in cahoots with his superiors who ingrained that hatred into his head. That said I do think the Hela episode did a significantly better job of doing this, but I didn’t dislike this episode.

Hunch about how the season finale episode will end. So far episode has featired one "giantanic" character, 1.Hulkzilla, 2. Cosmic Queen Agatha, and 3. Bill Foster AKA Giant-Man II AKA Black Goliath (in the 1970's nearly every male black hero had Black in their hero name) suspect the colossal theme is going to continue this season.

And I don't hate any of these episodes. The Mech episode LITERALLY existed inspired by the Marvel Manga series for as much as people claim to be fans. I loved ANYTHING touching back on the Eternals (which I loved and wanted more of) and I love Agatha. This was pure fun and interesting implications for this world. Tony's parents may be alive, but Bucky can still be blamed for killing King T'Chaka and CAATWS likely still happened with means the fall of Shield. I love David Harbour's Red Guardian getting more. Can't wait for the Thunderbolts.
Anyone noticed that the park Ranger woman’s last name was Morales (in a possible Easter egg for miles Morales?) I remember that one of the season-3 what ifs was going to be A Spider Man and Captain America title. But with Some movies and Characters that are being written for the what if team was given a off limits list ( no ghost rider or Spider Man or any character that still is being developed by the studio) I beat “ What if “ Has a bunch of episodes finished we may never even hear about???

I think the idea is that the time he spent with Alexei helped him old onto his memories and resist it just in that moment, but I’d be willing to bet that they set him back to “factory settings” when they strapped him back into that chair at the end.
I am theorising that the words are ingrained deeper into Bucky's mind the more they are used on him. This is still early on in his time as Winter Soldier, so he was able to resist its effects rather easily. Compare that to TFATWS where it's been so many years of usage, that Bucky is still having issues resisting it, and requires Wakandan help to get it out.

stain can always be replaced by someone else, be it hydra or the 10 rings, so tony becoming iron man can still be relatively similar to iron man 1
