Same! I've been using keyboard, mouse, and Akai MPK Mini for years but a few months ago I did get the FL Key 49 and it blew me away. The first thing you'll notice is how good the keys feel. It's a night and day difference from the MPK Mini as much as I love that MIDI controller. FL Key is incredible and it's very intuitive and versatile. It's also the best out of the line-up. You will not be disappointed.

I personally did not like the velocity sensitivity so I turned it off. I found chord mode underwhelming so you might have to take some time to program your own chords. Its best used with FL plugins if you want to use the knobs and faders to control parameters along with the mixer. Otherwise it's not reinventing the wheel. cheers
Thank you! Have you tried updating your firmware? Find the section for it in the video if you want to see how. Alternatively, check in settings, MIDI, to see if your FLkey is recognised correctly by FL Studio.

Just got the 49 key and I’ve been looking for a tutorial to go over all its features. This sums it up in a great amount of time and now I feel more confident in using the keyboard! Thank you!
Good explanation but one thing challenging is the firmware update and drivers download requires one to enable WebMIDI API(allows website to communicate with the midi instrument to recognized) which not mentioned anywhere on Novation or FL website. It's a personal struggle and frustrating.
In SL Mk2 there's a switch which triggers two way power supply.. USB n Adapter.. In mid position it is Off... But in Launchkey Mk3 there's is no switch to power off the keybrd.. I am not aware whether u have seen the rear panel of Novation SL MK 2.. Hope u understand now Bro.

But help me understand something.the functions that faders have(controlling the mixer and some parameters of the plugins) can also be done through the knobs? So if i go with the 37 and not the 49 version, i wont be loosing anything that much right? Apart from the extra keys of course. Than you in advance my friend! Keep it goin'
For FL Studio without a doubt I recommend any of the FL Keys by Novation depending on your budget & space. But for other DAWs & depending on the DAW, there might be other options tailor made for them. Also, it depends on your needs (whether you want piano like feel on the keys or more pads,knobs & faders)
If learning piano is your purpose, go for 61 since that one extra octave of playing range has an effect on you learning how to play better both handed in my opinion.

No, Ableton has its own Novation product I believe. Novation LaunchPad & LaunchKey
I had the mini versiom of that and it did not auto map to Fl and all the instruments
and other tools in Fl . I exchanged it for something else.

So on my 49key, knobs can pretty much do everything that faders do. I imagine it should be the same for the 37. Appreciate the support bro 🍻

I'm using my FLKey on my desk, and my old 88key is on the stand to the right 💯

Been making edm music for about a year and i really want to learn to play piano, should i get the 49 or 61 key version?

my adice there is, get a digipiano, it has way better keys, you wont learn proper piano on a synth kb.
