DeMille is past his prime. The Maze is ponderous, slow and poorly written. Constant snide comments and the character keeps going over the same ground. I am a little over half way through this swamp of a book and I am ready to tap out. Carr is so much more entertaining and James Reece is a much more engaging hero than the sleazy and arrogant John Corey.
