Thanks for your reaction to this great inspiring song. You are right, every Ukrainian was ready to fight the Russians. Today I spoke with my friend, he is on the frontline under Bakhmut. Next month is turning 60 and he's afraid he'll be forced to retire. His son is in another unit somewhere near him. I pray both of them live to victory. Слава Україні! Героям слава!

As a suggestion if you consider another song with some historical context - Jerry Heil - Kozatskomu Rodu (eng. Cossack kin) - the song compares Modern ukrainians to the late Medieval/Modern Era (XV - XVIII cent.) ukrainian self-organized semi-nomadic people/warriors who were first of our lands to resist to the Moscow Empire (among others) seriously.
