- Emilia Clarke was a little stunned working with Samuel L. Jackson in their new Marvel series "Secret Invasion"! "When [I had] my first scene with Samuel L. Jackson, the first time I met him, I was so starstruck, and I was so scared. The only words that came out of my mouth were the words that I had learned for the scene, so I just kept doing that. And he's like, 'Oh, she's a very serious actress! She's very, very professional! We are method-ing it up, fine! You wanna play, let's do it,'" she told Access Hollywood's Zuri Hall. Emilia and her co-star Ben Mendelsohn also shared details on the series and broke down all the preparation that went into it. "Secret Invasion" hits Disney+ on June 21.

PSA from a (possibly) fellow neurodivergent: before more people flood in with the age-old "Ben is definitely high" comments, please be courteous and stop to consider the fact that he may have ADHD and HAS to fidget in order to focus/stay in one spot for an extended length of time. Social anxiety can also coexist with it and that can make the fidgeting and awkwardness appear more pronounced to neurotypicals. I've been a fan of his for years now and he acts like this in every single one of his interviews; while I'm better at masking it due to a lifetime of being conditioned to do so, the constant fidgeting and fragmented speech patterns do remind me of my own behavior in certain situations where I'm under-stimulated, anxious, or a combination of both. I don't know if he's officially got it or not, but I think it may be likely considering there is an extensive backlog of footage of him ticking certain behavioral boxes during press events (excessive fidgeting, talking too loud, being unable to "dial down" his enthusiasm, impulsivity in conversations, interrupting people). I know most people don't mean to do this, but jumping to negative conclusions about someone's "weird" behavior patterns that don't look "normal" to the majority of the population can unintentionally reinforce decades of stigma that people are now working 10x as hard to undo.
If he does have ADHD, more power to him, he's an icon that pretty much destroyed the myth that people with the condition cannot be successful in a world not built for them. Plus he really just seems to give no f*ks about what people think of him and is happy to live as authentically and as overly passionate as he can be. To someone like me, who was given the message growing up to just bottle that in and be ashamed of myself for not being "normal" (even though at the time I didn't know why), that's really damn inspiring.

It's sad because Ben is a brilliant actor, well loved here in Australia. Emelia wouldn't touch drugs with her medical history, no way!
