I remember many people were making fun of John Stones when he went to Man City from Everton, but I bet no one imagine he could reach this level. It didn't last long since he's very inconsistent ( Pep has hinted at discipline problems at press conferences) but he had a period of 3 or 4 months at the end of the Treble season where considered in the Top 3 players in the Premier League. When Guardiola won the treble in 2009, he had magicians like Dani Alves, Busquets, Iniesta, Xavi, Pique, Etoo, that gave him the edge over every other team. So for Man City to win the treble, you needed a handful of players in the squad to give that extra step in quality, and John Stones was one of them.
Not inconsistency or discipline problems. He's injury prone. Every-time he plays he's world class, he just wasn't recognised as this caliber of player until he starting playing in midfield. He's been elite since 2021, and had showings of this form when actually playing with a good defensive partner, i.e. Laporte and Kompany
@@oliqz Discipline issues show up as injuries. If you dont sleep enough and you dont eat what you need to eat, and you don't work out and do the warm ups and all that stuff, you are more prone to injuries. It's all connected.
8:54 Stones makes a long ball to foden who cuts in and assists maybe mahrez on the far post for a goal vs crystal palace. It seems like Man City are wearing their 2021/22 kit there but they scored no goals in both their premier league games that season against palace. What game was this goal from? Was the goal maybe disallowed?
please please please please please please make a phil foden edit with this music(hes my fav player and i love this song), this shit was fantastic brother, your world class
Dribbling a lil higher if anything, pace 3 lower, shooting like 2 lower, defense like 5 lower, physical 3 lower 77 pace 78 shooting 87 passing 85 dribbling 84 defense 86 physical

The reason why Stones is so good on the ball is that he’s a dancer. Dancing improves your massively improves your footwork.
my favorite video is coming back!!!

Player discipline is the main key to a club's success, Pep is a great coach because he always pays attention to that
it wasn't discipline issue. He was facing some personal issues in the past and little injuries too
I think it's well known that John Stones likes his parties. Although that might have changed now that he's more mature.@@shubhankursharma3323
