John was also coked up and on whatever else he was on. Same with Anthony. Both of who could have died bc it got so bad, especially John. JOHN was literally in and out of consciousness because his brain was pretty much gone. He was living solely through his spirit’s will to stay alive. All of those drugs really destroy your brain chemicals which is why his emotional energy is all over the place . Some nights he is completely himself like during the “Off the Map”, Slane Castle” “Alcatraz”, Chorzow”, and some Japan shows after coming back. He has it in him, it just only comes out at certain times. Enjoy every moment of him instead of wishing he was “fun” to watch back then 🤦♂️ you have no idea what he has gone through, clearly from that statement you made . And you clearly haven’t watched those post mothers milk/californiacation shows I mentioned that shows him rocking out even harder from back then and when Josh played. Those few shows alone blow Josh out of the water.

Remember when Frusciante was fun to watch in concert ? Mothers milk and Californication eras mostly.
The last time we saw that kind of energy was in the Josh Klinghoffer concerts.
