Adenoids are a mass of lymphatic tissue in the back of the nose and throat. They are part of a child’s immune system and play a significant role in fighting bacteria and virus that enter the body through the nose. These tissues grow till the age of 5-7 years after which they start shrinking.
When germs enter a child's body through the nose, the adenoids trap them and become temporarily swollen. With time the swelling reduces and adenoids return to normal size. If a child gets recurrent infections, the constant swelling causes the adenoids to remain permanently enlarged.

Usko pahele chota tha tab se twice in a month, sardi rahti thi..... We were in island (andman ) so waha pe generally sabhi bacche ko ye taklif hoti hai, due to sudden changes in climate. But andman was humid n very clean place.
But now since one yr we r in pune which is very dry n dusty place. Ab use 6 months me ek baar sardi hoti hai ya koi infection, now this time he has got infection with very thik mucus, fever but no cough. N due to this his neck lymphnodes are swollen this time.

My son has got adenoid problem.
He is 13 yrs 2 months old.
He is on the plumper side.
He keeps his mouth open while sleeping and will find little sweat on forehead at the time of sleeping.
As per ENT doctor his adenoid is on the 3 rd level..and through medications it's not possible to cure. He is advising us to go for surgery.
