Justin Fields seems like the perfect role model for young athletes. He says and does all the right things. It has definitely been a pleasure watching the kid play.

When Justin came back in and threw that TD, I had tears in my eyes. Not because of the play, just from the toughness and heart he displayed.
He handles the media like a veteran. I think he's embraced the notion that the starting Buckeye qb is a star/celebrity in Ohio.

I wish I was this mature at his age. What a great, well spoken young man. No excuses, not afraid, full of grit. Watch the Ted talk on grit. Also, what coach lets your star quarterback tell you his knee hurts and he’s wearing the big brace before a championship game, a coach that doesn’t hide. What a great hire Ryan Day was, is and will be and finding quality kids like Justin Fields not just great players.
This kid has kept it 100 ever since he stepped on campus. He represents this great university as good as anyone.
He did lie in this interview when he said he doenst have a chip on his shoulder but he does and it's why hes so great he sat on the bench behind fromm at Georgia and now hes outplaying fromm and fromm isnt even mentioned and fields is the best player in college football and he would win Heisman if it wasnt from ESPN wanting there sec player to win joe burrow it is bs the Heisman winner is whoever ESPN mentions the most the trophy is a joke

@@jaybrown3341 - What I'm about to say is NOT a knock on Justin .. I love the guy. But part of his "getting better every day" will be really developing a quicker release. He will do it because he has the ability (watch the pass after he came out of the tent with the brace. Once he set and fired, that was a release Marino or Namath would be proud of, and it was NFL accurate). Our receivers run really good routes, and I think you will see with each game he plays, he will really take advantage of that weapon. The speed of those receivers running quick crossing patterns and BANG Justin hits them within a 3 sec window would be damn near impossible to stop. The beautiful thing I see is that Justin is open to this.. He doesn't act like he has all of the answers, and that would be easy to do for a young man with his talent and success. He is very special.
I've been watching college football since 1993. Justin kind of reminds me of penn states kerry Collins as far as not having quickest release. Kerry had slow release but thsle 1994 penn states team was one of the best offensive teams all time and Kerry played in a super bowl. Think justins release is fine.

Love this guy, very polite and leads through his own play. Very tough but honestly, I hope they are smart about this. They have a capable backup so if he does look hurt to the point he loses a lot of mobility, be smart and put in Chugunov as he could use some good time.
I agree with 99% except for the fact that Chugunov isn't very good and I don't believe we can win against Clemson or Georgia with him

I hope the offense puts up a lot points quickly and enough to where they can pull him out and rest that knee, let the defense win the game for us Saturday. I still think our second string quarterback can put some points up on Wisconsin.
Hell if they can score up to 49 or 50 points on the scoreboard at half time, I say let him sit to rest that left knee so he can be ready to play whoever in the playoffs!!

You saying that for the first half or whole entire game?! I for one sure know that it isn't a scripted at all for his knee because when he took that blow right there, he could have been out for the rest of the game and couldn't play in the big ten championship game and the playoffs. So lets just be all lucky that it wasn't more of a blow than it was to where he is still able to run the ball to get a good pass going!! O-H

This young man arrived on campus in January. He is playing this well his first year starting. Not everyone can perform under the scrutiny of Buckeye Nation and the bright lights of college football. He is special and we can hope he achieves to his potential under the tutelage of Coach Day. GO BUCKS!

Wisconsin knowing that Justin Fields have a bad leg, they might try to take away Dobbins on the Read Option plays and force Justin Fields to beat them with his feet. That might be a key factor in the game, if Fields can't run. I hope that both Ryan Day and Justin Fields are aware of this and come up with a plan to counter this.

Justin Fields of Ohio State has exact number of TDs (47) as Burrow, with only 1 interception, and he achieved that EFFICIENTLY with half the number of attempts in passing (by comparison to Burrow), and by playing FAR LESS time than Burrow [in most games, only one half of games], so why on earth would so many White "analysts" for ESPN and others claim that Burrow will win the Heisman for sure!!!
