This is chapter 2 of NCERT History Class 6 Textbook titled FROM HUNTING GATHERING TO GROWING FOOD. Here on the map we have first identified some places from where archaeologists have found proof of hunter gatherers and then those places from where proof of farming, herding and rearing of cattle have also been found. We have talked about how hunter-gatherers used to operate. Then we have talked about 4 probable reasons why people in ancient times needed to move from one place to another. These hunter gatherers used stone tools for hunting of animals. We have learned about Paleolithic Era, Mesolithic Era and Neolithic Era in this video. The domestication of animals, the different use of grains, the storing of animals all of these have been discussed in depth. We also discussed some basic facts about Mehrgarh Settlement.
