I have this figure arriving today and I’m super excited for it! Even though she has limited range and motion in terms of posing I don’t mind it at all. I love this character in the Mandalorian series and I hope to see her character take back her leadership as the Mandalorian leader for her people. Another great video Justin and thanks for another review where I go to when it comes to purchasing my Hot Toys figures.

Honestly, other than the single jointed elbows I think this is a pretty much perfect release. Say what you will about the sculpt but I think it’s spot on to her live action appearance. I’m sure a company will make an animated version, potentially Limtoys or something?

I think the sculpting of the head is perfect and cannot see anything wrong with it at all for who ever did the sculpting did an amazing job but there are some nasty people out there who just like to say horrible things just to cause distress for they would probably say horrible things about the art in the Cysteine Chapel but your videos are great and it's by watching your reviews that help me decide whether to buy certain figures but you do a great job at reviewing these items and I look forward to watching some more from you.

First, and most important, your videos are just fine. They follow a format but aren't boring. As a regular viewer I know what you will cover and I like that. Second I think the head sculpt looks great. I don't get the hate. If I saw just the head, I would know who it was.

Great figure. Great review. We got alot of collectors that vision must be less that 20/20..😂.. Headsculp is on point. 8.5 on the figure. this figure wasn't even in my must haves. But now I might pic it up.
Totally agree with your comments on the pleather, I hate it (lost count of how many headphone earpieces have disintegrated on me)! I just received some Angelus Acrylyc leather Matt finisher no. 620 and dabbed a bit on an inconspicuous pleather boot to verify compatibility. If it does not cause any issues I plan to coat all the pleather on my Hot Toys for longevity (I do not yet have peeling on my figures, but do not wish to wait and find out).
I do think the hair color could be a bit more lighter and just a smidge closer to red, but other than that I do think it’s a phenomenal sculpt. Maybe in person it looks lighter?

I'm a huge fan of your reviews - I've made a number of purchases based on your thoughtful assessments of figures - but please stop using the "remember, real humans design these collectibles, so go easy on them" argument when defending perceived poor quality work. I love this headsculpt, but a bad sculpt or design is a bad sculpt or design. The prices of these figures continues to rise, and if people are paying $250, $350, $400 or more on a collectible, they have a right to have certain quality expectations. Absolutely not. There is no excuse for toxic commentary. Opinions and constructive criticism is totally acceptable, heck that’s what I do myself in these videos. However comments of an abusive nature with no constructive commentary is completely useless and doesn’t help anyone in knowing what they’d actually like to see changed. There is quite the difference.

I don't read (or post in) many comments sections (anywhere, let alone UA-cam), because most of it is toxic and reactionary. I do stand by my statement that when paying $300-400 for a collectible, collectors are allowed to have certain quality expectations, and be critical of the companies (not individual artists) when certain (realistic) expectations aren't met, but attacking a particular artist or being abusive in any way is unacceptable. i was on the "meh" side of the likeness debate but i have to say your review makes her look a lot better than any of the preview material available. Bloggers shots did make her look slightly better than the proto pics but now i've watched your video, i'm fully reassured on my purchase.
I do agree 100%, this figure is absolutely stunning, yes she does look a little stocky but I’m ok with that and besides side-to-side pics with this and the on screen appearance it’s super accurate. I’m a bit like Obiwan when it comes to Mandalorian figures as I have 6 Lego mandalorians, the Lego buildable Boba Fett, Black Series ROTJ Boba Fett and Death Watch Mandalorian. I am hoping to get the Black Series repainted Boba Fett helmet and the dark saber

I’m very thankful for your reviews. Blogger photos tend to be misleading and in hand, the sculpt looks better than the promo pics. There’s something that doesn’t quite make it a 10/10 but it’s good enough. I am very annoyed though with the single jointed elbows. It’s 2022. There should be no reason why inferior technology is used in these figures. I passed on armorer cause of that. I don’t think I’ll pass on this but it’s very annoying. Makes me wonder if someone will try to replace the body for a custom

I agree people are clueless about the skill it takes to get to this point in terms of likenesses. Such hyperbole if each and every sculpt isn't a somehow "perfect" likeness! Hell even way back with the prequels they cyberscanned the actors for the likenesses and there are a bunch of reasons those figures didn't look great regardless. And obviously people haven't paid attention to how strong/masculine Sackhoff's features are and how the hairstyle accentuates the jaw and so on. John Cena my arse. Go do it yourself and see how many years/decades it takes you! Does anyone even remember what the standard was before HT came along?!! Anyway looks great to me. As for stumpy legs, the blue armour jumping forward optically makes it look more bottom heavy though the legs are fine. And it's where they sat on the actor. Look how much Boba's proportions change depending on the colours and armour/flight suit options. The black geared dark boots making him look stubbier than others. And SW has generally been (until recently) about things like daggy old armour lots of mix and match asymmetry and say shoulder pads hanging down and off the shoulder like original Fett, not huge and bulky like some superhero thing or a gridiron/NFL player. So those low shin guards are very SW to me. Hell, original Fett's knee bits kept popping off during shooting due to their placement! Anyway. Thanks for the review!
When you said the chest plate isn’t completely flat, I wasn’t expecting you to be referring to the paintwork until you said there’s some silver paint chipping 😅😅
I would still make the purchase, but have to agrees with the dislikes made. I would've liked it more if the split-cut boot was in to bring out the figure more as in terms of flight. Looking forward to seeing the outcome of the upcoming female Mandalorians will be, especially the extras to bring out an all female Mandalorian squadron in my opinion. Sees what happens in season 3. As always great video commentary.

I don’t think she looks stumpy. In the show katee looks a little shorter because the armor bulks her up a bit and so maybe it throws the proportions off, but the figure looks perfect to me

With all respect strongly disagree about your comment about the headsculpt..making the statement.. dont forget the human being doing it....They improved the product a little bit compared to preorder pictures I give you that...but for something sooo expensive given the quality delivered on scarlett witch..black widows..gal gadots etc etc we dont expect less than perfect likeness. Katie Z a gorgeous woman hardly seen there. The marvel legends bo katan looks more than her than this expensive product that is expected to have quality control people stopping poor products to release. So lets not defend these people they should do better. Well need to exhibit always with the helmet or with a plastic bag in the head🤣 not fair for paying customer. Thanks
There is a huge difference between constructive criticism and hateful abusive comments. I’m sure those watching can understand the difference and which one of the two I mean is not welcome seeing as my entire channel is made up of reviews that include criticisms. There is a right and wrong way of doing things, that is what I’m pointing out.
Do you unfailingly do a perfect job at whatever your job is? 100% every single time, no margin for error ever? Unassailable? And what's the point of just blurting "they should do better" if you can't even say how or pinpoint where? It's a copout criticism.

I believe the collectors meant the prototype looks like Cena. Not the final product. That comments may be important feedback to hot toys they have to improve it. Imagine Noone would say anything. Than maybe the final product wouldn't look that good
Oh no, the comments were on the final product. There is a right way and wrong way to give feedback. "Looks like Cena" doesn't help anyone. "Narrow the jaw slightly and adjust the position of the cheeks" see that is useful. There is hate and there is criticism they are not the same.
Why didn't they just make the nameplate magnetic so you could swap it back and forth? That's what I'd do! That head sculpt is a 9.8 Starbucks out of 10.
Hi Justin! How are you? I’ve been waiting for this figure for a while and I can’t wait to get mine. Seems like perfect timing with Mando season 3 coming up in a few months. Is she as heavy as the Heavy Mandalorian? I kind of hoped they would show her in the Throne Room in Mandalore or something like that. Her headsculpt is ok, it does look like the character. Her jetopack should have been removable. I agree there could have been more sculpted pieces on the figure. The backdrop is ok, I think she would have looked different in front of a unique backdrop. Why not make her have a throne since that’s what she wants so badly? I do like the way she looks as you’ve posed her flying around. Thanks so much for the video 😊💎
I have no idea what the one semi-open let hand if for, but if you commit a little blasphemy and cut the pinky from the palm, she's able to hold the darksaber. No idea why Hot Toys didn't design it like this from the get-go
With the nameplate, I decided to scan it and print out a replica of it on card stock. Then I cut it out and stuck the replica to the base with a bit of double stick tape. Then I put the nameplate the figure came with in a zip lock plastic bag to protect it. I don't like the idea of sticking a name plate permanently onto a base. I'm not happy with Hot Toys decision to do this.

I’m very thankful for your reviews. Blogger photos tend to be misleading and in hand, the sculpt looks better than the promo pics. There’s something that doesn’t quite make it a 10/10 but it’s good enough. I am very annoyed though with the single jointed elbows. It’s 2022. There should be no reason why inferior technology is used in these figures. I passed on armorer cause of that. I don’t think I’ll pass on this but it’s very annoying. Makes me wonder if someone will try to replace the body for a custom

There’ll always be haters, keep up the good work. I certainly can’t afford to buy all the figures I want but you certainly have helped me with figures I have purchased. I agree people are clueless about the skill it takes to get to this point in terms of likenesses. Such hyperbole if each and every sculpt isn't a somehow "perfect" likeness! Hell even way back with the prequels they cyberscanned the actors for the likenesses and there are a bunch of reasons those figures didn't look great regardless.
And obviously people haven't paid attention to how strong/masculine Sackhoff's features are and how the hairstyle accentuates the jaw and so on. John Cena my arse. Go do it yourself and see how many years/decades it takes you! Does anyone even remember what the standard was before HT came along?!! Anyway looks great to me. As for stumpy legs, the blue armour jumping forward optically makes it look more bottom heavy though the legs are fine. And it's where they sat on the actor. Look how much Boba's proportions change depending on the colours and armour/flight suit options. The black geared dark boots making him look stubbier than others.
And SW has generally been (until recently) about things like daggy old armour lots of mix and match asymmetry and say shoulder pads hanging down and off the shoulder like original Fett, not huge and bulky like some superhero thing or a gridiron/NFL player. So those low shin guards are very SW to me. Hell, original Fett's knee bits kept popping off during shooting due to their placement! Anyway. Thanks for the review!

I would still make the purchase, but have to agrees with the dislikes made. I would've liked it more if the split-cut boot was in to bring out the figure more as in terms of flight. Looking forward to seeing the outcome of the upcoming female Mandalorians will be, especially the extras to bring out an all female Mandalorian squadron in my opinion. Sees what happens in season 3. As always great video commentary.

@@JustinsCollection I would say the same way made as Bo-Katan since they're from the same clan, but would like to sees the female extras out of that clan just like The Death Watch Clan. Just to bring out the female clan out more. Sees what happens.

I don’t think she looks stumpy. In the show katee looks a little shorter because the armor bulks her up a bit and so maybe it throws the proportions off, but the figure looks perfect to me

Dear Justin I appreciate your video and all your work. With all respect strongly disagree about your comment about the headsculpt..making the statement.. dont forget the human being doing it....They improved the product a little bit compared to preorder pictures I give you that...but for something sooo expensive given the quality delivered on scarlett witch..black widows..gal gadots etc etc we dont expect less than perfect likeness. Katie Z a gorgeous woman hardly seen there. The marvel legends bo katan looks more than her than this expensive product that is expected to have quality control people stopping poor products to release. So lets not defend these people they should do better. Well need to exhibit always with the helmet or with a plastic bag in the head🤣 not fair for paying customer. Thanks
There is a huge difference between constructive criticism and hateful abusive comments. I’m sure those watching can understand the difference and which one of the two I mean is not welcome seeing as my entire channel is made up of reviews that include criticisms. There is a right and wrong way of doing things, that is what I’m pointing out.
Do you unfailingly do a perfect job at whatever your job is? 100% every single time, no margin for error ever? Unassailable? And what's the point of just blurting "they should do better" if you can't even say how or pinpoint where? It's a copout criticism.

Hey justin, there's a mando cosplay group im in called the mandalorian mercs, they raise money for charity and stuff and they are all over in different regions and you can find your own just make a profile in the forums, meet people near you and make your own mandalorian armor

I believe the collectors meant the prototype looks like Cena. Not the final product. That comments may be important feedback to hot toys they have to improve it. Imagine Noone would say anything. Than maybe the final product wouldn't look that good
Oh no, the comments were on the final product. There is a right way and wrong way to give feedback. "Looks like Cena" doesn't help anyone.
"Narrow the jaw slightly and adjust the position of the cheeks" see that is useful.

Hi Justin! How are you? I’ve been waiting for this figure for a while and I can’t wait to get mine. Seems like perfect timing with Mando season 3 coming up in a few months. Is she as heavy as the Heavy Mandalorian? I kind of hoped they would show her in the Throne Room in Mandalore or something like that. Her headsculpt is ok, it does look like the character. Her jetopack should have been removable. I agree there could have been more sculpted pieces on the figure. The backdrop is ok, I think she would have looked different in front of a unique backdrop. Why not make her have a throne since that’s what she wants so badly? I do like the way she looks as you’ve posed her flying around. Thanks so much for the video 😊💎

I have no idea what the one semi-open let hand if for, but if you commit a little blasphemy and cut the pinky from the palm, she's able to hold the darksaber. No idea why Hot Toys didn't design it like this from the get-go

With the nameplate, I decided to scan it and print out a replica of it on card stock. Then I cut it out and stuck the replica to the base with a bit of double stick tape. Then I put the nameplate the figure came with in a zip lock plastic bag to protect it. I don't like the idea of sticking a name plate permanently onto a base. I'm not happy with Hot Toys decision to do this.
