Damn, his calves are legendary
I also have genetic calves. I rarely train them and when i do they just look awesome with very little effort. Ppl think i work hard on calves. In reality im yawning when i do or i simply skip calve day. 🤣
@@dnegel9546 my calves are not really bad and I'm not even training that much lately, and when I was i usually used to do upper body cause I could barely do leg once a week (seriously, I don't know how some people train legs 3x a week), I got them biking through the hills of my town when I was little.
I'm pretty sure that I can get calves like his quite easily since legs has always been easier to build muscle for me even though training them once a week

Lmao ay man good genetics are great but its still so doable without
@Andraz Sturm POV: You're too lazy to do the research or the work to actually improve so you blame genetics.
Good is subjective
@Andraz Sturm I don't want big calves, they're gross to me. I want a thin waist and abs, I've done the research on how to stay lean and I do exactly that, regardless of my genetics.
Muscle is the same way.

“He doesn’t even train them at all” why do you hurt me like this bro

Calves are super genetic. I have massive ones and hardly train them at all, and my brother doesn’t work out at all, but his calves are huge. Mom holds records as a sprinter… so that is probably why
Small calves are actually better for sprinting, longer tendons means more explosiveness
Most sprinters don’t have calves. Your mum just had good calf genetics.

the reason his calves look so great is because he prances around like a fairy all damn day
as a dude with 'genetically blessed calves' that's actually it. When I ran I used to over-use my calves and get aches in the wrong spots but my calves were worked hard.
Also I walked a lot as a kid. You develop a lot of potential in your youth.
Then also when I do bent over barbell rows the muscles which get the biggest pump and doms after wards are my calves! Not my back, not my hamstrings - but my calves get the most blood flow.
So the key is to just have really bad mechanics and your calves will grow. or to increase muscle recruitment via awareness exercises ;P
I do calf raises as well - but I really feel them out... I can do them like three different ways where as most people only feel if they are going up or down. It all matters... feel the load distribution

Angle your feet inwards/ outwards to put better focus on the inner and outer Calf muscles if one is lacking! Build those legs, King!
@@warriorinagarden7573 yessir, I have been doing that plus every time I go up or down, I stay like that for a few seconds to build up tension. My ankle bones are really skinny, so it looks like I have tiny ass calves with no muscle at all.
@@victherattlehead5099 Sounds like you've got the right idea! You doing them flat or elevated? And I'm right there with you as far as my legs looking tiny haha
@@warriorinagarden7573 wdym flat or elevated? I do seated weighted ones and standing weighted ones
@@victherattlehead5099 So elevated ones are done standing with the front half of your feet on an elevated surface (I use a 2x4). It increases the Range of Motion and makes a great exercise just a little more effective! Not sure how well I explained it, but if you look up pictures you'll the get the gist
Had a teammate with calves like that. His legs were tree trunks. He was 6'3 310 and he could leg press 800 pounds, Squat 460, and even with all that weight he could dunk a basketball. He was a beast. Sadly he passed away in a car accident, he was drunk and he went off the road and drove straight into a parked boat on a trailer, died instantly. Some guys reslly are just built different.
God had to nerf him
Those calves are literally to die for bro. I have no calves and literally never wear shorts for that reason🤣🤣 but genetics are literally everything and he's blessed
You can grow your calves. But more importantly, you can learn to not give a fuck and wear shorts. I used to avoid shorts in my teens, but in my 20s I started wearing shorts because I literally didn't give a shit about what anyone thinks. Ironically that mindset made me look so confident and I started attracting more friends and more girls. Fast fwd 10 years and I realized I could grow my calves by training them 4 times a week and emphasizing the stretch/full range of motion. Now I actually love my calves. They look like a different man's
Big calves look great for posing. But if it makes you feel any better big calves are totally useless athletically.
Its smaller calve that aid in all the extreme levels of physical activity. Think of it like the remarkable speed of a slim greyhound or cheetah vs that of the massive fullness of a rottweiler or a lion.

@@voidcheque7019 because that’s not how you get big calves. This dude is just clueless.
That's right. Me though, I played soccer in high school and walked and rode a bike a ton. Always been skinny. Heavier people who walk a lot get large calfs, that's just how it is. The secret is actually walking and using your legs when you're heavy.
@@Johnty270 it's a fucking joke
I was super skinny as a kid. Walked everywhere, cycled and swam a lot on weekends. By high school my calves and quads were huge on a stick thin upper body that you could see my ribs. After 18 I built my upper body up but my legs are still my best feature (followed by arms) because I still walk everywhere on top of hitting heavy leg days. Chest is my weakest area.

Bro I feel you. I had a trainer/ Bodybuilding coach come up to me and he was like "Damn buddy, I could train my calves every day for 10 years and not get calves like yours."
Haha same. I get asked quite often how I train them. I always feel a bit bad because the answer is I just do some calf raises occasionally. Completely undeserved.
Same here ! 😆
I have calves as a pro soccer player. I train them once in a week, 3 sets each calf (monolateral standing calf raises).
I had been overwheigth for my entire Life; not now, of course, i'm in a cut for under 10% BF.
My calves had been trained with my bodywheight for decades.
They are enanched for Life.
I'm at 9 % BF now, they are still huge, best muscle i've.
My one buddy used to say I had moose legs 😂😂 cause I'm 6'7" and I never needed to train my calves and have issues with comfort with pants as everyone wants skinny jeans or sum shit 😂😂
The last guy with the “genetic” calves also looks like his arches are flat in the footage of him with his shoes off. My husband also has huge “untrained” calves, but also has this flat-footed, fallen foot arches too. There is probably a connection between the two, as the calves develop because of the chain reaction up the leg that the flat arches creates. I wonder if a strength or fatigue test between the 3 men in calf strength would show interesting results. I wonder if the big calves are compensation for a weakness in the foot.
Anyone out there want to add to this anecdotal evidence? I’m interested to know.
Holy I did not even think of that! I’m in a foggy brain state right now so not sure of any other thoughts I could add, maybe that just remaining active more prevented the calf’s from being able to rest? Not in the way of training I just mean that the dude isn’t sitting down a lot. This is probably not the case, like I said I’m not fully capable for the capacity of mental cohesion
Not in my case i got 46cm calves and can do seated calf raises with 120kg for 12 reps, just need 1 more plate to max it out.
I'm flat-footed with the skinniest calves you could ever imagine
