As always amazing, Ray did 2 guys for me and I still haven't gotten to build a shooting cab. 37 star wars pods later and finally I'm getting started this weekend.
no schematic, just what I figured out and showed for the video. The white pair and the green pair of wires are your important ones for controlling the counter. the red and black are to power it (5v will do). If you have ay trouble wiring it up let me know!
What was the solenoid that you are using there? I found some Ghost Squad shells (no internals) from arcadespareparts and wanted to use a larger solenoid than what would be used for a standard Gun4ir build - looks like you have a slightly bigger one there?
Dude this is sick looking.. have you seen some people adding a reload button with the ammo base on the gun and do these kits come where you can add additional buttons if you need or what do you do for some games that need more buttons?
You can definitely add more buttons with this kit. I stuck with just three buttons on the gun because that’s what my old light guns had and it’s what all of my emulators are set up to use Any additional inputs that I need I do with buttons that are on the cabinet console
Once the paint work was done and dry, I finally got started on it. But work and travel sometimes meant I could only work on it for a couple of hours a week :-/ Overall it took me like a month, but actual hands-on time with it was probably more like 3-4 days
its been done by PapaGustavoKratos DIY , but required a second Arduino and dedicated power for it. I didn't think the extra parts, power cables, and trouble was worth it seeing as the counter isn't really visible while you are playing
@ no. Just do your initial GUN4IR calibration by aiming as you naturally would and the offset will be taken into account and your shots will line up in-game
Great job . Came out perfect Alien is also one of my favorite themes and games and artwork etc . I saw that you said that it wasn’t too heavy Ray thought it would be and didn’t recommend it when I discussed a while back but now I may try to do it myself Of course now it’s harder to get that nerf I just scored a terminator salvation topper so I need a rifle n I prefer these over the salvation ones for sure
@@supermetalgamerman5930 I joked with Ray about doing a conversion to my metal airsoft pulse rifle, but we both laughed about how heavy that would be 😂 But yeah, I like this one way more than the terminator salvation rifle
Saw this originally on a FB Mancave group and definitely would like to build my own so thank you very much for posting this video! Couple of questions I had before deep diving into this. Does the GUN4IR kit allow for some kind of customized sound font (similar to what you see with diy lightsaber projects) to be added to it such either flashing a sound file to a chip or inserting a micro-sd card? Was thinking of finding a way to add that iconic pulse rifle sound if possible. The other question I had was for your build did you go with a particular color for the fish eye lens? Was kind of hoping to see what that looked like. Thanks!
the GUN4IR doesn't handle any sound effects, the only sound I get from mine is that of the solenoid moving back and forth. If you had a totally separate sound board it might be possible to trigger it from the GUN4IR pro micro via a type of relay. The fish eye lens I have is black, you can see it at the 3:25 mark. It just threads over the IR camera lens
@@Brad-DThanks Brad! That helps a bit with deciding what I might want to do here for this. I’ve built a few lightsaber soundboard projects in the past and that was what I was hoping to use in my painted nerf pulse rifle replica since you can tie it to a 28mm speaker and add sound fonts for various button pushes, even some randomized ones that pull from a list / configured with gestures, that sort of thing. Then I saw your build to actually turn it into a light gun and now the plan is to do both if it can be cramfu’d inside the thing.

Hello Dan I’m new to to your channel I was wondering if you have a light gun build that you sell to your viewers or if you have tried oneeyedshooter light gun legends build I appreciate what you do thanks
That looks so damn cool! I wish I had the tools, skills, and time to do this.
With a build like that, now you need a big projector screen :D
The barrel leds will look great in the dark
I can only chime in and say what a fantastic job. Well done sir. When I get the courage, I know where my video is.
The swimming in lightguns is every man's dream Mr GunKing!
😂
Keep your eye out for Blamcon light guns - a light gun makers' dream! :)
Damn great first gun built boss. Love the ammo counter and LED accent ❤ very well executed Sir
Great build, Brad! Enjoy!

That's awesome and I want one.
Wow! that's awesome brad, thanks for sharing! love your content
an awesome weapon there is
Nice! I love the red lights on recoil. Just Awesome!
Thanks for sharing love the videos!
Thanks for watching!
That pulse rifle is freaking awesome man! Always wanted to create one myself. Thanks for mentioning my vids. :)
Shut up and take my rupees! Looks awesome.
Last piece of the puzzle on my cab is sending my Aimtraks to Ray for conversion.
This is so cool. Great stuff
Awesome job!!!
Dude that's absolutely sick, thanks for sharing! :)
Man that is cool. Also great video all the editing was fantastic. Very informative and clear
Thanks Man!
Brad this is absolutely f’in awesome, you are a wizard, I love your channel so much
I Love that you love it!
Amazing and inspiring. I hope my 3D printed attempt turns out half as good
Can’t wait to see that one!

I used the big 24v one found in the Aliens Extermination arcade guns

if your running this on teknoparrot, I think you can change the sounds in the game pretty easy
He solonoid in the alien pulse rifle is really that big no wonder why its so loud XD
When you powered the cob led lights..you connected the power and the ground wires to the solenoid PCB power and ground wires right?
@@lccraw0629 Yup!
This way when the solenoid gets power, so does the light
That’s awesome Brad great video and nice gun as well. I hope one day I can create my own Gun4IR, how long did it take you to Mod your Gun4IR Gun?
Once the paint work was done and dry, I finally got started on it. But work and travel sometimes meant I could only work on it for a couple of hours a week :-/
Overall it took me like a month, but actual hands-on time with it was probably more like 3-4 days
Could be nice to be able to bind the ammo count to a mamehooker variable

Thank you. Might be my first gun4ir build too. Is it possible to fit the camera in the rifle barrel or do you have to place it in the launcher part?
The camera is too big for the rifle barrel, but it’s a perfect fit for the grenade
@@Brad-D Thank you does it make the aim a bit off with the camera in the grenade section if your playing without crosshairs?
@ no. Just do your initial GUN4IR calibration by aiming as you naturally would and the offset will be taken into account and your shots will line up in-game
Great build! How is the plastic and feel compare to a heavy duty arcade gun?
It’s got a decent weight to it but thankfully most of it’s in the rear so it’s not too tiring to hold it up for longer gameplay sessions

@@SkyeWelse As far as gun-shells go, this one has a lot of space inside for goodies
I'd love to see the post in the FB Mancave group you mentioned :)
Wow
You should build them for a business. I'd be your first customer.
Me 2nd
How can I purchase one from you?
Amazing!!!!
When your ready to sell that or start making them let me know.
