My Mother loved touring mansions, and it’s one of the first ones we saw together, on the first of many road trips! I wouldn’t trade those road trips for all the money in the world! 🙂
Great video Roger! it's such a beautiful city. I'm amazed at the number of museums and artwork for a place that size. That's the kind of place I'd like to live in. On the other hand, it's too bad it's so close to Louisville, otherwise it's a great pick. One other thing I learned about it is that the city council built a ballpark over a Civil war era cemetery without moving the graves. That's just creepy. That said, your video was top notch as per usual.
@@AdventureswithRoger It reminds me of the "Poltergeist" movies. Too weird. Hopefully they get those graves moved to a more respectable final resting place soon.
@@AdventureswithRoger thanks for responding. I enjoy your your content. Keep up your great work. I actually went to Rose Hill Elementary and they used to say it was haunted. I wasn't sure if the cemetery was the reason or not.
Wow this is really neat? Love watching candy making. Jeffersonville has a neat riverfront and good eats. Have you rode the spirit of Jasper yet? Goes from Jasper Indiana to French lick Indiana. The journey goes through the middle of my family farm.
Even Martha Washington Candies? Well, that brand was around 60 years ago, at least in my town area in Indianapolis - Lawrence Township at Devington Shopping Center which I worked at in 1970 - 1972 (Haag's Drug Store) Didn't realize there is history...so much unique history in my birthplace state, Indiana. Jeffersonville is a place to see, too. Hey! I like that Clark County Museum & Fire Museum. Roger - What kind of cameras do you use? One of my few is a Gopro 9. Got the "media-mod" with it. Also have a Sony DSC-1 & Nikon 3300S. Your camera(s) are very good.
I’ve used three cameras for these. For a cinematic look, a Canon XA10. Rolling shots, a Go Pro 7 mounted to the hood of the car. Wide shots, an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Over the last year, I’ve used the iPhone 12 Pro Max on everything, mounted to both a tripod and hood rig. It does an exceptional job and it’s always with me! The only thing it doesn’t do is night vision, which the XA10 does very well.
@@AdventureswithRoger - I forgot to mention my Apple iPhone "mini" 12 I got late August of 2021. It is my first "real phone" compared to the few " flip phones" I use to have for over 20 years. It does well with pictures and videos as you know. The Gopro 9 is fine but to me, complicated. Don't care for the "cloud saving" of the unit plus, it's slow to get to different screen levels. Sometimes, I wish I had got a camcorder. I checked into the different models and learned toward the Canon for several reasons but, somehow liked the Gopro for its versatility. Guess at my age (72) I need some "expert training" from someone...after I go for much needed cataract surgery, which I want to do by the first half of the new year ahead. Viewing programs and especially reading is literally a pain!
I am a Howard by marriage but I don't think there is any relation. I used to drive to Louisville and didn't know all this was in Jeffersonvile. Thanks for the info.
@@markwiese1165 Ah, Louisville. I knew that’s what you meant. Never been to the Slugger Museum. Frazier Museum, just down the road on Main, is also pretty amazing.
Back in the 1970s/80s Jeffersonville Township did have the H&B mfg plant and Louisville Slugger bats and golf clubs were made in s Indiana but they moved to Louisville late 80s early 90s. Nice video great camera work - audio just so so
Thank you. Love the light show bridge.
We loved touring the Howard Mansion! It was truly magnificent! The workmanship was amazing!

🎉great video!
Thank you!!
Schimpff’s is one of a kind! We loved watching the demonstrators make red hots!
A really neat place and nice people too!
My great grandma worked at the Howard Steamboat Museum in the 1990s (possibly the 80s as well).
What a beautiful place. 🙏🏻💕
Thank you very interesting
My pleasure, Debbie!

Thanks once again! Yes I’d read about dead field. Can you imagine playing baseball there after you know dead people are literally under your feet!

@@AdventureswithRogerdo you know if the old Rose Hill Elementary school (whom the baseball field was behind) ws built on that same cemetery?
@@RlsIII-uz1kl I don’t have any information to that affect

No I hadn’t. I’m thinking about doing a train segment this year though

Don’t forget that most of the baseball bats made in the US are made in Jeffersonvill.
Where would that be?
@@AdventureswithRoger just off I65. You can see the world’s largest bat on the roof. The Louisville Slugger factory.
