- My Seoul South Korea travel diary. My first trip was full of amazing food, kpop, kdramas, great shopping, cute cafes, and amazing experiences. I explored Myeongdong, Bukchon Village, Insadong, Sinsadong, Itaewon, Gangnam, and Hongdae. I was only there for 6 days over Christmas, which was definitely not enough. I can't wait to go back.

South Korea definitely stands out the most out of all Asian countries I've visited. Something so strong and original about this place with culture, entertainment, ideas, innovation.. I gotta go back
thats a little bit biased, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, even China have bigger and better cities. South Korea is good, but mediocre to say the least, its only popular because of the KPOP, but cultural wise, Japan and China are more rich in history.

Japan tried to invade korea multiple times, they failed because chinese helped korea to fight off the japanese. Doesn't mean Japan didnt influence korea. even Gimbap, korean sushi, is influenced by japanese sushi, learn your history before telling other people to learn history!

recommend you visit Korea in Spring or Autumn season. such a beautiful country. every season in Korea is worth to visit actually, but I love Spring and Autumn colors in Korea. so bright and greener.

If you ever get a chance to go to Korea again, make sure to visit the countryside. Where the mountains meet the ocean is incredible, especially in Korea's southern most island, Jeju. 🙂

외국인들이 경복궁을 보고 감탄할 때, 군대 생활 2년 넘게 경복궁에서 근무 하면서 경이롭고, 아름다운 곳이 아닌 힘든 근무지로서 바라 봤다는게 아이러니 하네요.
출입금지 였던 경회루 위를 수시로 올라 갔는데도 그 아름다움을 제대로 못 느꼈다니.
지금은 신축 되었을 경회루 북쪽에서 향원정 좌측 지역이 부대 연병장이었기에 경복궁 관광객들의 자유로움과 군인 이라는 억압된 자유가 이질적이었던 기억이 있습니다.
갑자기 그 때가 생각나서 주저리 했네요 ㅎ

Life was so wonderful before the pandemic. I've been to the BTS pilgrimage restaurant too. The lady was so nice and so friendly. I could see why BTS boys were highly praising about her. She does good work for the community, even before she knew BTS, as she's a devoted Catholic. Anyway, I got to see some places I still need to check out, since I didn't really know about them until I saw it here. Thx!
