I actually like the Vocal Version it sounds pretty good to me.. guess we all have different preference.
The growling kinda fits. I'm usually not a fan of it, but those parts are pretty good.
However the refrain is super repetetive and the lyrics are "edgy".
same, I actually like it quite a bit, don't get it ppl saying vocal is out of sync, to me seem to be on point.
@@sephyrias883 most of hardrock/alternative songs from videogames are edgy and we're cool with it. Check DMC and MGR, both have songs with 'edgy' lyrics and we love them!!
Honestly, the Live vocal albums got WAY better with age thanks to Strive, I personally didn't catch on with my teenage brain what the aim was but despite the flaws of it all, I appreciate it more now as character breakdown songs rather than guilty gear except I can sing with it.

Most of these imo are better than what Strive has and the fact they don’t know what these songs were about is still impressive.

I just finished Millia's 2nd story path in Accent Core, and yeah, it's some guy who'd been ignored by her, so he stabbed Millia before realizing what he was doing. Millia was ok with it though, as she was dying as herself, not controlled by her hair like Zato was with Eddie. That was pretty much a repeat of what Graveheed said, but oh well.

Idk I feel like everyone complaining about how the vocals arent synced aren't actually tuned for this kind of music. You gotta listen to how the lyrics are being implemented hence why it sounds the way it does. I've heard metal that had lyrics that seemed like it didn't sync up only for the live version to be the same then I understood why. It adds a sense of difference to the song.

the vocals were written by daisuke ishiwatari but the englishversion of the song was sung by some random band in LA

I wasn't a fan of the vocals at first, but they grew on me. Although pretty much only for this song, Feel a Fear, and Holy Orders.
This and Existence are the only lyric themes I liked from this musical experiment. Okay, Jam's too for being hilarious.

Technically, Zato was always "infected" by Eddie. It's just over time, Eddie was taking more control and eventually Millia killed him in the story and Eddie took control of the "corpse" so to speak.

Im big fan of Guilty Gear and Daisuke Ishiwatary i listened english and japanese vocals x amount of time but sometimes i think if they knew what kind lyrics they were writing for english vocals.
the vocal versions are not bad, the whole problem is that some parts are totally outta sync.
We can always redo them. I'm not part of this band but I've been wanting to these lyrics and make them fit more with GG. They seem real lazy

I still don't see how these lyrics are any worse/ cheesier than say, Ky's English lyrics. I like them all, and I'd have to say that these are some of the most meaningful lyrics I've heard yet.
At least looking at it as a song for a video game, this seems to fit Zato/Eddie/Milla perfectly... shoot they all make sense.

Well, Zato and Millia both used dark magic for their powers, and Zato-1 sacraficed his sight for control over spirits (Eddie). Millia killed Zato-1, and then Eddie took over the corpse. Zato-1 was allways in control till he died.

@viperkilo they aren't around much, few were even released in the U.S. I think, what copies are left that I saw were like collectors items at collector's prices $100 + , your best bet is to "find" them in "downloadable format" on the "interweb" ...."somewhere" no biggie really, it's not your fault they never made a whole lot of them for official release :P and they would all sooner disapper before you got any or all of them in cd format

Yes, they had a concert where they gave vocals to numerous songs from both Guilty Gear and BlazBlue, just search the game with "LA Vocal" to find a playlist
